Down a few more ounces today. I may get my wish and get into the 120's by the 1st. I seem to be ouncing my way down, but I'm being patient.
Lisa glad your feeling a little better. The flu is spreading like wild fire around here. Trying to stay away from anyone that is feeling sick. Lori you go girl, your doing fantastic. Luca looking at your stats, you've come along way. WTG nice. |

Really frustrated. Scale is going in the wrong direction. Honestly, haven't cheated but I havent been keeping an accurate count of my total carbs per day. Today I did and discovered I was using way too many carbs just in my coffee! I have 3 cups each morning while I'm sitting at my desk working. And I use half n half and a splenda packet for each cup. That's almost 2 carbs per cup! Times 3 is 6 carbs. So needless to say, as of tomorrow i am not using splenda in my coffee. I can tolerate no sweetener, I cant tolerate no cream.
I've also been making some really kickass dinners if I do say so. Sunday I made a low carb meatloaf using half turkey and half beef and used parmesan cheese in place of the breadcrumbs. Hubby and kids ate it up. Last night I made baked oven fried chicken, again using parm cheese for the breadcrumb coating. And tonight I made chicken parmesan meatballs with spaghetti squash in place of spaghetti. Fantastic! Kids loved it. I've been making 2-3 veggie sides with each dinner and everyone is eating it up. So I'm definitely getting my carbs from my veggies. Oh and for lunch today I made a BLT and used big lettuce leaves as my "bread". So freaking delicious. Ok enough about food. Frustrated but not giving up! Lori-awesome job, congrats! Misty- I'm sure you will meet your goal! |

Well, I made it out of my mom's house without succumbing to any carbs despite the urges. I still didn't eat as well as I would have liked but overall it was a success even though I was up a couple pounds when I got home. Those pounds will be obliterated soon enough Last edited by muncheechee; 01-15-2013 at 07:33 PM.. |

Hang in there momma!!
I use heavy cream in my coffee. Slightly less carb count than 1/2 & 1/2 but since you drink 3 cups of coffee it may be worth the switch. Also helps up the fat |

Thanks Lisa andMunchechee. I just checked and I have Trader Joes half n half that has 1g carbs because of the 1g sugar, but my hwc has 1 g carb with 0 sugars. I will be trying that today. Also going to add some coconut oil to the coffee.
Scale was down a pound so keeping my head up. Have a great day everyone! |

Goodmorning, cancelled work today because we are getting lots of snow. So exercise will be shoveling.
Lisa and momma I noticed your from NY are getting all this snow today too. I'm in Ma.Momma your menus sound great and right on LC. You'll start seeing the weight come off, just hang in there. I have to keep a written journal. I keep it right on my desk because my big problem is I found out I wasn't always adding some of the little lc things I pick on through out the day. Munch wtg on getting out of the house without eating carbs at your moms. Moms are such great cooks it's so hard. Lisa hope your flu is completely over. The other day you were talking about cauliflower crust. Thought I post this recipe to make cauliflower bread sticks they are so good to dip in lc sauce. Hey misty! Yes its been snowing all morning and still going. I thought for sure my son would get a snow day from school but they only had a 2 hour delay. Im about to finish up my work for the day and then head outside to shovel, that will definitely be a good workout!

2 hour delay here too. We lost so many days due to Sandy we just cannot afford any snow day. If we have to take a snow day they will extend school after our scheduled last day. I'm not sure who they expect to show up

Hey everyone! So i think I'm going to limit my veggies to just with dinner. I had spaghetti squash the other day and it had a lot of carbs. I've been having between 20-25 carbs a day from my veggies and splenda and half n half. I'm trying to get out of my stall so I'm going to really limit the carbs as much as I can to see if that jumpstarts a whoosh.
Have to share this recipe I made for dinner tonight. I borrowed the recipe from Lindas recipe for Italian chicken, except I put it in my crockpot (love that thing). I put chicken thighs, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning on the chicken, then poured a can of crushed tomatoes on top (I don't use jarred spaghetti sauce). Cooked on low for 5 hours and then took the chicken out and set aside and added a package of cream cheese to the tomato sauce in the pot. Mixed that up til it was all melted and put chicken back in for about 20 minutes. Made pasts for the kids and I had green beans. It was soooo good. Kids had two plates, said it tasted like pizza, and it kind of did! |

TOM and eating everything in sight. LC, but lots of calories, and more carbs than usual. Got Atkins bars on clearance at the grocery store, and ate one with dinner. Ug. Don't think I'll see 174 again tomorrow morning.

I'm here! Checking in, been MIA for a little. It seems like I went from being not busy to super busy in a couple months.
![]() Okay here's the run down -I have met my personal 1/21 (my 34th b-day!) goal of being down 50 pounds I weighed in yesterday at 237 which is a total of 52 pounds lost since October! ![]() -I started my new job this week! I am a CNA and I will be doing home care I had to go to orientation 2 times this week and I'm just waiting for clients now! I hope I will be doing something next week because we definitely need the $$ -I got selected by houseparty.com to host an Atkins house party and they sent me loads of free schwag! I get to get 16 free frozen Atkins dinner and invite people over to try them. I also got a free cookbook, 9 boxes of Atkins bars for everyone to try, a Atkins water bottle, apron, and grocery totes for everyone along with coupons for everyone yay it is next Saturday ![]() -Was NOT feeling well for 2 days with some major gut issues as in the pipes stopped moving, but I'm hoping that's on it's way to resolving with some fresh greens and lots of water, it was so PAINFUL! -It's my b-day the 21st and my mom is having us over for pizza and cake, I asked her if she could find some CarbSmart ice cream and I am making a LC pumpkin cream cheese bake for me to eat instead of cake! ![]() I hope everyone is doing well, I will have to set a new personal goal for myself now. I think part of it will be to start getting some more exercise which I HATE, but I know it's good for my body and might help with some tummy troubles. ![]() I will try to be here, but honestly hope to be busy working! I will check in when I can! |

Empugs and Snowdancer - awesome work, keep it up!
I've been yo-yoing myself. Got back down to 229 and I go back to 231. Really frustrated. 3 weeks now and still nothing for the last 2 weeks besides going back and forth with these 2 lbs. I was so frustrated last night I almost had hubby go out and get me an ice cream sundae with all the fixings. But then I realized how awful I would feel afterwards so I ended up mixing some mascarpone cheese with splenda and vanilla and a smidge of peanut butter. Tasted like melted ice cream with peanut butter sauce. Did the trick and made me feel like I was having the real thing. Hope this scalemoves in the right direction real soon. |
