Hi everyone,
So my first day back on the lc wagon went pretty well but it's obvious I need to plan more filling, lower carb meals... especially for dh. Meal planning is challenging for me but I have gotten a lot better at planning dinner. Just need to make a plan for breakfast and lunch. Sometimes I just feel like I spend half my day either planning or cooking meals. Practice makes perfect (eventually?).

Anyone have any great meal planning tips for people like me who tend to over complicate things?

I do not try to make it complicated Meat/veg everynight for my family and I do make them so sorta side like rice. I just eat the meat/veg combo usually fresh veg-think fresh green beans or broccoli in butter or if I have time mashed colliflower!!

Well I have done pretty good today, I got my exercize on with The firm Aberoic body shaping (1 hr of cardio/weights)!!! Eating has been pretty good today so far, night time is the hardest for me. I think I get bored and just want something Good to eat!!LOL! How is everybody else doing today??HOPE GREAT!!

woohoo
down 1 1/2 this morning.

on my way baby!!!!!

I got that thin and skinny feeling. I love it vs. any bloat feeling. I lose weight when I got that thin feeling. I like it! plus I am drinking tons of water. started using a few more diet soda then I normally do for taste change. cut those down and subbed water and voila, weight dropping good again

I can't wait to hit goal.

Well this is quite an active crew!!

Day 6 for me. Good first day back to work.

Meal planning is Telly a challenge for me too probably because I really don't enjoy cooking! I tend to cook for the week on Sunday and freeze things.
I made meatballs and burgers that are ready to be cooked as well as a crockpot lasagna and a spaghettini squash concoction with crab and shrimp. Since I have a fridge full of legal food I feel so much more prepared to face the week ahead!,

Hello all. Still playing around right above 199. I've been there before and that area was my normal weight before I quit smoking and just stopped caring. Lets just say ice cream didn't stand a chance against me.

So I've dropped most of the weight I gained during that time I think *didn't weigh during my bad days* So on the 4th Of December I said " I can't fit into any of my clothes,i[m seriously over this." And I've been pretty good. Cheated on Christmas/Eve/Day and now just got that water weight off.
So I go to the gym 5x a week about 3/5 hours of cardio a week.

Hi I'm joining in I started in October and made it through the holidays so I hope it's smoother sailing the next couple months. I have lost 43 so far and would love to drop another 20 or more by summer, I am heading back to work which will be more physically demanding (CNA) and also trying to kick up the activity a bit. I hate straight exercise but I like playing disc golf with my dad and Just Dance on the Wii which make me move!
Good luck to all look forward to the challenge!

I really don't know why I'm not losing. I've been in this stall for a couple months already. I've tried reducing my dairy, upping/lowering calories, I don't know what to do anymore.

If you are fallowing Atkins, I know that before it's considered a true stall you can't be losing in inches or on the scale. Have you measured? You can be taking off those inches and still not show on the scale.

I'm joining in!!!

Just found this "Challenge" and May is my target date. I am so late getting started, my daughter is getting married in May and has been engaged for almost a year! I get overwhelmed thinking about just how much weight I need to lose and it almost stifles me; certainly I seem to sabotage myself. BUT now I am determined. The Holidays are over and my visitors are gone, so I am starting tomorrow on Very Low Carb WOE. My dh is committed also. He'd like to probably lose about 25#....I have more like 60-70# to lose, I'm sure. I have started at a gym, have been walking on a treadmill for about 40 minutes 3x/week. They also have Zumba classes at the gym and would love to give that a try....just have to get up my nerve I went through my pantry and got rid of a bunch of the simple carb treats that are NO good for me. I have to plan out my meals though cause lack of planning has caused "cheats" in the past. Looking so forward to feeling better. Can't wait 'til the first 5-7 days are past so I can lose my "cravings"....and some weight!

I'm down a pound from yesterday's weigh in. 202.8. Still losing some of that horrible water weight maybe, and the next is the fat! I'm not expecting any miracles overnight with my weight loss, but as long as the scale keeps moving downward every week, I'll take whatever losses I can get.

how close are you to your goal? your pic you seem slim already and not needing to lose much?? so if it is the last pounds they can be a struggle.

I was great all day - ended with 1100 calories, then I had a high fiber tortilla with a smear of peanut butter, then chocolate, then brownie, then 3 mini eclairs, then the bottom of a bag of Doritos, then a spoonful of peanut butter, then I went to bed............so I'm not happy today or very proud...sniff, sniff

I will make a better effort today and tonight......

Just got on the scale and even though I only had 1165 calories yesterday, my weight didn't budge...hope this isn't going to turn into a stall...anyone have any tips for a stall coming right out of the gate? (Never happened to me before)

Hope everyone has a good day with lots of success and loads of will power

good morning all!
garden, you just telling us you messed up(we have all been there) is half the battle. you will do better today.
yesterday was good. until the kids brought chinese food home..i had 2 bites of beef and broccoli coated in sugary sauce that i tried to wipe off..it was very difficult to resist..i had to leave the room to avoid further damage..i drank 3 bottles of water and a couple cups of green tea.
my plan today is
b-2 eggs
l-pork = sauerkraut
d-chicken caesar salad
same as yesterday minus the bites of chinese garbage.

Down 6.6 pounds of bloat in my first two days back to this woe... feels so great to be on a healthy track again. My fasting blood sugar has come down a lot already and I hope to have back to normal levels in a couple weeks. I am having some major cramps in my ab muscles though (weird side effect developed after having my son) so I'm drinking some broth to see if that helps since hydration alone is not doing the trick.

Can I join too? This is my second time on Low carb and I don't plan on getting off it. Lost 60 lbs my first time in 2004, then had 3 kids and now that I'm done having kids, I need to focus on me! I started again Jan 1st, and was at 237.6 and this morning is was 234.2! YAY!
I have coffee every morning, sometime 3 or 4 cups. Can't help it, I love coffee. I even stopped adding splenda and just have it with half and half.
Have 2 eggs for breakfast, usually over medium, cooked in butter.
Lunch was left over pulled pork that I made with homemade BBQ sauce using splenda instead of any sugars.
I snack on cheese sticks, and last night I had some cottage cheese that I mixed a little splenda and cinnamon.

I'm hoping to be at 175 by June.
