Happy birthday, Abi! :hear t: Enjoy your day, girlfriend!

It's raining! Yea! I love the smell of clean, rain-freshened air. It's supposed to rain most of the day - 1/2 to 3/4 inches. What a great way to start the weekend.

I'll check back later. TTFN

Happy Happy Birthday Abi!!!!!

Yes, loving that we have some rain! It's nice and muggy out. I heard on the radio that the drizzle is going to pick up speed around 4-5 this afternoon. Leaving work early is in my cards I believe I love when it's raining. 3 days of American Idol this week has pulled me away from my newest book, I think the rainy evening will entice me to sit outside with Pup and pick back up.

Speaking of Idol, I can't believe how many awful people made it, and how many really awesome promising people got sent home. For Shame Voters!!!

On the boy front, he showed me the calendar on his phone and there are peoples birthdays spotted everywhere, he's banging his head wondering how mine disappeared- was it even on the calendar to begin with..... I explained that his phone is interfaced with facebook. I don't have my bday on my facebook. so...... but Tony I like the tattoo idea. Or maybe a sandwich board on the street corner lol!!!

FF, do you have the oven yet?!?!

events, events, events!

the oven is just a few miles away, Blondie. However, I do not want my friend to have any accidents bringing it here. So, I told him to bring it on Monday. The weather should be clear by then. I waited this long, a few more days won't kill me. Something else may, but not the wait. I will have to call the podiatrist on Monday too. His office mgr has not reponded to my hails.I called 4 times. What is going on? Otherwise, all is well. FF

ff, maybe the office manager's worried if the podiatrist hires you, he/she will have less job security...people can be funny sometimes...

marilee, come out here and you can have a little snow! :-)

britt, i agree 100% about idol...i don't know about you, but i thought most of the guys sucked - the girls were way better this year and i'm wondering if maybe they shouldn't narrow it down by gender...if the ten best singers are girls, so be it...do you know if the judges have one "save" again this year?

abi, i want to hear every detail about your birthday...did your co-worker's know?...are you getting together with family?...it's nice having a birthday on a friday or weekend day, isn't it?...

forgot to report that i weighed in this week at 226, so i am still 8 lbs. heavier than i was at surgery, but with all the exercise, that has to be muscle...i read this week that 5 lbs. of muscle is the size of your fist and 5 lbs. of fat is the size of your forearm...

everyone thinks i've lost weight, my clothes fit better if not looser, i'm still on the same belt-hole, so i'm not gonna worry about it right now...my bp is considerably lower and i feel so much better...i'm gonna focus on eating healthy and exercising at least until i see my doc this spring...

Thanks for the birthday wishes everybody!

My drive to work went fine. They had sanded and salted all the steep curves. I wasn't going to mention that it was my birthday but facebook had already alerted several people I was friends with of course. My end of the plant sang happy birthday to me and my group said I could pick the music we were going to listen to for the last hour of the day which was sweet. They are all in their 20's except for one person so my taste is not their taste.

When I got home there were 27 wishes on facebook for me and then DD and all 4 grandkids called to chat so all in all it was a great day.

Talk to you all in the am. It is about my bedtime now at 6pm.

Pleasant dreams, Abi

Sounds like you had a great day. In anticipation of OVEN DAY, I am discarding the Ronco. Just no room, and nobody wants it in its present condition. I was supposed to do it a week or so ago, but as the oven was slow in coming, I thought WHAT'S MY RUSH? Also, I developed a sort of emotional attachment to it. I will have to think of it as a Borg drone, and sever it from the collective. FF

FF, it is so hard to sever those attachments we have to stuff that has served us well. I hope you didn't cry too much over tossing it in the dumpster. Around here you can just put stuff like that by the road, put a sign that says free and it get's scooped right up!

Slept late this morning - until 4:30! Need to get motivated and get some house work done. Later a trip to the store.

Marilee, what is "Grim"? You have my curiosity aroused!

Talk to you later! Have a great day Blitzers!

Happy Time Change everyone!

I like that my computer does it automatically. Have to remember how to change the time on the stove and microwave.

Tony, thanks for the happy birthweek! Enjoy the time with Emmy this week! You sure are going to town at the gym!

Yesterday was such a beautiful day. All that sun reminded me that spring is just around the corner. FF, you are probably thinking "oh, no, warm weather coming our way!"

Mass today is for my mother so older sister and maybe younger sister will drive down. We will have a nice chat and laughs at The Backside for breakfast. My brother who lives locally will be out of town unfortunately.

May make some nacho chips today to take to work tomorrow. One of the girls I work with is interested in trying to make them and wants to give them a taste test.Nacho Cheese Chips {using almond flour} | Comfy Belly

I will check back later to see how everyone is today. Have a great Sunday Blitzers!

wow, i thought i posted this morning!..haha!...seriously, i read abi's post and wrote a response - must have lost it somehow...

abs, i hope the mass for your mom was comforting...how were the eggs and bacon?...

good day today...off day from the gym, but i will go in the morning...ds and i took a drive to plum island to see the devastation from the storm...there were bulldozers and excavators all over the place removing debris and repairing the beach...

what a beautiful day!...it was 55-degrees when i went to the market...i ran into a woman there who worked for me for ten years - i had not seen her for 10 or 12 years...she is so cute - she's almost 70 now, but was by my side when i was entrusted with turning two failing companies around...she followed me from the first company to the second and spent five years at each...it was great to see her...

today:
b: 4 oz. smoothie
l: skipped
d: pizza toppings and wings

Tony, the time change must have made the gang too tired yesterday! Wonder where your post went? I remember that happened to me once. Vicki found it on an earlier Blitz. lol

The Mass was lovely. They just happened to pick two songs that I just love. My
best friend from hs, Diane, the person who had the dream had tears in her eyes and wanted to know if we had picked the songs

My two sisters did make it down and I really enjoyed the breakfast at the Backside. I think if I changed my order the lady that owns the place would have a melt down. lol You just reminded me that I took a picture of them! Camera was still out in my car. From left to right my two sisters Laura and Polly and on the right sister in law Lynne.

Have a wonderful Monday Blitzers!

looks like a happy group, abs...now get in one of those pics yourself!...lol...

just a quick check-in as i have to get to the gym and have lots to do today...i am going to have a new sign constructed at the building - internally lit with tenant names etc...the one we have now is lackluster (i'm being kind!)...i have to look at some others the sign company has done to see the quality of their work...i got three proposals and i really like the designs of two of them, but am leaning toward one now...

okay, off to sculpt this fat body of mine! ha!

Sorry I've been MIA. I can't connect to the internet at home - need to have the cable company come out and see what's going on.

Abi, Grimm is a show on NBC on Friday night. It's hard to explain but it's a take on Grimm's fairy tales.

I only lost .8 pounds last week, but I can tell that my body is smaller. So, it isn't just about weight loss.

I'll touch base later.

Extra! Extra! Read all about it!!!

my phone battery died today and i just recharged it and saw i had a message...when i listened it was from ff - he's fine, but his computer has died (yet AGAIN!) and he has not been able to make it to the library to use theirs...

it seems back in 1973, ff borrowed the kama sutra for (ahem) a book report and never returned it, so he has been banned... :-)

hope everyone is having a great day...made ravioli and chicken cutlets for dinner (emmy's favorite) - i ate 5 small ravioli and a cutlet...yummy...

Happy Birthday Tony!!

Hope you have a wonderful day and do something special. Maybe the family will take you out to dinner! It sounds like you are really enjoying Emmy's visit. These times with the kids are really special aren't they.

Marilee and FF, bummer on the computer problems. Marilee, hope the cable company gets there quick and FF, hope you can make it to the library today. On Sunday mine crashed and when I left for church it was saying forever it was trying to fix itself. When I got home DH said that it said it could not fix itself but it was working. So no telling. I may be purchasing one soon.

Marilee, is Grim on the scary side? You know me, I have to leave the room if it gets too creepy.

I am so happy your clothes are getting looser and you are still on the downward trend.

Free meal today is pizza from another co. as the company restaurant says they can't do it for the next 2 weeks. I am boiling some eggs right now for egg salad but may have the tops off 2 slices if they have some meaty ones.

Britt, how are things with you? Did you get your extensions cut and dyed yet? Can't wait for some pictures!

Have a wonderful day Blitzers!

yes, Tony...Mr Bookman caught up with me

It was actually the CARAMEL Sutra. At the library now. It is hot as an oven here. Hot as an oven at home. HOOOOOOOTTTTT! Gonna have a big iced coffee when I get outta here. Mr computer, hopefully, will be back before the next pope is elected. I hope it will be Cardinal Dolan. This man was born to wear ruby slippers. We shall see. Tony, you are a veritable Superman. When I saw what you have been doing at the gym, I got a workout just reading your description. I hope my next communication will be from
my room.I am extremely uncomfortable here. Love & Profits; FLATFERENGHI

Happy birthday, Tony!!!! :j umpjoy: I hope you have a great day!!!!!!

Abi, Grimm isn't real scary. I recommend you go to "On Demand", or on NBC's website and start as far back as you can so you can get the gist. The story has progressed a lot and you may be lost if you start watching now. At least on the website, they will give you a summary of what it is about so you can start up with some understanding.

I'll probably call the cable company on Saturday and go through the process of their trying to fix my problem by phone, which they won't be able to do, so they will then set up an appointment. Brother....

Best get to work....TTFN

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TONY!!!

I was indeed off starving somewhere lol I try to stay away from my computer on the weekends, because I'll give in to the temptation to start working, and I don't like to turn my couch into my office if I can avoid it. I did however work from home yesterday and am quite proud to say I was just as productive as if I'd come into the office.

We went to the Ren Faire Sunday had a lot of fun to go along with an impressive sunburn, and 3 jumbo turkey legs and a pear cider.

Marilee- I was really into Grim for a while but then lost track after the 2nd season started and I've never gotten caught up.

Abi- I'm so happy to hear you got SO many birthday wishes!!! Warm fuzzies

FF- you crack me up. Excited to hear about the new oven... figures your computer would go out as soon as you are supposed to regale us with tales of porterhouses and roasting fish and stuff.

Tony- omg The Following!!! I need more than 41 minutes a week. I may have to start rewatching each episode mid-week to be fulfilled.

I am back, Birthday Boy!

Have a wonderful day! For dessert, as we speak, 9:13 pm eastern time, Mr Bocelli sings on one of your PBS stations...and NOT OPERA! He just finished singing LOVE ME TENDER. I wish you the kind of day I had on 2/14/13. I am still reverberating from that party. You deserve it. Tomorrow is OVEN DAY. I shall be baptising it on St Patrick's Day which is Sunday. I will not be doing corned beef and cabbage this year owing to the sodium. I will be listening to John McCormick recordings, of course. What do you think I should make for my 1st OVENing? The troll would like some consensus. In any case, have a glorious birthday, Tony! FF

FF, how about some of those giant turkey wings/legs? that you used to eat all the time a couple of years ago? Let's see if that new oven can crisp up that delicious skin! Do you have your computer back yet or did you go to the library yesterday. How far is it from where you live?

Tony, hope your day was great. Having some quiet thoughtful time alone is good for the soul. Did you all go out for dinner? I am guessing chinese! Yes, I would have to go into therapy watching The Following. Just the previews scare me. lol

Britt, I think you have told us before but what kind of work do you do. Nice and then not so nice to be able to do some work from home isn't it.

Marilee, I watch alot of stuff On Demand. May check out Grimm one of these days.

Had the tops off two slices of pizza yesterday. Having the egg salad today on top of a cup of lettuce.

Wishing you all a wonderful Wed.!
