Thanks Janice! Your superbowl plan sounds awesome. Agreed though, public outings that are non-LC oriented are the hardest. Good luck, you can do it!

I bought some pepperoni to microwave into chip like crispiness and will dip it in some LC spin-art dip I make. Superbowl is really hard for me!

TC!!!!!!! I tried to distract Sarge, but she's always on duty!!!
Glad the shenanigating is over.

I did okay - stayed mostly on plan with only a little taste of "this or that". Had a lot of salty meats, so my weight is up a bit. Hopefully I'll be back to last week's weigh in in a day or two.

But I did SOOOOO much better than past years... so a victory in my book!

Well, a little snow caused our church services to be cancelled. So what did I do with two, count 'em two, key lime pies? Thankfully, my son and family came over for a super bowl dinner and I got rid of MOST of one b/c my son loves that pie and DGS, who never eats sweets, ate about 1/4 of a pie. I sent my son home with 1/2 of the second pie and there's 1/2 of one sitting in my frig. I ate a piece but am down a pound from yesterday morning. Hopefully my husband will finish it up in the next day or so.

TC, thanks for the laugh out loud-

On another note, lent starts next week, the day before this challenge finishes, and that's a six week period also. I've always used it in the past to give up something that I was eating that I felt was getting out of control, but in the last year doing LC I don't feel that way about any food or food group. Anyone interested in another six weeks with a specific commitment to help us achieve our goals? Suggestions?

I was trying to look on the bright side of my slow weight loss and I figured out that if I lost only 2 pounds every six weeks this year I'd still be down 16 pounds by the end of the year. Of course I'd like to lose it by summer but I'm going for the mindset here--progress in the right direction is what matters.

Mobird, I've given things up for Lent before -- chocolate, all caffeine (which also included Chocolate!), cigarettes (34 years ago and never went back! ), but some years I make a positive vow -- something I am going to do. And mine for this Lent definitely should be getting back on track, including back to recording weight and food daily -- I could do it after reading daily devotional. Thanks for the inspiration!

I had the same reaction--maybe Mondays are rough but necessary. I'm in, and I think I'm going to go with TC and to get back to daily recording too.

This is definitely the way I think now. I just want to keep moving in the right direction. It's not going to happen EVERY week - because life happens - but I'd like to keep an overall trend towards my goal.... slow and steady. I also chopped my goal into small goals. So right now I'm only 9 lbs from a short term goal.
We can do this...

Made it through that diet cursed football game without eating off plan. I probably over ate on plan, but it was all low carb items.

Has anyone tried this soup? CAULIFLOWER BISQUE - Linda's Low Carb Menus & Recipes
