Deb where is your son? Back east in Canada or in the states?
I can't imagine not seeing my kids for that long a time. I've been lucky my kids are still fairly close by. My dd is in her final year of undergraduate studies in Va about 6 hrs away. She'll be staying on for grad school but we can still get to see her occasionally. You must miss his tremendously!! Strong lady

I tried the couch to 5K and all I learned was I hate running. My husband and I just got the 10 min beach body workouts so I'm going to start them on Saturday. I'm going to start off with one 10 min rountine a day and work up from there. In the past I always tried to jump right in to diet and exercise and would be miserable and fall off the wagon. My plan this time is to take it slowly and work my way up.

Great! I'm only down 2.2 since the first but I'm thrilled with it.

I'm in. I am starting this AGAIN. I started January 2, a very cliche thing to do, but it's something. I have lost a couple pounds and am doing Induction Atkins for now. Not sure how long I will do that, but I can set a goal. How about 40 by the end of tax season? When I am working all the time I tend to get careless. This will keep me motivated to make some things ahead of time so I don't grab the quick stupid food. The other night, my son joked with me "Mom! Emotions are not a food group!" I love him!

Welcome back Julie looks like alot of us are back in inductionTomorrow will be day 7 for me and weigh in day as well. Hoping that scale moves but I am sure it will be nothing like some of the great losses already in this thread. I gain so quick as well and hate that part , hopefully we both hit our goals this year and you do look great! Deb where on the east coast is your DS? Mine is in NS its hard to be away from them. Cheryl starting out exercising slow is so much better and makes it easier to stick with it. Your poor mom has been through so much , hopefully this will be a better year for her. I love Biggest loser and DH hates it oh well you can guess who wins, call me the remote control Mama Lisa its kinda fun to watch although sometimes it seems a bit much. Not sure how I feel about kids on there, I know I wouldn't want mine on there. I rather encourage them in their homes. You are doing so well with your weight loss. I am a walker and darn good at it but I will never be a runner and never was. I have a sister who is and she amazes me. Misty I am drinking lots of water as well and we are going somewhere warm we leave here on the first of March. Taking the boys to Orlando to Disney for a week then we rented a condo on the beach in Sarasota for the next week to relax. I have been with my older son but the boys are excited since they never have been. They are trying to figure out in their heads how we can go swimming in the winter Cathy I get you on the hating running, I think some people for ment for it and some not so much Starting out slow and not trying to do everything at once is the best thing you can do for yourself . In the end it all comes together and 2.2 is great hope I did that well!!Cryssi way to go thats alot of weight you must be proud!! Way to stick with your plan. Don't get to busy that you don't take time for you!! We all deserve that Bsygub what do we call you I wont remember that for sure. at your son he is so right but often we forget that. Great start with your weightloss and its good to have a plan. You have set a large goal when is the end of tax season for you? You can do it!! Well everyone have a great weekend, hoping to get in lots of snowshoeing this weekend and hoping to have a good weigh in tomorrow

My guess is about ten degrees colder than here. That is ten degrees too much!! When I was younger I loved to ski but hating the cold really put a damper on things. Skiing in 40 degrees means dealing with slushing conditions but 30 degrees means freezing my butt off. I gave up and now I head to the beach every February

I am happy down 5 lbs for the week!!! Now 15 to go by march 1st, I am sure I can do it. Deb he is west not east I have 3 boys, one who is 30 now and flys for Porter Air out of Halifax. The other two are 12 and 13 and growing up to quickly. They are all my life and one day we will all be living in NS and a can't wait for that day to come. Mary much easier to remember, beautiful name, stick with us we can all do this togetherCheryl it will be different and it will be hard to come back to the cold but we are so looking forward to it. We haven't gone south in the winter since the boys came to live with us 12 years ago. Between adoptions and name changes and status changes for the boys and lots of other crap we finally have passports in proper names and all that fun stuff. So we booked it and for the boys its a trip of a lifetime. My mom is down there in March so we can all visit the second week and that makes it even better. I will throw out a rope for you as we fly over Lisa don't worry all of us feel different cold in different ways, its whatever we are use to. Same as I have a hard time with the heat that Cowgirl and Nana find normal Debs teasing because some parts of Canada are actually warm, like where she is and very cold where I am. We don't all live in Igloo's in fact hers would melt mine would be just fine as well as the sled dogs!! Have a great day I am hoping the windchill dies down by this afternoon so we can get out butts out and snowshoeing its beautiful out but cold.
