He was 18 years old

and had a good life

Sorry, Deb, about your dog. That hurts so much. Ours are a yellow lab mix (with what? maybe shepherd) for the grown female and schnauser/terrier (schnerrier?) little girl puppy. And we have tons of cats. People must drive from miles away just to dump their pregnant cats at our place!

Beautiful day, Laura. Hope you can at least go outside on a break or lunchtime and enjoy it!

The months over which mean a little closer to spring, but you sure wouldn't know it today. Really strong winds, gonna have to start straping things down. So sick of going around with neighbors and collect all our stuff.

Deb ss about the dog, hope it wasn't the dog you had awhile back. Going to go and snag some of your wine. My partner at work is really sick so had to do it all my self and really need alot of wine. And I'm gonna do it

or a few L/C Ritas to go with. Placing a bet on the 49'ers to win.

Sorry I havent been around. We had a bad week this week, my 21 year old Nephew was killed in Nova Scotia in a freak accident. His parents live here with us. The weather was awful and it took them 2 days to get home. My DH is there now as well, I stayed back with the boys. Its been pretty much a nightmare. No parent should ever have to bury their child. Anyway you can guess my eating has been off but I am trying to get back on plan today. Made a crusted Quiche Lorriane and its yummy. Might be what I eat all day.

This is a newspaper report about what happened he was a wonderful kid.

People in the Nova Scotia village of Pugwash are heartbroken and mourning the loss of a Good Samaritan who died while trying to help a stranded motorist during stormy weather.

The young man was killed Wednesday afternoon in Port Howe when a fire truck skidded off the road and into an accident scene.

“The highway was completely covered with ice and it was slippery even to walk on by foot,” says Const. Travise Dow of the Cumberland District RCMP.

A fire truck from the Pugwash department was responding to a call when the driver saw something on the road ahead and started to slow down.

“It was sliding on the road and it started to spin on the highway,” says Dow. “At that point, people were parked on the side of the road here and it came into contact with the first vehicle and subsequently, the next vehicle.”

Some people had stopped on the side of the road to help another motorist and the force of the collision with the fire truck drove both vehicles into the ditch.

A 21-year-old Pugwash man was killed and his passenger taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The victim’s name has not been released, but he was well known in the community.

“He was always smiling, he was always happy, he was always talkative,” says resident Tracey Mundle. “He gave back to the community. It is just a dreadful tragedy.”

“That is the tragedy of it all, good deeds sometimes don’t always turn out good,” says resident Nancy McLelan.

Members of the Pugwash Village Fire Department have been meeting with a critical incident stress management team.

“With the icy conditions, I’m not sure if any speed would have prevented them from losing control coming to the scene,” says Dow.

RCMP say they don’t expect to lay charges but are still investigating the incident.

I walk with a friend that is the same height. She was 210 lbs at on point and I would say 115 now. It can be done hugssssssssssss stay with us.
