I was up .6 at my WI but I WILL have a loss next week! I am hoping to add more exercise and that always makes a big difference for me. I was not the only "gainer" at my meeting. The group gained a total of 14 lbs so I don't feel so bad LOL |

Yes, thanks for asking. Getting bloodwork done in January, then on to cardiologist for echocardiogram and other stuff. EKG is always part of my appointment with him.

Wow Babs- you ran two hours!!!
I can jog slowly for a couple of miles but I don't think I can even aspire to running for hours !! The 30 Day Shred is great. Quick. Includes strength training, cardio and ab work. It can be done every day and has three levels of difficulty. I am still on level one. The pushups are the worst! I still do the girly version on my knees. I do feel changes in my body already but I might be stressing one knee too. There are a lot of jumping jacks and jumping around. Hopefully that won't be a problem as I really like it. |

I like the 30 day shred also but I can't do anything past level 1 so far. I don't mind the push ups or any of the ab work (hey, I get to lay on the floor LOL) but can barely get through the jumping jacks I think because of my knees. I might start that up again maybe twice a week and do some other DVDs the rest of the time because I really get bored doing the same stuff every day.

one week in! I have not weighed myself yet as I want to give myself a little longer to shed the Xmas bloat/chub... and weighing really messes with my head
(I know many of you are so chill about the bounces, but my experience so far on JUDDD... 4 months... is that I am more adherent and steady in my efforts when I weigh myself not too often, but focus on measuring my behaviour).... so behaviour-wise:3 good DDS, 1 good MD, 2 cal-counted UDs, and 1 of my 4 allowed non-counted but not UUAAD UDs done. Used the latter yesterday as a dear old friend was visiting and we all went out and had a nice dinner, a bellini (frozen slushy peachy cocktail) and a few tastes of deserts too. ![]() Work is going to get crazy starting on Monday... plus several business dinners... but they are buffet, so I can make good choices, and one is on a MD and one on an UD... I will just need to watch for (a) feeling like all my stress-coping energy is going in to coping with work (and none left for dieting) (b) stress/comfort UUAAD eating. Onward! Cheers to all... and hope all the sickies feel better soon ![]()

Welcome, Debbie.
I'm back up to my Jan start date after yesterdays UD. Drat. The bounces never bothered me before but now that I'm close to my goal and maintenance they are bothering me a lot. I guess I'm impatient. I think I didn't drink enough water yesterday so my bounce up was a little more than my usual. I could be gaining a little muscle too from my workouts. I tend to do that pretty easily. Have a great weekend everyone! |

Alright so down 1.2 lbs with 1 day on plan (finally) ... really trying to lose this holiday weight (12 pounds eeeekk!!)
I did a cardio kickboxing class yesterday and plan to get some exercise in today as well I also do not weigh in after UDs because I am impatient and do not like the bounces at all (they stress me out). Weighing after DD is realllly good mentally As well, it motivates you to have a REALLY good DD because you can't wait to see what the scale says lol! Thats what I have found over the last couple of months , try it out for a while and see if it helps you as well

As much as its bothering me now (like I said it didn't used to bother me at all) I feel like I need to keep weighing daily and see the numbers. In the past, every time I've stopped weighing daily I've gained weight. I can really easily convince myself I can eat what ever and how ever much I want and not gain weight If I don't see the numbers on the scale to prove myself wrong, lol.

Just finished hour #2 of Callanetics 10 in 10. I love it! I do hurt, and feel wobbly, but I can really feel it working!
Not sure I'm going to weigh today. TOM came this morning, and I have the feeling I'm pretty bloated. Keep up the good work guys! |

LoCarbGal! Nice job with the Callanetics! TOM is soon for me too
![]() I hope to get back on the Treadmill today. High incline, speed walking, so I can read as well, otherwise I get too bored. Maybe it will help get rid of some of this congestion! Also, I am back to flexing my stomach muscles during the day, while walking etc, it really makes a difference over time!! |

Back from my fourth day at the gym this week. Total gym calories burned are at over 1600. Today, we met with a personal trainer. He didn't really show us how to use any of the machines, which is what I was looking for, but worked the heck out of us with intervals. I worked hard, but I enjoy the Zumba classes much more.

Congratulations to all of you! That is fantastic that you made it to the gym 4 times this week Dawn.
I am thinking that I will try to add an exercise class to my running and pushups next week. Undecided yet on how often. Maybe I'll try alternating a home video with going to the gym. Thinking about a twice weekly swim class or possibly a morning spin class. So many options, but I must choose between them as I can't make time for all of it. Hope those that are ill feel better soon! |

congrats Carly on new low!
And to all us exercisers I had planned to walk today, but it is cold and windy here, so I held a dance party for one in my basement, and danced like no one was watching ![]() my triumph of the day was sticking to a MD given a bizness dinner which was buffet of a bazillion things, savory and sweet... no starches, no desert, just a little of a few proteins (ugg fish was not worth eating), and lots of veg, a little fresh pineapple for desert. not only is hunger not an emergency , but there will be buffets and deserts forever more, so no need to shovel at any given one ![]() |

My goal is pretty simple too. My total weight loss goal is 125 and I was HOPING to be there by my birthday in March so anything i can lose by Valentine's day will help get me there! My REAL goal is to workout at LEAST 4 days per week. That seems to be one thing that holds me back no matter what I eat. It never fails...I get OFF the couch = I LOSE weight! Sounds so easy
but somehow it never is! |

I have hand weights. I think each is 3 pounds. I don't follow a video, but use to be a certified fitness instructor so I do some bicept curls, some execises that work the lats and tricepts.
I can't do them as frequently as I would like because my right elbow and shoulders (arthritis) acts up. I also have a new malady in my thorasic spine which pains me when I repeatedly lift my arms ![]() Oh well, I want to get into leg toning and will start with sqats, but would like to do some floor execises, but will have to see since getting down isn't easy, but getting up is harder... am I the oldest 36 year old you know!?!

After being a whiner earlier I got down on the floor and did 30 crunches an 10 minutes of leg exercises. DW and I are getting ready to walk downtown and go to the movies and then over a few blocks to a store that I need to go to.
