Kismet, I used to call it the Stupid Bowl, too!! Before my DH retired, the higher ups in his company always had a Super Bowl party. We always attended with food in hand! I'm glad we don't do that anymore. But, so many people love it! There again......to each his own! |

Well, we're coming down the home stretch! I've been keeping up with my workouts and feel like I've been doing well. I'm in that yucky 2nd half of my cycle though when my weight always seems to stall out or even go up a lb or two, so I'm not too excited for this weeks weigh in. I wish there was time before the 14th to have gotten out of that and had another drop, but I'm not thinking it's gonna happen...

I got my rotations messed up with 2 medium days in a row, since I forgot which day I was going out with a friend to a special dinner. I ordered a rich dessert yesterday for the first time in over a year (chocolate ganache cake), and while it was delicious, I was sooo hungry today
that my attempted DD turned into MUD, at best. I'm doing a regular UD tomorrow, hoping to return to normal DD the following day, and staying off the scale for a few days. I've concluded that the only way I can make DDs workable--speaking just for myself--is to stay lowcarb and sugar- and wheat-free, so that's my plan for the forseeable future. Good-bye, cake, maybe I'll see you again in a year or so. |

Weighed in at 147.4 this morning! 2.4 lbs. to go. I'm not sure I'll make it on V Day........but, I'll be so close I can smell it!!!
![]() ![]() I'm wearing my pedometer to see how much I walk. It keeps resetting itself! That's no good! I even bought a new one cause the old one did the same thing!! I must be doing something wrong? ![]() |

I have tried 3 different pedometers and it happened with all of them. We had a contest at work where people were put into a drawing for $$ if they hit 50 and 100 miles. Well, needless to say, I didn't win because i couldn't get mine past 20 miles without it going back to zero!!

Just popping in to see how the challenge Budds are doing. I can't believe it is almost Valentine's Day. I am a bit closer to my goals but not nearly as far as I hoped to be when we began.

Happy Valentine's Day!
![]() You all have rocked this challenge! ![]() I'm a couple pounds shy of my 145 goal weight, but my size 8 jeans are falling off me. For the next couple of months, I won't be doing IF. Instead I'm going to participate in a BFFM challenge - "Burn the Fat, Feed the muscle - Love Your Body Challenge". Which should help me reach my ultimate goal of a firm, fit 135 and be swimsuit ready by summer. What I've learned from doing IF for 8 wks. at a time, is that my body does respond well short term to calorie & carb. cycling to break a weight set point, but in the long term I start to burn muscle instead of fat - being I'm so close to my goal weight and with a healthy BMI for my age. I will check in with all the JBs who are doing the April 5th - fit in a goal size challenge. I'm looking forward to seeing all of your progress now and then! ![]() Ann

I did pretty well, though I didn't make it to the gym 3 times per week, EVERY week. I still went consistently, and I think I've made it a habit now. I couldn't make my Zumba class last night and I actually missed it.

Wow, did his date come up fast! I did get to my weight loss goal for the challenge (i am counting 145.8 as close enough) but went out for our Valentines dinner last night at my favourite restaurant so am sure I am over it this morning. I am dealing with this by not weighing
I did dismally with my push-up goal. I have been going to the gym a few times a week and have done some push-ups there but I need to do them more frequently at home to get rid of the jiggly, flabby arm look by spring. So the challenge continues for me! I plan to continue with the upper body exercise goals and now will work on maintaining my weight in the mid 140's going into spring. I wish everyone great success and I think it is wonderful that we are all striving to move forward. I think we have all won on this challenge regardless of how close we have come to our goals because we are all striving to improve. Thank you to all of you for your warm support and happy Valentines Day! ![]()

Thanks, everyone who participated in this challenge and congratulations on losses of inches and pounds and all the exercise so many accomplished. I was largely stalled during this challenge, but I'm hoping for more progress in the future.

Okay, so my diet fell apart this last week or so and I'm still waiting for tom, but I am happy with what I accomplished in this challenge. I lost some lbs and I stuck to my workout schedule even through the yucky eating I've done. I can see a difference in my body and my endurance.
Congrats to everyone else! |
