I love Zumba!! I can't seem to get to classes nearby me though because they all start too early in the evening for me. I bought the DVDs and would do them but need to get jazz shoes. My work out room is carpeted and with all the quick change moves my sneakers were catching the carpet! I was afraid of hurting a knee or ankle. Hmm - I bet I could order them online. Still a bit sore so restraining from exercise for the moment. Yesterday was an UUAD and the scale showed it today. Drowning myself in tea in the hopes the bloat disappears quickly. Trying to keep that VDay goal in mind every day!!! Stay strong budds!

I did my 2nd class of Zumba yesterday too! It was a different instructor from last Saturday, so I was like "crap, I'm never gonna learn these dances"!!!
It was fun though! |

130.9 today.
These next 10 days will probably be the most important regarding that 2/14 goal of 125lb. I will be slowing down around the 10th of the month according to my random TOM cycle- so it's anyone's guess. I'll keep going! I also get my next pandora charm at 125lb so I can't wait to get there!! |

Did my 2/10 callanetics this morning. Feels sooo good even tho I can't do as many or not nearly as deep - but doing what I can! Over the weekend, just did some walking and some callanetics moves while watching football.
Impressed with everyone deeping up with their goals. |

I've decided to limit my resistence exercise sessions to every other day; apparently, one needs to give muscles a chance to heal, by not doing resistence training every day. I did both the Jane Fonda walking workouts today, instead, since I'd done work with hand weights yesterday.
I hope that everyone is having a pleasant long weekend. |

Single digit temps. outside here, so I'll be keeping warm by working out in my basement today with a 10 lb. kettle bell. Turns out it's not as wimpy a weight as it sounds. My arms haven't been this firm and tone in decades! Hopefully if I keep it up, then this summer I can be comfortable going sleeveless again. Keep on keeping on! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I'll be hitting the gym for Zumba tonight. I haven't been as gung ho since my weight stalled. Seems like if I don't go for a few days, my weight goes back to my low, so I'm doing my best to tell myself it's okay to exercise.

I had my days confused. No Zumba last night so DH and I did treadmill, legs, then precor.
Wouldn't you know it, I didn't have a gain this morning! Complaining burns lots of calories! ![]() |

Did my water aerobics this morning. I told myself before I got in water that if it was a bit chilly, I was going to complain to the management. I'm paying for warm water. Thanks goodness it was warm as I wasn't in the mood to complain!! Had a good workout!!

Decided to try 5:2 starting today. I'm hoping I at least maintain and don't gain like crazy!
Keira has a fundraiser at a pizza place tonight, so I'll be having pizza, then hitting the gym to hopefully burn some of it off! Zumba IS happening tonight. ![]() |

It's all good! I'm planning to move onto doing 5:2 myself when I get within 5 lbs. of my goal. Enjoy the pizza and Zumba too!
Arlene, I'm jealous I don't have a pool membership currently. I used to love doing water aerobics. I'm nice and toasty warm now, after 45 min. of exercise and two bowls of hot turkey soup with cooked carrot & cabbage slaw in it. ![]() Looking forward to my weekly weigh in tomorrow, and maybe reaching 147. ![]() Have a great night's sleep all. ![]() |

I had an unfortunate UUAD yesterday, after working all day Monday, all night Monday, and all day Tuesday.
That spikes my cortisol, makes me crazy hungry and cranky, and robs me of any semblence of self-control (still eating lowcarb but eating way too many nuts, etc.), so I'm sure I've gained a bit. Last night I got caught up on sleep and am having a lovely DD today, thank goodness. I'm eager to go home and do some resistence training workouts. I got some new workout DVDs today, too: Joel Harper's Firming After 50, Miralai Holland's Fabulous Forever, and Jane Fonda's Firm and Burn Aerobic workouts. I don't think that I'll have lost much weight by the end of this challenge, but I will definitely be more flexible and have stronger arm muscles than when I started it, and that's all to the good. ![]() |

Despite 3 pieces of pizza last night, I ended up with 857 calories, then burned 603 in Zumba!
I weighed in at 165.2 this morning and feel much better about calling goal and switching to 5:2. Hoping for the best. Sorry you had a rough day yesterday Svenskamae. Today will be better! ![]() |

Treading mud a bit here on weight loss and haven't been able to get back to exercise. I think maybe by Sunday I'll be back to full speed. Might try some pilates tonight just to move my body at least a bit! I think I've lost about 3 pounds so far in January but the scale has been all over the place. Some days it looks like I lost nothing. Alternating PDs and UD with occasional 2-3 PDs in a row but my body tells me when it needs other nutrients and today I need to fill/fuel up on good foods (that are not potatoes!). Still hoping to make my goal of hitting a new decade by VDay but at this rate would not make it.

Sven, glad your day was better. I just got the Jane Fonda firm and burn - do you like it. I haven't tried it yet, but it's on my list.
Dawn, Carly -- you two are doing so well. And Carly, love your new avi - you are so pretty! Quote:
I just came in from shoveling snow so got my 30 + minutes in. Only about three inches - very light, but it is sooooo cold, 14F that I knew it wouldn't melt on its own. I worry that is I don't do, something will happen, emergency type and I won't be able to get out. I'm a worrier...!

You guys are all doing so well! I have fallen off my Callanetics momentum. I still think I'll get the 10 hours in by Valentine's Day though. I've been busy getting ready for out of town company. You know the bit, cleaning, organizing, realizing that about 10 more things need to be done than I originally thought. Why do I always find more projects to do when I'm cleaning???
So I've been active for sure, just not what I had planned. It's fine. I'm still here, still plugging along trying to get my losses kick started again, and will be back to the Callanetics soon!
