lol, Peskie. never saw that coming.

I'm taking a crack at my first sourdough bread from my starter. its on its first rise. then it goes in the fridge until tomorrow for the next phase, then a 3rd rise after that. I'll take it out before I go to work, probably and bake it in the afternoon or early evening. I sure hope it works. it was a lot of work to kneed it. the bread I usually make is a yummy white bread that I don't have to kneed so I'm not used to that, lol.

I got the bread in the fridge to proof till tomorrow. I had to kneed most of it by hand instead of using my kitchen aid. apparently mine isn't powerful enough for it because it was getting HOT. I was afraid I'd burn out the motor. that would be bad timing right before Christmas baking, huh? I hope this turns out REALLY REALLY good after having to work out to kneed it, lol.

going to go get dishes put away and finish cleaning up the bread mess then the hard part is done except the waiting .

I should wrap some gifts, blah. anyone want to come do it with me? I'm not good at it and don't really enjoy it. its just a chore although I like when its done.

I don't "enjoy" it, but don't mind it. I'd do it for you if I was there. I do mine as I go.

problem is there was no "as we go" this year, really. and little time between shopping to get them done. we had ONE afternoon. a few hours before dh had to get ready for work that night that we shopped in town and then a few days later we left as soon as I got off work and went to Portland. Its not like they have been sitting around here waiting for weeks or anything.

we do still have a few things to buy but at least we got most done. I got a few of them wrapped tonight but my back was starting to hurt so I stopped for the night. will try and do some more tomorrow.

Taking recon this morning to get fixed. Of course my first day off and I had to get up and I'm still sick though my fever is gone at least.

i got I got 5 or 6 done last night then quit. dh works graveyard tonight and tomorrow then starts vacation. if nothing else I'll ask him to help me and we can do it together. (we used to do most of it together and it gradually changed to me doing most and/or dd23 doing it when she gets bored. she's not too bored this year though so hasn't asked about wrapping, lol.

I want to be on maternity leave with you and peskie..but without the maternity part

Lol. You only have a few more days until Christmas break though right?

Well I do feel better today. My head isn't so bad but my chest/cough are much worse. Sigh...

Took recon to the vet and then me and Kyle went to breakfast. We are just hanging out today. Got some cleaning done and relaxing now. It's nice and quiet here

Couple more days stews.

Morning

The baby was up last night for 3 hours and there was no way I was sleeping so I actually started wrapping. Kyle is goi to daycare in about an hour and I have to go get a shot and then run to the store, then I plan on just getting it done. I also plan on a nice nap

Did someone say nap????

I am going home and walking Daisy (nice and LONG walk) then doing some Wii Fit or Dance, then heading to drama practice. After DBF might be coming over for a bit, not sure. I have to do some stuff at home!

Almost have my Christmas stuff all done! I have only a few more presents to buy. The ones I bought for people out of town I had directly shipping to them this year, not many but it sure did help!

Okay so planning a long (2 week) beach trip in June (the middle I think) to Siesta Key, Florida! Needless to say I can't wait but it also gives me motivation to tone this flabby body up! Gotta get movin. My plan is to get back to running and also add in some yoga and weights (light ones), do some Wii Fit again and some other stuff, just vary it and also maintain my eating like I have been even during Christmas.

Are you guys staying on plan for Christmas and New Years pretty much?

I am about 4 pounds up from my siggy. DO NOT LIKE IT. BUT that's NOT really watching my food much at all in the last few weeks and not regular exercise.

And you have an excuse Jackie!

Being pregnant isn't an excuse to eat junk though. I try to eat lots of fruits and veggies and I've been eating Greek yogurt for breakfast every day. But if I want someone I eat it

I'm extremely naseous today. Haven't been able to eat barely anything and have been in the bathroom most of the day. Hearing this is my body getting ready for labor. I dunno. It's miserable!

I haven't done so great lately either. still not eating a ton, just not the best choices so i guess it could be worse. I could be eating a ton of bad choices, lol.

watching a little tv then going to go to bed and read and hope for a good night's sleep tonight. I took a shower tonight so I don't have to in the morning. if I dont' sleep good I can relax in bed longer and just get up and get ready that way and not have to blow my hair dry.

Jackie, I sure hope you are feeling better. *hugs*.

work, then I'm coming home and a past co worker is coming by when she gets off work at 2:30 to get some sourdough starter. after that dh and I are going to try and get the last of the gifts we need. may still have some little stuff but the main things will be done. I can't really remember what I have and don't have for stockings and don't want to dig through and figure it out till the rest is done and mostly wrapped. a lot is done but still have dd24's and a few of dd22's (she showed up in the middle of dd24 wrapping for me the other night, lol.

dh also said he wants to take me out to lunch (well, late lunch, early dinner, whatever you want to call it when you end up eating in the afternoon, lol).

only 2 more wake ups till Christmas break! I am very very ready. I don't quite know what to expect today. one of my students who is a challenge but has handled things pretty well has been pushing it on his way out the door at the end of the day. he goes all day doing pretty well, no checks and then on his way out will wave or sign to the other class (they are NOT supposed to look or communicate with each other). he knows he can do that because if I give him a check it doesn't affect him (one check doesn't affect them out in the pod, but 2 does). so yesterday when he did it AGAIN, I told him he has a check and next time I'm giving him 2 checks for it. of course, his attitude was "I don't care" as he left but he WILL care if it happens. ugh! also, had some issues in the school district yesterday. one person (a frequent student of ours) threated on fb to take a AK47 to school and shoot everyone in site then himself. I don't know if he'll be at the hospital (yesterday afternoon we got an email saying supposedly that was where he was) or if he'll be back with us at this point). also saw on fb another student in a school district here got arrested for something similar. don't know if that one is rumor or if they acturally are talking about the same student.

anyway, could be an intersting day if we have a bunch of new kids.

oh and for the record, I honestly think MOST the time with threats like that they have no intention of following through. I think the people that actually are going to do something don't announce it to the place they are going to do it at. there may be "chatter" based on behavior or sharing with someone close but I think those that actually attack some place don't warn them ahead of time. but...you still don't want to take chances.

sounds like quite a few people are keeping their kids out of school the rest of the week to be safe with the threats and the talk of the world ending Fri they just don't know what people are going to do out there.

poor DP! I hope it goes away fast.

I have what feels like the beginning of a cold again. hope it goes away as fast as the last one. the last one never really progressed like they usually do. going to guzzle airborne again, it looks like. it IS that time of year.

I am sort of walking around wondering what to do next. Does that make sense? Of course with ADD that's the story of my life. I am totally out of any kind of routine and so it drives me crazy. I am going to make a list NOW and try to do things one by one. That's the only way I can get ANYTHING done! After tomorrow I am off work until next Thursday, work 2 days and then off until the NEXT Thursday
