I tried a new prescription medicine last night.
This has been the worst 24 hours I've had in a long time!

Needless to say I won't be taking it again tonight!

So today hasn't been very productive at all!

Wow MK... I hate prescription problems!!!

It was a really good cake. I guess I was surprised.

DD25 had to judge a dance competition yesterday, so couldn't join us for dinner. She and DSIL are coming over to watch the game (the guys are) so we can have another little bday celebration for DDalmost23. DDs and I are going to TJ.....

Don't want to use the name here cuz of security reasons and his job, but "someone I know" is on Lexapro and it works good for him, but another person I know, the "K-kid" was on it after the ex arrested and it didnt work for her at all. It must be different for each person. I hope ur feeling better, MK

Making mom a scarf like Kim's, she wants one so bad and has trouble seeing now to do it herself. Trying to get it done for Christmas Eve. I also would love to get Kim's burnt orange one done but I think I'm pressing my luck on that!

It took about 24 hours to get out of my system.

Worked 12 plus yesterday. Off to do 8 today.

DH and I going to NYC the Saturday and Sunday before Christmas. Wish we could use Marriott points for the room as it is expensive but we will get a lot of points. On's fiancé has appointment at Kleinfelds and asked me to go. They are taking train I think. DH and I driving. Train would be $500 for two of us. Room less and we get two days instead of going up and back in one.

Becca has appt with designer of dress he wants to order. Remember he already bought one dress.

DH and I will shop and eat out and do a lot of walking.

I will look for a mother of the groom dress too.

Need to research gluten free options in NY.

MK, sorry about the medication making you feel bad. In our family Zoloft seems to work well for those that need it. I used to take it but stopped because I was too lazy to see the psychiatrist to get it refilled. I feel good without but at the time I started it I did really need it. At times I think I should be on it again. I don't want to see the psychiatrist though.

Cindy, the cake looked beautiful.

Oh and DH at the White House today for a fiscal cliff summit he was invited to. I hope they find an answer soon. Next Tuesday I hope to get a picture with the Obama's.

DH made 10 pies yesterday. 6-8 more needed by Christmas. We will be away this weekend. Going to Rehoboth Friday to run a half marathon Saturday. Tons of friends will be there. I can't wait.

I am very busy lately. I need some Isabella time too. DH went yesterday when I was at work. Jealous!!!!

Been super busy...sorry I haven't checked in!

Got my package today! I'm dying to open it! I haven't sent mine out yet! Bad shortie, I know! And I apologize! It's going out tomorrow, come hell or high water! I promise!

Scampering around to get the house into shape. Put up the tree and decorated it yesterday. Need to do laundry and vacuum today. Plus about twenty million other things, including cub scouts tonight!

Cindy, I went to the PO this morning before the line had a chance to get too long. They told me you would have your package by Wednesday. There are 3 separate things wrapped inside, one of them is small (and its the best one, imho) so don't throw it away on accident.
The cake pics on FB were really pretty. I was wondering about how you make a cake without eggs though.

Becky, I got my package. Can't wait to open!

Debbie, I'm sure the party at the white house will be loads of fun.
DH and I went to NYC in January every year for several years. It is so much fun to see all of the decorations for the holidays. There is a meeting he was able to attend for CE credits and it was always just after new year's so it was a teeny bit more affordable as far as hotels etc. (we haven't been in almost 10 years, but it was always fun!)

So I cancelled one of my meetings - well it's still going on, but I bowed out.
It's 70 in December and I'm going for a walk!

They'll be fine without me, right?

Out with a GF tonight - we're having about 10 mom's make Final's boxes tomorrow at a friend's house - and I need to pick up 20 of something for my contribution to the box! And something to snack on for the moms. Luckily I already have the wine! :D

I had a house full of extra teenage boys most of the weekend. They came around dinner time Friday night and didn't leave until I sent them on their way at dinner time Saturday night. They were so funny, DS15 is a freshmen, the other boys that were here are all sophomores. We ordered a giant pizza, I bought root beer, chips, ice cream, and made cookies for them (that was just Friday) Besides eating junk food they spent most of their time playing heroscape (its a board game based on the old D&D games) and watching disney movies. There were online games, xbox, and nintendo in there too of course...
DS15 made them clean up after themselves before they left. I was shocked when I heard the vacuum cleaner running. They actually picked up their mess, made their beds, and (sorta) vacuumed up their crumbs on the floor.

MK, of course they'll be fine without you. But I'm sure you'll be missed.
The finals boxes are a great idea!
My mom and grandma are sending home made candy and snacks to DS19 this week.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, we got DS19's tickets home for Christmas all booked. :D I'm ready to have him home for a while! (and a house full of boys from 18-22 instead of 15-16 although they'll probably do the same thing that DS15's friends do and DS19's friends eat more, but that's okay!)

3 days... I'm opening mine at 12:01 a.m. On dec 6 and not 12:02 like last year. I was slacking last year!!!!!

I have two parties next week. White House Tuesday and fundraiser for Hebrew Home Thursday. All rich big givers. Som famous singer performing. Not pop music so can't remember who. It is at Marriott.

They used to have Starlight Ball and we went when DH worked there or was the District Manager. Now it is Starlight Lounge and not in DC. It is easier and not black tie anymore.

Better drive home and will touch base tomorrow.

Who ever has me I am not worried about my gift. I do leave Friday-Sunday.
