It is already the 5th of December and I've not been on the scale since Nov 31--yikes. So I'm sure there is a gain waiting for me. I had a virus in my comoputer so I couldn't use it for many days--but that was no excuse for the overeating, non weighing nor not doing exercise. It seems if one small area of my life falls apart, I fall apart everywhere.
So my plan is to join you here (thanks for the new thread) and want to lose 10 lbs this month. I will also be in the 170's by then. I did make the November goal of a 10 lbs loss, so it is doable for me. I'll record my weight here tomorrow morning.

I spent the night at my boyfriends house so no weigh in. I printed out a list of foods that are acceptable on Atkins to help him understand since he does most of the cooking. (he's always been very thin)
Thanks you for asking but moving is something I am doing for my kids and myself. He will be helping us move but I am not at that point to have someone living with me yet. I am sure he will be over most of the time Have a great day ladies!! |

Hi everyone...Can I join in too?
It's definitely going to be tough sledding this month. I'm hosting both Christmas Eve and Day dinners and have out-of-town relatives staying for a few days so it'll be a week of food, food, food! My goal is to get into the mid-190's by Christmas and then try my best to maintain through New Year's, so I can happily end the year in Onederland for the first time in the past 10 years! This is my 3rd serious endeavor doing Atkins and I'm striving to make it my permanent WOE, since I feel so great on plan. Well, here I go.... Daily weigh-in: 12/01...199.8 12/02...200.6 12/03...201.6 LC treat baking (and eating )12/04...201.6 12/05...201.4 12/06...201.0 12/07...200.0 |

Welcome krazy cat! The more the merrier! I know what you mean about the holidays. I leave for Christmas in Scotland on the 21st and will be staying in a very lovely hotel and fed included meals three times a day (plus afternoon tea). It will be a challenge.
Best of luck with your goal! |

so tough
It is still so tough. Party after party. It is so hard to skip the sweets. I am still hanging in at 206, hope to see it break soon! Do you post all of your food/meals each day? I am wondering because those who are posting eat so little. I can't live on tiny meals or skipping meals.
I have done well today, very low carb and sugar. Thanks everyone for the inspiration. ![]() |

I hear you on the sweets. I was picking up some chocolates to finsih up some presents, and I got a wiff of that milk chocolate smell and my brain drooled I do believe. Here is the thing though, once you've had that sugar out of your body long enough those sweets just don't taste so good anymore. I think it's our memory of the food that tells us it will still taste good. ![]() Skipping the gym tonight. I'm off the next two days so I can go hard and go to the gym earlier in the day. 3am is creepy sometimes. Have a great weekend ladies ![]() ![]() |

Good morning all! Down another 1.5 pounds!
Pam, you know a gin or vodka and diet tonic is many fewer carbs than wine, if you decide to have a drink. I always go for a dry martini when I indulge. Just a thought... krazy cat, I hit onederland at the end of September and it was a marvelous feeling. JMPanky, I post my meals everyday, as it helps me see correlations between what I am eating and the weight loss. One thing I have definitely noticed is that when I skip lunch (happening a lot lately) or go without enough fat, my loss rate slows down. My job has been crazy lately and on top of that I am fitting in a chiropractor appointment 3 days a week at noon, so I've had a hard time making sure I always eat lunch. Not good. Menu (previous day) B: Coffee egg cream L: Chicken salad D: hamburger patty and an artichoke with mayo S: Whipped hwc with cocoa powder and sf vanilla syrup Daily weigh-in: Saturday, Dec 1 = 182 Sunday, Dec 2 = broken scale so can't weigh Monday, Dec 3 = traveling Tuesday, Dec 4 = traveling Wednesday, Dec 5 = 184 Thursday, Dec 6 = 183.5 Friday, Dec 7 = 183.5 Saturday, Dec 8 = 181.5 Sunday, Dec 9 = 180 (Little pep-talk to myself) My weight loss has really varied month to month since I started recording it here in these challenges. I got serious and started induction in mid-July but did not have the heart to weigh myself until the 28th of that month. So I am guessing my highest weight was well above above the 213 I have in my stats. I find that looking at the big picture is very reassuring, especially when I hit stalls, as I did in October and November. Here's how it looks for me since July 28th of this year: 213 on July 28 211 on Aug 1 (down 2 from July) 204 Sept 1 (down 8 from Aug) 198 Oct 1 (down 6 from Sept) 188 Nov (down 10 from Oct) 183 Dec 1 (down 5 from Nov) So I have lost 31 recorded pounds, and I'm pretty sure we can add at least 5 more from that period in July when I was afraid to get on the scale. I'll just call it 35 pounds since mid-July. Not bad for a little over 4 months! |

So I put a few things into ****** and my fat is high, but so is my protein. I'm thinking about trying a fat bomb or two to see it that helps push things a long. It's only the first week and I can comfortably back into my jeans so i'm just happy for that.
I think I over did it on cream cheese though. I made those cream cheese things (blanking on the name) off the recipe board and oh my. Bought almond butter and coconut oil at trader joes today. B-coffee with cream D- 3 eggs scrambled in CO S- Leftover pork (bout four slices off a small loin) S- made the cream cheese muffins or whatever, ate like 5 of them...plus snacked on some cheese and tried some almond butter. Feels like I blew it with the last part of my night. ( though I know I didn't. )When I get home from work and gym at 4-5am I feel like a snack..even if i'm not really hungry ![]() Have a great day ladies and keep up the great work |
