Another possibility is the Perfect Health Diet, which has a very active thread under other plans. It does allow some "safe starches" like potatoes and rice, and has a focus on health, with weight loss secondary.

Lindsay, is the most annoying thing for you not seeing the scale move or sticking with the limitations of induction? Which tweaks might make sense for you to try might depend on which of those two things is most important to you. For me, the most annoying thing is not seeing the scale move--so I'm considering a trying a dairy-free month and a few-day potato fast in March.

I think I'm most annoyed with feeling stuck. Feeling like I'm doing so much and have changed so much and yes, the scale won't budge. I like the idea of safe starches, because I need to be able to do this healthy eating forever.

But, yes...this scale this is bugging me out! My mom, who I consider very healthy, hit a plateau in the 170's and it is impossible for her to get out of it. She is one inch taller than me, so I don't get why I can't get out of the 180's?

Maybe I should think about lower fat, lower carb, and calories....it just gets so daunting sometimes! Maybe WW is the way.

aghhhhhh

I'm ready for our next challenge, very ready, new challenge, new goals. Let's do this!

I'm open to all of your suggestions and love your support. Thank you Thank you Thank you.

LOVE----Lindsay

Lindsay, have you checked the NK thread out? I know that there are people on there who couldn't lose anymore weight until they lowered their protein and upped their fat. Just another suggestion

I am ready for the new challenge as well. I don't think I'm going to hit my goal, but I am ok with that. I am feeling wonderful and my clothes are fitting well. The scale is only a number, not who I am.

Sven, thanks for the suggestions for my upcoming travels. We will be staying the bulk of the trip with family so that shouldn't be too hard. I am going to try and stay on track because I feel better when I do. I will definitely take some LC treats along with me. It's the travel time and two nights in a hotel that I dread most. I will be doing most of the cooking during my stay with the family.

Two more days ladies..

Yes, I'm going to be doing some rethinking and evaluating. I did a lot of cardio today and skipped the weights, maybe I need to get my cardio on and skip weights for a little while. Trying not to get overwhelmed right now.

Excited about our new challenge, please let me know when it switches over!

And yes, I am not a number.

Lindsay

I have to share with ya'll(yes I am a southern girl, and yes, ya'll is a word down here in the south.) LOL!
I bought a pair of jeans on Friday at a thrift store. They were too small but the price was too good to pass up. I tried them on today just for the heck of it, and I not only buttoned them, I zipped them up!!! They are still too tight to wear comfortably, but I am hoping that within a month I will be wearing them. I couldn't even get them buttoned on Friday. My weight has not changed one bit, but my body sure is!! I never imagined how exercising could change my body so drastically.

YAY CFINE! That is grrrrrrrrreat!

I bought a pair of old navy khakis...doing the same thing with them. They are my goal pants right now. They go on, zipper and button, but I'm not breathing really well. LOL

Cheers to fitting into smaller pants!

Well, today is Valentine's Day and while I did drop 12 pounds since I joined this challenge on 11/26, I fell short of my 20 pound goal. I've hit a plateau and I'm patiently (ok, impatiently) waiting for the whoosh. Thanks for letting me join you all for this one.

WTG MrsS. That's 12 pounds you don't have to carry around anymore

I weighed in at 230.1 this morning. My goal was 225. Oh well, no big deal. You ladies ROCK!! I can't wait to start our new challenge tomorrow.

Lindsay, Macc, Sven, Dianda, Adoug4ho, how did you ladies do today? Did you meet your goals?

These were my goals I set three months ago:
1. Keep a daily journal of food intake and exercise accomplished
2. Workout 4 times each week
3. Eat 3 healthy low carb meals; minimal snacking
4. Wear clothes that fit and flatter
5. Reach the 70's

Let's see.

1. I kept a journal of my exercise, not so much my food.
2. I did work out 4 times a week
3. I ate three meals the best of my ability to be low carb, did stick to little to no snacking
4. I wore better clothes
5. I lost one pound-----I DIDN'T REACH THE 70'S.

Overall proud of myself, so, moving onward...to the next challenge!

Hey ladies! Happy Valentine's Day! I joined in 2013 and my goal was to get to 200, or really Onderland, by VDay. I was at 209 this am. Had some stalls-appears to be exercised related, but I'm on it. I think... Inches are falling though!

WTG everybody. I think it's fun to make a goal even if I don't make it. It motivates me to stick to my plan. I need to sit down and really think about my new goals for our new challenge.

Hi, everyone. Well, I seem to be right back to the low 180s, probably because work has been difficult lately, making me put in a bunch of near all-nighters with minimal sleep, which spikes my cortisol and my hunger, so I eat too much, even though it's all lowcarb. I'm hoping things will get easier at my job soon, though.

I'll start up a "Marvelous by Memorial Day" thread tomorrow--unless one of you gets to it first, which would be fine also. Congratulations to those of us who lost inches and pounds and consolation to those of us who are feeling stuck and frustrated. Either way, it's great to be getting support from each other, and every challenge is a new opportunity to re-evaluate our approach. I look forward to seeing you all at the "Marvelous by Memorial Day" thread, and if you haven't figured out what your goals are yet, no problem--the challenge can be a supportive place to figure those out and get feedback, too.

Thanks Sven! Need to ponder what my Mem Day goal should be. I think I need some scale and non scale goals. It seems so far away. I'm ready to get this done
