196.2 this morning.

B- black coffee

CJMO 11-01-2012 06:32 AM

Here !!

lizzybme 11-01-2012 06:45 AM

I was thinking that we could keep the same thread for the next 2 months to finish out the year. I doubt that we will go over the page limit...:hyst:

CJMO 11-01-2012 06:54 AM

Yeah sounds good. New year new start.

misty1028 11-01-2012 07:02 AM

I'm here. 127.9 this morning. Since I've finally found a comfortable plan that's working for me, I've lost pretty fast. So my goal for the next 2 months will be to get to 125 and hold. Not gain this year over the holiday, I hope.:aprayer:

Lizzy, love the new pic of Asher in his costume. Wow he's growing so fast and he's so cute.

iakaren 11-01-2012 08:12 AM

I am here too. Down to 187 this morning. I have found a plan that is slow, but I can stick with it. Want to be below 180 by year end. Not earth-shattering, but if I can get there and hold it, that would be a start. Looked back on another thread, and I was 183.5 at the end of 2011. But if I am honest with myself, I was back up over 190 for some of 2012, so just so I don't get there again.........

Got pictures back from the horse show,:o:o and I ju st need to look at those every time I want to eat something I shouldn't:sick::cry:....:hyst:

Now THAT is motivation.

Loved the pictures of Asher!!! DH poured concrete last night for corn crib and shop, so Caleb and I stayed in the house......no trick or treating for him. And his mom got to help with 'crete. But it is done, and off DH priority list. Now to put the crib back on, anchor it down, and start harvesting corn.......!!!!!!!!! It is mother-nature dry enough now, no drying required.

lizzybme 11-01-2012 08:27 AM

Oh I hear ya! Pics that are taken of you are the best motivation around! and the ones that you are not posing for, sucking in standing up straight ect... oh boy!:hyst::cry::mad:

Before....
https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphot..._7493497_n.jpg
after...
I need to get back to this.

misty1028 11-01-2012 12:28 PM

Karen glad you found a plan that works, it doesn't matter how slow it is. I tryed to lose on Atkins like I did the 1st time all year and nothing. Then I gave SB a try. Someone told me that as we age our metabalism changes so to try something different. I guess I needed more fruits, grains and added vegis. And it working. What is is corn Crib?? I take it's something to do with corn:dunno:

Lizzy you'll do it again. And this time you don't have a much to lose as the first. I do the same thing I have pic on my desk for a reminder.

Cheryl:hiya:

CJMO 11-01-2012 03:07 PM

Wow Lizzie you have come so far. I sometimes forget. You're staying pretty stable thru all the stress. Good for you!

Karen how is that GS ? Haven't heard in awhile. How's the corn crib? Do you have to wait a few days? Are you still harvesting corn?

Misty what did Sandy do in your area? Are you going to post a picture of Rocco in his costume? How's Dad?

misty1028 11-01-2012 04:13 PM

Cheryl Dad got moved to a new rehab last night and is doing good. I'm so happy. But today is 1 year since my DS past away and it's hard. Ty all for the support that you all gave me when I needed it.

CJMO 11-01-2012 04:29 PM

Glad you are getting thru it ok. My brother killed years ago, and still remember it once in awhile.

Well did DH make it ok ? That hour made today seem so long!

We had a nice quiet weekend. Did a little work at the lake. Getting some rest for the big push in retail until Black Friday. Then the push to Christmas. It is really going to be hectic. We have cooled off. I hate to see it but it is Nov.

Anybody brave the stores on Black Friday? I don't.

DH made it back from the tow OK, but said he had to stop for a pop. Was getting tired.

The deals have to be REALLY good to go out on Black Friday. I go about every other year........but I have lots of Xmas already bought, so don't know about this year yet. Wait and see ads.:stars:

And scale was 186.5 again this morning-----4 days there:D:D

CJMO 11-05-2012 06:46 AM

Glad he made it home ok. DH has had to pull over a few times and take a nap he has gotten so sleepy.

I'm almost done with Christmas shopping too. I don't have a lot of people to buy for since over half my relatives are Jehovah's Witness or Scrooge. My brother was here from CO so I shopped and sent their presents home with them.

I think I will get some housework done today and my office work, schedule done for the week.

What plan are you using now? I'm going back to induction for now and looking into JUDDD.

I am on CAD--Carb Addict Diet. It is going slowly, but I have absolutely no trouble staying on "plan". I have limited myself to 1 coffee or pop each day, and the scale is moving down slowly, even when I eat lots of salt or do a restaurant for a night. I did CAD once before, and then DH had back surgery, and I had to finish putting all crops in, mow all the hay, run towtruck for a month and try and keep accounting business up to speed. Got to where I just didn't care about what I ate.......it was the least of my worries.
And then I floundered around trying half of one plan with half of another plan, and it didn't work at all. So Sept I chose the one most likely to be maintainable, and that is what I am on. I did Atkins for over 1 year, and it worked, but I just couldn't stick with it long-term. Too many restaurants and eating at my Mom's house. And DH didn't like or support it, either. Now, he doesn't even know I am eating different:p

misty1028 11-05-2012 07:39 AM

Yikes is it cold out, glad I only have to go out for Rocco. Got to work tomorrow, so I'll hit the gym then. Takes awhile for this body to get used to the cold.

Karen glad DH is home. Wow your already xmas shopping, I haven't even thought about it yet. I do alot of online shopping because all the good stores that everyone likes are so far away.WTG on the scale.

Cheryl not sure if I brave Black Friday this year. Went with DIL last year and didn't really find anything I wanted. Guess it's really worth it if it's big ticket items. Our lake is really down low now and they won't raise it until spring.

Lizzy how you doing?

lizzybme 11-05-2012 07:48 AM

Good morning!
195.4 this morning.
Cooler here too. Got our new mattress this weekend put in. Hubby had another contest at work sell x# of mattresses and win one! He got one last year, and one this year. They are Sealy memory foam. The big expensive sets. Retail about 3000$....for King. This was the only way we were ever going to get one.
So dd15 got our from last year, we got the new one and my mom got dd15 old set. Mom's set was old and hard as a rock, dd15 was a big marshmellow. Thats what we called it.:hyst: My mom brought my brother12 and 3 of his friends to help move, well they moved I directed, the beds around.
Hubby went back to work on thursday. He is doing ok. One good thing about him working at a furniture store he gets tired, he has plenty of spots to sit down and rest!

misty1028 11-05-2012 07:52 AM

Karen I agree with you, I had to finally find a plan that's maintainable and works. I'm doing SB and love it. It took me awhile to get the hang of it because I really didn't find the book explained enough especially because I did Atkins for so long. But I love having my fruit and dairy and whole grains. I started this is Sept too.

Cheryl are you going back to Atkins induction. I've been reading up on Judd, don't think I could stick to the DD. And I think it would be too hard with it only being me and DH eating. I have to cook different for him and I know I'd want it:yummy:

lizzybme 11-05-2012 08:07 AM

with me I have to control my overeating.
I am a complusive overeater. Even being strict eating too much will keep me at a stand still.

CJMO 11-05-2012 09:03 AM

I have the SB book. But if I remember it was pretty low fat. Low fat increases my pain :stars: I did CAD for many years, but I didn't need to lose when I did it. And I am impatient to get it off.

I usually just fix a meat and veg for dinner and fix DH some kind of bread

Misty how's your Dad doing in the new rehab?

DD on JUDDD has me worried too

misty1028 11-05-2012 11:30 AM

Lizzy new mattress, nice. Mine is so old, I just keep flipping it. They are so expensive. So glad to hear your DH is feeling better and back to work. WTG on new numbers on the scale.

Cheryl Dad is doing so good at the new rehab center. And the whole staff is so nice. Now you got me thinking about the low fat on SB. The book isn't that informative like the Atkins book.

Lucky you on the mattress!!! Ours is getting ancient, but I hate shelling out that kind of money when I still can sleep on what I got. (Cheapskate, I know)

Good about DH. I was wondering how he was getting along. Keep us updated.

I would watch that. I seem to run on fats. If I keep them low for a few days, I run out of gas---especially mental. We learned our family runs on protein and fats when kids ran cross country. We had to feed ours different than the "recommended" way or they didn't get good times. Funny how we learn things, if we just pay attention to little things.:high5:

CJMO 11-05-2012 06:53 PM

Wow Lizzie. Great new mattress and DH well enough to go back to work! on plenty of places to sit if he gets tired.

Karen I am a fat burner too. And I have more than my share to burn off:annoyed::hyst:

Misty whatever you doing SB wise it is working. Don't mess with it !! If you aren't eating low fat how are you eating? Sample menus please :D
I'm so glad your Dad is doing better:console:

lizzybme 11-06-2012 05:46 AM

ate nuts yesterday...... salt....:annoyed: swollen face this am. Going to have to push water.
DD20 today! Went to see her yesterday. Gave her a sweater and some tom knock off's...
https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphot...66624419_n.jpg
We took her a couple of cupcakes.

iakaren 11-06-2012 06:12 AM

Lizzie----must have been the weather. I did too much salt yesterday too. Not too bad, but water for me today, also.

CJMO 11-06-2012 06:45 AM

Cute shoes all blunted out.

I didn't do salt yesterday. :) but I did start Atkins induction we will see how I feel.
