I went astray!! Ya know it does not take much for me to blow up my Low carb...one cheat and I am done!!! I could I was down to 177!!!

I want to just QUIT but I can't ..nothing else works for me like Atkins..so see ya'll tomorrow.

I am not looking forward to Thanksgiving..........
It's just water weight You'll be back to 177 in a flash!

Slow and steady wins the race. I always feel like when I start dieting, I need to be at my goal weight as soon as possible. This is a WOE though. It's a forever thing for many people (me included). It's not important if you hit 150 or not right now. You are eating healthy, lifting weights (good for you! I was a weightlifter in high school), and doing everying right. A piece of cake won't kill you either. Just a bump in the road.

much appreciated snowdancer. Slow and steady is a phrase I seriously need to implement as I suffered a minor neck injury last night. I shouldn't have been lifting in the first place as my neck was not even 100%. Had I reminded myself that slow and steady wins it...I might have a) not lifted or b) at the very least eased back into things.

In any event, I'm a bit disappointed in myself but on the bright side, I'm down to 158. =D

I had a couple of beers on TDay and some stuffing and sun chips. Not too bad. Don't think I will weigh myself for a week or two though. Oh well. I still have a month to hit my goal of 180. Have a good weekend ladies

Getting through left-overs etc. I made ham balls today and I have a turkey vegetable soup in the crockpot for tonight. Pie and sweet potatoes are gone.

The local grocery store has ham loaf meat, I am not sure what is in it. I suspect a combination of ground ham, pork and beef maybe? The recipe itself calls for 2 lbs of meat, 2 eggs, 1/2 c milk (I used 1/4 c half and half and 1/4 cup water) and 1 c crushed graham crackers ( subbed a combo of flax meal, oat and wheat bran). Bake for 1 - 1 1/2 hours at 350.

They sound really good. Don't think they have any ham loaf at our grocery stores though. I'm working on the last of the turkey, wrapped up in romaine leaves with caesar drizzled on top.

Not going to weigh till Friday morning. I'm mentally imagining 183 on my scale.

Bad day, got hit by a dumbass backing up at a stopsign and he didn't own vehicle, and it wasn't insured. When I started to call cops, he jumped in truck and ran. I got his plates and description though, and since he told me he was on the way to the airport (80 miles down highway), the cops got him right away. Good news was they arrested the stupid kid on a felony warrant, bad news, $2500 damage to car. Hoping the actual owner of the car has coverage that will pay for damage. Not betting on it though. Otherwise I have to go through DA's office to get restitutuion when stupid kid is sentanced. It could take forever. Grrrr. Drinking a bloody mary.

It's better to eat a fat free weight watchers brownie than a piece of cheese. Just remember that!

Hi everyone!

I'm new and just read the comments on this thread and this is where I need to be! I was diagnosed with Type II diabetes at the beginning of Sept. and scared me to death. I don't know exactly what "plan" I'm following, but I'm scared to put a carb in my mouth! Seems to be working weight-wise, but boy, do I miss my carbs!

Hi Annie! Welcome to our thread. I don't know much about diabetes, but I do know that there are people who are able to control type II with a LC diet. It might take a couple of weeks, but you will get over the desire to eat carbs. That's the best part of this diet. You don't feel like your missing out.


185 this morning. I ate my weight in crock pot ham yesterday. If you haven't tried crock pot hame before, you have to make it some time. I cut big chunks of the cheap shank portion off and put in with half a stick of butter, and broth if you have some. I put some pepper in, and sometimes and onion is nice for flavoring. Put it on high all day, and dig in at dinnertime.

Time to get serious. My daughter just informed me for the 3rd time it's only 23 days till Christmas, which means I have 23 days to lose 5 more pounds. Gonna do this!!
