Hey,
Hope everyone did well over the recent holiday. I did my official weigh-in today and came in at 243.4. My goal for this month is to lose 5lbs since my weight loss journey tends to be slow due to my thyroid problems. I'm also going to try to weight myself weekly instead of everyday, it really is a lot mentally when nothing changes.

I did another weigh-in today...it was 240.6 and I have NEVER seen that number before WOOT WOOT! I'm really excited, this keeps me motivated to keep going. Hope everyone is doing good!

Woo hoo that is excellent news Aharris!

I hope ya'll are doing well! I had such good intentions to get right back here but didn't. I am just getting ready to try something new with cycling higher carb and cal days with lower cal and lower cal days with 1 free day a week. I found myself missing too many foods again and OD'ing on sweet potatoes. I'm hoping the plan will let me have the best of both worlds.

Way to go Aharris!

My weight is dropping at a snails pace because I'm slacking on cutting some low carb indulgences but it beats the gaining trend I was on for several months so I'm happy with that for now! I'll get some more time under my belt before I try to take away my crutches. What's awesome is that my mom is now doing low carb also! After a year of me sharing info something from Wheat Belly caught her attention so she tried ditching flour for a while and loved how much better she felt! Now she's checking labels for carbs and using stevia in her coffee. I'm happy she's found a woe that makes her feel good and of course it's been so nice having someone around that shares the same plan. It's helping me stay motivated. Yay! lol

Summer will be here before we know it so good luck to everyone!

Hi all. Hope you had a fab New Years, Christmas, holiday season. I'm back at the gym finally and have started doing Kettle Bells. Has anyone tried it? It is pretty awesome. Today I can barely move lol. I am also 14lbs down so far and its going well.

Finally! After DAYS of the scale flickering to 169, it stuck! I'm not focusing too much on what the scale says anyway but I like to keep up with it. My stomach looks less bloated, my skin is less dry and my moods are more stable. I don't know what goes on in my head sometimes that I allow myself to forget how awesome low carb is for my body. Today I plan on doing meat and eggs only and I may add in one meat fast day a week if it goes well.

I hope everyone is feeling good and getting excited for summer! What are some fun things you plan on doing?
