Dont know where everyone went! I just dont get on much since I am a full time gramma... takes a lot of energy but I do get here every other day to read a bit...

I dropped the dairy (no milk products, no cheese, but still have butter) and suddenly debloated! Only 209 this morning at 8 am! I can't believe I am out of the 210s!

Also, I am experimenting after reading Jimmy Moore's success. I'm only eating protein at breakfast and late dinner. Lunch = avocado. I have been getting that buzz on in the late afternoons/early evenings with the metalic taste in my mouth. Has to mean ketosis.

Hey kids checking in!!! I just wrapped up with my trainer I lost 8.5 in 4 weeks I am pretty pleased considering the last 3 Sunday weigh ins have been following big b-day parties! I am sticking to about 70-100 carbs, working out 6-7 days a week, so I am not feeling guilty about enjoying family gatherings! If I keep losing baout 2 pounds a week I will be happy, I am enjoying my workouts and benching more and more weight. I am starting to see changes so that is good.

Amber, glad you're pleased with the plan you are on now.

KT, I'm reading THE ART AND SCIENCE OF LOW CARB PERFORMANCE and trying to follow one of the threads on LCF re High fat, Mid Proteins, and Low Carb.- It certainly makes sense, doesn't it?

Down some today but still 7 pounds off my recent low- Gotta keep eating clean.

I've been mulling over purchasing the Art and Science book. Haven't read it yet. I have read Kwasnewski's optimal diet, also a moderate protein high fat plan.

Nikki...those pics are amazing! You look wonderful!

I have been finding it way to easy to cheat and I am slowly creeping back up. Fighting hard to stay under 190! Part of my success last year was honestly that I ate out so much. I am working diligently to pay of our credit card by the new year which means next to no eating out and no playdates that cost money (our playgroup spends a lot of money taking kids places). Being home more during the day is making it so much harder to resist snacking here and there and once I start I blow my whole day...I am just that sensative to carbs. Nothing new to me, I learned that last year as I was losing. Anyhow I am trying to refocus myself and get some of the weight off that I've gained and then I need to figure out maintence! I'm going to try to post in here more (even if I am talking to myself lol) so that I can get myself back on track

Beebug- no kidding this summer being home was the killer for me, OMG I gained 20 pounds in 3 months, it is terrible and I am delusional to think I can eat junk here and there cause I cant! It is so hard to maintain! Harder than losing, it really is! You will figure it out though.

I have to check out that book

I had a much easier time losing weight than I have had in attempting to maintain. I did watch everything I ate and exercised a LOT, but the excitement of squeezing into the next-smaller size was such great motivation!

Now in the last ten months I've gained back 43.5 pounds. I don't exercise as much as i used to (my knee is acting up) and I cheat FAR too often and for much too long. I had to take out clothes that have been in the attic for over a year now because nothing else fit.

So with two months left until Christmas, I really MUST get my eating back in control. If I can possibly get back down to BMI 25 I'll be thrilled, but even just managing to wear the largest size before my attic trip will be a success.

Hello Hb's!!!! I'm back and in for another 3 months!!!!! The summer did me in. I have gained 20 lbs since my last weigh in. Ugh. It was nice not to be obsessed with the scale every morning.... I knew I was gaining though because my clothes started getting tighter and tighter. I knew it was time to get this back under control before I had to go up a size.... so here I am. I will think about my goals soon.

I haven't been checking in as often as I should either. I'm SICK AND TIRED of losing and gaining the same 10 lbs. So I decided to shake things up - I joined the gym, and have been working out at least 6 days a week. I also signed up for a 4k run this month and a half marathon in Feb. I also started adding in good carbs like oatmeal for breakfast.

We only have 6 weeks left to this year - let's finish it with a bang! (or a good loss)
