I am here also.

I actually lost 2 lbs last month. Not a lot, but the scale is consistently lower, not bouncing around. My eating has settled down to a plan, and I am able to stick with it. That helps my mental, if I don't feel like I am failing all the time. And I don't have time to stress out about eating.

Hubby is going to have surgery on Tuesday. Going to take out 1/3 of colon and some lymph nodes, a spot on his liver is going to be checked out also.
Hospital stay 5 to 6 days, 6 weeks recovery. Good chance of chemo after surgery.

His mother is coming in from KY on Sunday to help me with Asher the day of surgery and after.

I will try to check in but might not.

Things are hard for me right now.

for the entire family. Try to let us know what is going on. But we will understand if you don't. I know the whole situation is overwhelming.

Been MIA for a couple of weeks. Have been so busy with work, kids, and baseball.

Scale is still holding which is good since I have not been eating totally on plan.

Only have a few minutes before heading out for baseball, but wanted to stop in and say Hello!!!

I am back..............This morning I am back down to what I was BEFORE a 4 day road trip with restaurants as the only option. I feel pretty good about that..................too bad I am going to have 2 days at a horse show, which is tough to eat right at, also!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Too bad I have 4 tax returns I HAVE to get done today, so they are not at risk of late filing on Monday when I get back.............................

Karen quarterly taxes? Sounds like you did pretty good on your diet if you got back down after only 4 days.

Misty how was the wedding?

Lizzy hope Dh pain has gotten better.

Karen sounds like your busy season is starting up.

Cheryl the wedding was fabulous they were saying rain all week, but ended up with only a quick shower. It did end up pretty cold before it ended but was still so nice.

We went for a drive today and it was so pretty. They said we wouldn't have much in the way of fall colors this year because of the drought. But the frost/ freeze we had last weekend really put things in motion. It was beautiful- reds, yellows, purples mixed in with the green.

We went last weekend. Very pretty.
This weekend was a horse show.

Now life should settle back down. We got the beans out, and calves weaned. Now DH just has corn to get out.

So far, we are OK with crops. Drought damage mostly lost hay volume.

Cheryl we had a fast fall for leaves up here. Glad I took alot of pics. Cold spell came fast and then no sun and frost and rain. When the heavy winds started up it looked like it was snowing leaves but it was pretty.

Karen glad your slowing down for awhile. On the news here they were say alot of prices will be going up this winter because of the drought and higher prices to feed animals.

Lizzy hope DH is doing better with the pain. Hang in there Hows Asher doing? Bet he's getting big.

Worked the pancake breakfast for the FD yesterday. But only ate alot of bacon and sausage. Pancakes were tempting though

I am worried about you guys buying food at grocery store next year. $8 corn is going to have a horrific affect, I think. Oats have never been near the price they are this year. Cheerios could be impacted drastically

Beef prices and pork may not be as impacted, because they tend to keep the prices at the store where people will buy, and they break the producers. (Farmers and Bankruptcy) A lot will hinge on weather in the southern hemisphere. If Brazil has lousy weather that damages crop production, I am not sure what part of our anatomy we should be holding on to........ MIlk-------oh, my goodness. But when we sold the cows, I swore I would never complain about the price of milk, and promised my husband I would never buy another milk cow

Here we are talking an area that I grew up in, and still am in, and I am just sitting back. Even the experts are just hedging, and not making solid predictions.

We are home!!!

Still no word on pathology yet. Doc said he would call when it came in. Hubby goes back in on thursday to have staples taken out.

Asher is starting to cut a tooth!! He just turned 3 moths on sunday!!! He is chewing his hands, cranky, slobbering, and enjoys when I rub his gums but just for a second. Seems like he should bee too young for this.

I am so tired. Running back and forth just about did me in. Have to go to the store today for some meat, had stuff spoil last week cause I just didn't notice. About 30 bucks worth.

Did find a great place for BBQ salads and on Friday and Saturday they make a mean brisket!!!! Hard to find a good brisket around here.

Weight has jumped around but not over my 195. Did get down 192 but that was surgery day and I did nothing but pace and rock in the waiting room.

Sitting in the hospital eating nuts and pork rinds. Sugar free candy, stress, no sleep, yuck!!!

Oh well. onward and down ward!

lizzy glad your all home. Being home always makes everyone feel better and able to get rested up. Wow little Asher cutting teeth already, that is young. But I think it's great to get it over with before there gums get tuff and it hurts more.

Asher already teething? Wow

Good for you keeping your weight steady. I medicate with food when I am stressed.

Did I tell you Mom got a street light? It's almost civilized. there are getting to be more houses in her neighborhood. We went to the old place- lot to see what was going on. Not a lot of rebuilding there. But I think it is because they don't know what the school is going to do. They bought up a lot of the land to 24 th street and now they have torn out that street. Moms place was 1 lot from there. I'm glad we sold it to a developer early on.
