i was supposed to go to a 2 day convention....

which took place here in Bklyn. some years ago. However, my (earth)mom took sick (she still was living in her own apartment)in Bklyn. I could not leave her alone. So, there went the only opportunity I had to go. I would have been a natural. It would have given the HEWMONS a great opportunity to see a truly evolved species 1st hand. Food wise, I am, miraculously not hungry. It is like pulling teeth to get my brother to tell me what he, the wife, and her mom wants for Christmas. I will be calling him soon, for the 8th time. I will make a stop at Petland Discounts for the dogs next week, assuming they were not naughty, but nice. FF

ff, i can't believe there haven't been more conventions near you...i hope you have another opportunity - i wonder if they are still having them???...shatner, nimoy, takei, et al are still kicking, so you never know...

vicki, our family visited dyerville on one of our cross country trips...beautiful place...spent the night before in the rv in the parking lot of the walmart in dubuque - it was late and we couldn't find a campground... :-)

Tony, I don't know anything about i pads but if you go to lcf advance posting, at the bottom of the screen it will say "manage attachments". Click on it and it will let you browse your computer for any photos you have. Open the photo and the jpeg number etc. will show up in the browse box. Then hit download and it will be in your post. If an ipad is a computer and you can post from it, following the above should do it. Looking forward to it!

Vicki, thanks for the white chili recipe. Yum yum!

FF, wouldn't it be wonderful if you could attach the music you are listening to as you send us your posts! The next best thing would be to find the music on utube and have it playing in the background as we read your posts!

I woke up during the night with a headache! Haven't had one since last March thank goodness. Took one ibuprophen when I got up and had one cup of coffee and feel fine now. That is lucky. Usually I am in for an all day misery when I get one. I am thinking maybe I was a little dehydrated and caffein depleted yesterday. I have been having 4 cups of coffee a day during the week and only had one yesterday. Will watch out for that again. Plenty of caffeine coming my way today at breakfast. lol

Have moved into the next pound down today. (probably dehydration water loss) lol But anyway, that made me happy. Probably down 3 oz. from my last low. I have been bouncing up and down so much the last week I can't remember what my last low was. Totally sick of lc lasagna and pizza now. Are you all surprised? Bacon and eggs for breakfast probably and maybe some tuna with mayo later in the day.

Had a nice surprise at Michaels yesterday. Went to pay for my yarn and the guy at the register took a coupon out of an envelope and scanned it which took almost $5.00 off the skein! I said well, Merry Christmas to me! Bought Jen a zip up lined sweatshirt hoodie in a sort of chartreuse color (muted) and a long sleeve t-shirt with same green and gray stripes. Will include the receipt and she can go to the Target out in MO. and exchange very easily.

Wishing all the Blitzers a great Sunday!

suewithchris.jpg

okay, let's see if this works...i have a grand total of two pics on my computer - both of my wife with my two sons when they were babies...these photos are 27-ish and 25-ish years old...

this first one is sue with my oldest son, chris who will be 28 in a couple of weeks...

we may take a ride to the building today and if we do, i will try to take a photo for you abs...

i have no desire for any food - don't know why, but nothing is appealing to me the past few days...i'm eating, but just grazing on anything i can stomach...i feel fine, just am sick of every kind of food...last night i had some wings and a burger...this morning, i fried some uncured, nitrate-free ham...

hope y'all are having a great sunday!

Tony, you did great! Sue is very pretty and I'm sure Chris is just as cute now at 28! Now for the store front....

I am having that feeling of nothing really looks that appetizing. I have a chicken in the oven that smells good but not enough for me to eat any of it. Really this is a wonderful feeling. I hope it keeps up!! I had a momentary craving last night for some nuts. But it was sort of a wistful craving. I am not planning on ever getting hooked on them again. The big see through plastic jar is in sight on top of the frig. and I never really notice it anymore.

What's everybody else doing today? I just wrapped Jen's gift and got it ready to mail and then called Mom's best friend from childhood who is a real sweetheart. I have never met her but she is so much fun to talk to.

Tony, the building looks terrific. Very festive. Love the window boxes and the big wreath on the roof! Are you going to have a place here to write songs?

Anthony was adorable! Sue reminds me of Sally Field or Barbara Parkins when she was on Peyton Place. Thanks for sharing your photos!

Talk to you all in the morning!

thanks, abs...if you look at the pic of the whole building, the gym takes up everything but the two windows on the far right of the building - there was a pre-school in there for 10 years until june...the chain link fence in front of that space was the enclosure for the playground for the kids...

i haven't even advertised it yet, but i will probably try to find a tenant for that final 2000 sq ft space...i may re-paint it and use it as my office until i find a good tenant...

what you cannot see in the photo is that there is a lower level to this building which is above ground on two sides including the back...it's warehouse type space with three truck-level loading docks and another big overheard door (total of 4)...it has high ceilings and is pretty nice space...i currently have most of it filled with my stuff - lumber, trucks, forklifts, tools, etc...

of the 12,000 sq ft in the lower level, i may take 4000 of it to make my office and writing studio and set up a music venue there decorated with stuff from the lumber yard like we used to do before i sold the lumber yard next door...

sorry for all that info, but i don't know how else to explain it :-)

busy week coming up:
mon: i close on the building and record a song in nashville via skype
tue: oil company refurbishing my heating system and tear out basement carpet
wed: new carpet installed in basement
thu: free!
fri: my follow-up with the surgeon! yea!!!
sat: hosting a family christmas party for two of my sisters and their families...

i will have more time to investigate it (you guessed it)AFTER I retire. my (earth)brother finally got back to me. however, i did not go today. i am a bit tired. so, i will go one day after work this week. everything i need to get is on the 1st floor. Speaking of tired, Mr Sandman is expecting me, so goodnight to all. F-68 days to go-F

Yea Tony, you are more than an eye! lol So good to see you and your beautiful family! The girls all are just lovely like Sue and the boys are so handsome like you! I can see you and Chris favor each other. You look pretty slim in your photo. When was that taken?

Your building certainly is alot bigger than what it appears. 4000 square feet to be used as a studio would be great! Would it be below the fitness part or the old pre school part?

FF, nice that you can do all your Christmas shopping on one floor! You don't have to mail anything do you. Will you be having Christmas at your earth brother's house? I'm sure you told us but I can't remember.

I am down afew oz today. Had chicken, eggs, bacon, sausage, pork skins and dip yesterday. Enough coffee to keep the caffeine headache away lol and one glass of lime flavored selzer water. Need to get my lunch and coffee brewed for work. Making chicken and mayo on lettuce.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

awww, thanks abs...i'll agree the kids are kinda cute :-) the avatar photo was taken at sarah's graduation from unh in may, 2011 - i think i weighed in the 212 range then...thanks for saying i look "slim" but i'm almost 30 lbs. above my wedding day weight there...when i am at 212, i don't feel fat fat, but i still feel quite a bit heavier than i should be...but thanks!

if i take 4000 sf in the lower level for my studio, etc., 2000 of it will be under the old pre-school and 2000 would be under part of the gym...the building is an L-shape if you look at it from above...it is 120-feet along the front - the left half goes back about 125 feet and the right half goes back about 75 feet...i would take the right half, so the space would be about 60-feet wide by 75-feet deep...that's a pretty good sized space and would leave 8000 sf in the lower level to rent (60ft wide by 125 feet deep)...

gotta go to the bank this morning to wire-transfer the purchase price to buy the building!...see y'all in a bit!

Hey everybody.....I'm so proud of all of you for staying on plan (or close to it) during this season.

Tony! So nice to see a whole face! To be honest, I googled you and saw a picture of you. Or, maybe it wasn't you....

I got so angry yesterday that I went through the house and got rid of all non-MF program foods. The company luncheon is this Friday and then after that, clear sailing!

I'm at work so I better log off. TTYL

wow, Tony, there u are with the family!

beautiful!!! Norman Rockwell could not have done better. I only wish I could reciprocate. I forgot how to use the camera part of my cell phone. I also have no clue how to transfer pix to the computer, and then from the computer to LCF. The good news is that you would not want to see the evidence during dinner time. It was raining today, so I stayed home. I will deal with it tomorrow or Wed after work. I wish it were technologically feasible to co-ordinate the music to my postings...but i haven't got a clue. Looking forward to work tomorrow. I need to get mback to structure. I need to figure out how to create structure on those days when I am not on my part time job. FF

FF, I think you will develop a structure for your retirement time. I still think you should find a coffee shop within walking distance so you get your exercise in and also find people you can chat with and bond with on a regular basis. Can't help you with the camera to computer transfer of pictures. I can't see on mine a place to plug in a USB port. That is what you would need. My camera has one and I plug the cord into the camera and the computer and then turn the camera on. After afew seconds the screen on my computer has a message do I want to import the pictures. I think when we got the canon camera there was a program we had to download that would do this transfer. If my computer dies I don't know what I will do.

Tony, congratulations on acquiring the new building. That and the song writing will keep you more than busy as it always has! Steak tips sound very delicious!

Marilee, good for you for getting rid of all the carbage and just keeping the mf foods! This is going to guarantee your success!

Vicki, isn't it nice to see more than an eyeball with Tony? lol Are you still interviewing for a new job?

Still in ketosis and hovering around my new low of yesterday. Had chicken salad on lettuce, pork skins with dip, coffee with cream and 1tbl of coconut oil yesterday.

Hope you all have a great Tuesday!

i am pleased to say i did not stray this 3 day weekend!

as a matter of fact, my clothes are a tad looser than last week. I did get awfully lazy. It is okay for a few days, but it better not get to be a habit. Tonight I shall go to SHOPRITE primarily to walk the aisles. But, also to fill up on diet soda, and gift wrapping and Christmas cards. Tomorrow is the day. Flannel pjs for my (earth)sis-in-law's mom is on the 2nd floor. Ah well, it IS only once a year. I am torn between my odium for the commercialism of Christmas, and the need to feed the economy. I am sure the pagan holidays were just as commercial, so that makes me feel better. The only person that spends money for the pagan holidays is ME. btw, of u listen carefully, you might hear some of the Bocelli in Central Park concert. Tony, is the rental space gonna be commercial or residential, if i may ask? F-66 days to go-F

ff, the space is commercial, although i think they do allow residential as well...i might be able to collect as much rent putting in a kitchen and renting the school space out as a 2000sf apartment!...haha!

abs, i don't think you have taken enough credit for your awesome commitment and consistency during this blitz!...you have been steady as a rock and i want you to know how proud i am of you as what you have accomplished is very difficult!...

marilee, i'm proud of you too...you lost a lot of weight and then did not give up after a slip, but came back re-dedicated!...

while i'm doling out praise here, ff, you deserve it too...your habits now, compared to when we started these blitzes is nothing short of amazing - and in over 2 1/2 years you never went back to the old ways no matter how difficult the struggle has gotten at times...

well, the guys is here to do some work on my heating system - this should be fun...he's cutting or drilling something right now that is shaking the whole house!...i'll check in later...

thanks, Tony...much appreciated.

In my sloth, i was trying to figure out how far north i would have to be July thru Sept for the average high temp to be no higher than 70 F. If i ever get hold of some real $$$ (lotto or AC for example), I would love to rent a summer cottage for those 4 months. The very thought of going through those 4 months down here in the Baked Apple makes me want to hurl. i have the fan on all the time now when i am home. I have yet to zipper my jacket, when i am outside. It is mid-Dec already. I would have to do Italy anytime from late Oct to early April. Until that becomes a reality, there is always opera and Dreamfields. F-66-F

ff, the summers are nice here and there are many days where the highs are only in the 70s, but we get plenty of 80s days and even a few 90s...to get as low as you hope for, you may have to get a passport and hit canada! :-)

although a summer cottage on the coast might accomplish the same thing as you get the cool breezes off the ocean...

the furnace guy is still here and making a racket!

Good morning!

Tony, thanks for the kind thoughts. I've just had a lot on my mind - both fun and not fun and I haven't had much to share. I'm hanging in there. Trying to be on plan, but finding it very difficult to do so.

ff, you can come and visit me in the winter...you'd love it.

I'm going to be watching the 12.12.12 concert on TV. I sure hope they raise a lot of money to help out the people in NY and NJ. So sad.

Abi and ff are our heroes this Blitz. They have been our standard. I am hoping for better results on the next Blitz, which starts before you know it!!

my only experience with Phoenix is the 1st part of PSYCHO

Janet Leigh's boss wouldn't even spring for AC in the outer office. Even when i watch it in the dead of winter, I am still sweating. You have my permission to do a Mrs Bates to me, just for the joy of escaping that heat. The shower scene takes part in TX, which is still no bargain temperature-wise. what IS the average high temp in Phoenix for the winter? Enquiring trolls need to know. FF

Phoenix looks a lot different now than what it did in "Psycho'. Anywho, I googled your question and here are the averages. Of course this past year was exceptionally hot....

Ha Ha Tony! I had to finish one of those lamb knitting projects to bring into work today to show a fellow knitter. I guess that shows I have some mixed up priorities. lol Thought I could sneak in here at 5:45 and get away with it.

Post will be short. Tag team of Bama the dog and Daba the cat are at it this morning. Daba knows how to open the cabinets and then Bama drags stuff out of them. lol

Marilee, thanks for the high five! Now I CAN'T let you all down. Need to keep on keeping on to goal. I am determined by the end to the next Blitz I can put maintaining in my avitar!!

FF, you are creeping me out talking about psycho! lol

Still in ketosis. Had chicken salad on lettuce, pork skins and dip yesterday.

Have a great Wed. all!
