Long time no post. I have a lot of excuses, but none of them are good. Here is my current stats:
Today: 234.4 Last Post: 230.8 Gain: 4.4 lbs Ouch. The scale and my pants are telling me to get to work. That nagging sore hip thing is back too. Saw that this summer when I let my weight creep to the mid 230s. Going to start P90X and I pan to stick with it this time. I ordered some creatine, have the whey ready to go. Anyone that can give me their experience using glutamine would appreciated. Looks like glutamine helps with the sore muscles. My main goal this month is to watch the portions and get regular exercise going again. |

Good god, its October already?!?!
Well here goes. Start (7/23/12):317.4 Today (10/1/12):298 This Week (9/24-10-1) -2 VFZ: some where below 210 After hitting my head against the wall at 300 for quite some time, I finally dipped below it this week and consistently held it. I need some big weeks, at this rate I wont even come close to my goal weight at my wedding next year. I've been hitting the gym at least three times a week, but a bottle of wine and a dinner date probably didnt help this week.

Still down 15-20 for the year, but up 4 from my July low. I'm going to Cabo the second week of November and would like to drop at least 5-10 pounds before then. Huff- thanks for the thread. |

Thanks for the new thread Huff. Doing well here. Had a few foot issues the last few weeks, but I bought some new shoes and have been mixing up the exercises and working around it. Feeling pretty good overall now.
Huff - The Halloween candy. Last year I tried something different and didn't buy any candy until the morning of Halloween. That seemed to work well, I usually break into the stash early, and once a bag is open, it might as well be empty. As usual, you guys with kids have it a lot tougher. |

Huff - thanks for starting the thread.
Weight this morning - 145 wgt Sept 1 - 147 (down 2) wgt Jan 1 - 173 (down 28) max wgt (Apr 2011) 229 (down 84) We had a church function yesterday with a lot of free food, almost all carbage. Quite a feeding frenzy. I ate more LC food than I needed, but the cookies, candy, etc don't quite register as "food" in my mind anymore. On Saturday, by the grace of God, it will be a year since I've eaten anything with added sugar. |

I'm heading out of town tomorrow for a guys trip to play some golf and go see UT play WVU. Hopefully it will be good game. I'm sure there will be unnecessary amounts of alcohol consumed, but staying on plan with food shouldn't be a big deal.

Ugh what a week. Had a poker night friday and all was well till a buddy suggested we have 1 glass of wine. Somehow that turned into a 1.75 of Jameson and Makers. I think I'm still hungover. Besides that, I made it through a birthday party and also a couple days of treats at work with clean eating. Still posting a loss this week, but if I'm to make goal next summer, I need to see some bigger losses, a pound a week isnt gonna cut it.

Last week: 234.4
This week: 232.8 -1.4. Not a good week, but it was a loss. I am working to get this right. Like all of you know, it is all about the momentum. For the last few years I've done hundreds of starts and stops. Going to try to get this ship moving where I need it to go. Gimp - nice job on the 60. That is awesome. |

Congratulations, all you losers!
I got a one-year medallion at my Overeaters Anonymous home group Sunday night. I'm as weak-willed as I ever was, but I'm learning to rely on God in a way that I never did before. I went to the doctor for annual blood work last week, and got my results Monday. I don't have the ones from last October, so I don't remember anything but my a1c, but I remember something about my cholesterol being high. This time: Total cholesterol: 203 mg/dl (normal = 200 mg/dl, according to my doctor's letter) HDL: 80 (normal is > 45) LDL: 114 (normal is < 130) triglycerides: 46 (normal is < 150) And I usually eat 3-6 fried eggs a day. Yay saturated fats!

Yeah, great numbers Doug.
Still doing well here. I love fall so much. It's been sunny and mid 70's during the day all week here. It just makes you want to go outside and do something. |

Happy monday campers....
10/01: 298.6 10/08: 297.4 10/15: 296.4 Well I'm steadily losing now, just not at the rate I want. Considering I had a few drinks this week I cant complain too much thou. Hunting season started so I've been hiking my butt off with a 50 pound pack/rifle so I should see some good losses in the near future. However with that our annual Halloween party is Friday so thats a planned off day. Just gotta wait and see how that plays out. GL to the rest of ya. Where'd you all go? |

checking in. Life has dealt me several kicks in the nuts this past week, but I'm hanging in. This biggest on being my largest client sent out an RFP today for my firm's contract. I think we're in good shape, and have been told it is something they do periodically with every contract, but it's not a good feeling that more than half my income could be gone in a couple of months.

Its Monday, already?
10/01: 298.6 10/08: 297.4 10/15: 296.4 10/22: 301 Expected and not too disappointing either. Had my epic yearly Halloween party on friday night and we kicked it off with some Seahawk football thursday, which I kicked off with a dinner with the fiance on Wednesday. So three days of eating very poorly and only +5.4 isnt so bad. I was back on plan as of yesterday, so here we go again. GL BigD, I cant imagine working private sector and not being able to plan/rely on a steady paycheck. GL to the rest of you campers. Big numbers this week ok? Lets see 'em! |

Checking in. I am not doing well, but continue to try and focus on change. It is hard to remember how I was able to stick to a solid plan for a long period of time. It is perplexing how I let that plan go a day at a time to culminate back to fat.
I am going to stick to a daily workout routine and then try to get my diet under control. Doug - congrats on the medallion. That is really a neat thing. CTI - WTG. Keep up the good work. Any campers want to do a weekly workout challenge? Workout at least 5 days per week, any routine/combo allowed. Challenge goes from Monday - Sunday. |

All things considered, I'm doing OK. My stress is very high and I go from not being able to eat for a day, to wanting to gorge on crap. So far I've only gone off the wagon once in the last week. Everyone should be buying stock in antacid companies, because I'm shoveling them down my throat at a record pace.
I'm in. I've only got one in this week so far, so I better get in gear. Exercise has given me a little stress relief, so I need to be cramming in my schedule. |

Skipped exercise last night. I had the joy of taking apart the dishwasher to fix a drainage issue and then had to snake our kitchen sink. Not fun.
Hang in Huff. We both seem to be our own worst enemies in the battle of the bulge. |

doing well here. picked up an extra part time job that is a little more physically demanding than i thought it was going to be. i'm pretty sore, so i've backed off on the exercise a bit, but eats have been clean. the job is nothing i can't handle, just one of those things where i am using muscles that i don't normally use so much.

hey guys,
not been posting a whole lot lately, been reading the posts though, back on the wagon for me as my weight went up a bit, did induction last week and came down a few lbs. been trying to basically keep it pretty clean with the exception of a few planned meals, exercise has been hard on lower carb for sure, I have done a p90x and insanity exercise here and there, nothing more than 3 days a week, trying to get back into it, harder now I work 10 hr day shifts so I really feel sapped when I get home, will post more regular starting tomorrow, with a monthly weigh in btw - one good thing is I have avoided all halloween candy so far, even with my wife buying one big box of those little bars and eating them in front of me, which is not normal for me |
