I don't see the need to start a November thread as we've just now reached page 2.

I had my annual physical today. After being poked, prodded and violated, the Dr. was happy as I weighed in 13 lbs less than my last appointment. Hopefully my blood work will be good as well.

I leave on a week vacation tomorrow, so I won't be checking in for a while. I need a vacation, but the timing really sucks with all the bad stuff going on right now.

April - 168
May - 164.2
June - 166.4
July - 169.6
Aug - 170
Nov - 174.4

Up a bit from where I would like to be. Totally eating and little exercise. I am renewed however and am going to exercise 5 days a week from this point on.

5 days a week I can pretty much eat what I want. Going to give it a shot, see where it takes me weightwise.

I see a few of you guys have started an exercise challenge, I'd like to join in and will do 5 days a week whenever possible, if I miss a day, I will make that day up . So for November I will exercise at least 20 days of cardio or weight routines.

Will check in more often too, as I always do better when I do.

Checking in. Pretty proud to say that I made it through Halloween without eating a single piece of candy. Been getting the exercise in too.

Hope you have a good vacation BigD.

I was down to 140 this morning. We'll see if it sticks.

No Halloween carbage for the second 10/31 in a row.

I'll join you guys on the exercise challenge tomorrow.

Hey guys - glad to see we're exercising. Here is my stats:

Walking/jogging - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Sunday

Weight:

Last week: 240
This week: 235

LOSS: 5 lbs

I wish I could say that I resisted the carbage. Did not happen. I actually had severe cravings and raided what was left of the candy bowl on Saturday. It was a pathetic site. Yesterday though, I was back on track. So far today, doing well. I plan to be back in the 220s by Friday.

Good luck to the rest of you.

Doing well here. Pretty much getting some kind of exercise in each day.

Nice loss there Huff, even if it wasn't a perfect week. And Doug, way to keep at it.

I could probably top that pathetic sight! I havent stopped eating my kids candy all weekend . My eating has sucked lately, I havent been able to fill myself up lately, always feel hungry.

On thursday I weighed in at 174.4, this morning I was 178 !!! The most I have been in a long while, on the good side, I have been exercising almost every day doing HIIT. I missed one day this month so far.

Usually I do gain a bit of weight when I first start. At least now I have something to shoot for, we booked a vacation for Dec 5th for a week. It would be nice if I could get around 165-167 by then. Which is doable.

We will see.....

Nice loss Huff

Seems like a big gain, but my wife says it could be from the anti-inflammatories I have been on since thursday. I will accept that excuse, sounds good to me!

Day 4 of the November exercise challenge is done, going to see how many days I can not miss all month.

Shiner - good to hear I am in the company of others! I found out last week that I could put on 6 lbs. I think I did it all in a day or two.

Oobs - glad you guys are holding down the fort. It has gotten a bit slow around the camp. Lots of struggles. It is awesome to see the regulars like yourself keeping things going.

Put in exercise tonight. Day 1 check.

Things good here, weight is not so good, exercise is excellent. 1st week of november I got 5 routines in which is the goal.

This weekend I am having a planned eat what you want to celebrate birthdays. Monday I am back on the wagon, exercise of course will not falter. I will however most likely be at critical mass by monday, we are going away for a hotel one night stay and will be partaking in all that is offered.

I have noticed something though, usually at this weight I have a harder time exercising, especially the cardio, now though I dont notice that, I can keep up, I think mentally I am all in, so I feel great about that. Even just finished a routine on a friday of all days!!!

Have a good weekend, lets keep this thread going too!

Still holding course here. Eats and exercise has been where it needs to be. I've been knocking out some small projects around the house the past few weekends. Most people get that motivation in the spring when in starts to get warm. I get the motivation when it cools off. Only thing left on the list is to fix a fence post that has either broken just below ground level or is just really loose. The thing sways in the wind.

Hope everyone is doing well. I'm certainly starting to feel the appetite increase as I notice all the advertisements for holiday meals and treats. Wish I could indulge just a little, but I know I'll just go off the deep end, so trying to keep away from it completely.

I'm back!

Exercised every day on vacation, but ate poorly. Eats are back on track now.

Ken, we're sticking here for the month. We're not getting lots of activity, so starting a new thread seemed pointless to me. Hopefully the back half of November will generate a little more activity.

Weighed in yesterday, almost reached critical mass. Was at 179.5lbs. Havent been that in a long long time.

Put the plan in motion yesterday to reduce that number. Will continue to weigh in weekly to help motivate myself and keep on track.

Vacation in 3 weeks today. I am hopeful I can get down under 170 for that.

Nov 13 - 179.5

Well, a few hours after I posted this eats went to heck. Last two days I definitely ate more than my share. A local Mexican restaurant drew me in, then I suffered from the mentality of thinking since I messed up I might as well cut loose a little more. Luckily I am pretty rock solid on staying away from sugar so that seems to limit the negative effects. Hoping to clean up the diet starting now.

I've always felt like if I can keep the exercise up it limits the damage done from a crappy diet. Unfortunately when I eat poorly, motivation to exercise seems to disappear. So, nice job on keeping the exercise going while still enjoying the food on vacation.

Ken- Keep us posted on the progress.

BigD - dont sweat it, it was a vacation and all.

Lower carbs = lower energy for the first few days, had to tone down the exercise, but we did a P90 level 5/6. Still worked up a decent sweat, just less go go go.

Ate carrots by mistake at lunch, luckily there was not a lot of them. I should be under 20g today minus the carrots.

I find when I eat better I dont wake up hungry at all, when I eat crap my stomach wants me to cram more stuff in it right when I get out of bed. This morning I got up at 4:30am and didnt really eat until around 8am.

I have to stick with this until I am under 170. 165 even better, then I add in some carbs and start doing a lot more exercise with the extra energy.

Still on track this week. I got some solid news this week that we were able to re-secure the contract with our largest client that was up for grabs. The thought of losing 50%+ of my income and laying off half of my staff was a bit stressful. Now I only have the regular stuff to stress over.

Bad week for me this week with the eats. Been doing well with exercise, but need to get the diet back on track. Worried the bad decisions will just spill over to next week too.

BigD- That is great news about re-securing the major contract.

great news BigD, has to be a relief.

Doing awesome here. Exercise has piddled away with low carb eating taking its place. Just dont have a ton of energy or time lately.

Scored a big one last nite as we had friends over and one lady brought every bag of chips/popcorn ever invented over. Didnt touch a single one. Woke up today to a pleasant surprise of being down 6lbs since last week.

Dont care if it was salt, water, whatever, its gone and Im happy. Goal was to get under 170, 4 lbs to go in the next 2.5 weeks before vacation. Going to try to hit 165 now, I like that weight much more for my size.

Ooba, keep on it man, I know for me one day turns into 2 which turns into a few weeks of bad moves. Its a slippery slope for sure. But at least you are on the exercise.

Monday weigh in

Nov 13 - 179.5
Nov 19 - 173

Excellent week for me. Even did a few exercise routines when I had the energy. Was in and out of ketosis all week, more in than out. Couldnt put a handle on what knocked me out. One week of induction down.

Goal now is to get somewhere between 165-170 in the next 2.5 weeks. Shouldn't be a problem.

Have the day off today so I may move all the furniture and paint the family room today. That should burn up some energy. Outside temps are above normal so cleaning brushes should be a lot easier.

crappy week for me last week. need to do better this week. i'm working thanksgiving and we don't plan on doing anything special meal wise, so the holiday shouldn't be an excuse to keep eating poorly.

nice job ken. energy always gets zapped that first week back.

Good exercise weekend. I jogged all three days and went biking through a local park with the kids on Saturday. My knees are a little sore as I don't usually do three days in a row. There is no need to discuss how I ate. It was not pretty.

Nice work, Ken!

Quick check in

Doing well here, my off plan meal tuesday nite threw my plan outta wack, just recovering this morning to show a slight loss since monday.

Boy did I have some cravings, I had to turn to the old sugar alcohols, tried to keep a hold on it though.

Hope you all had a great thanksgiving

Doing much better this week. Been on plan since Monday. I made it through Thanksgiving without straying. Pretty hard to do when all you're doing is watching football and sitting around.

Ken- I have the same problem with getting on track after a cheat. The cravings are intense. I honestly don't know if a cheat day ever lasted just one day.

Not sure whats going on, was 2lbs lower 2 days ago and have been eating perfectly! May just be water retention, but at least its going in the right direction.

9 more days till vacation, new plan is to try to get as close to 165 as possible before I leave. Repetitiveness of food starting to work its way on me.

Funny thing too, I just finally got back into ketosis yesterday.

Ooba - the cheat only lasting a meal was a great accomplishment for me, very happy about that, just wondering where I would be now if I didnt have that meal though!

Check in guys, this place is dead!

Doing well here. Feel like I've gotten enough clean days behind me to forget the insanity that was last weak's diet. Been riding my bicycle a bunch lately. I had gotten burned out on that for awhile, but now it's my go to choice for cardio. It's just now starting to get cold enough though that I need to do it in the middle of the day on days off to avoid the cold weather, or just make sure I ride on the mornings that it's warm enough.

I tend to dwell on that too. Best thing I can do is avoid the scale for a few days after a cheat. At times the scale can be a great motivator, but also an evil b!t@h at times too.

Not a good week for me. Starting with celebrating my birthday Monday and carrying through Thanksgiving, I ate awfully. Started back on plan Friday, but got a bad stomach bug that night and haven't been eating much at all. Problem is what I have been eating has been very carby. My stomach is still off and food is just running though me. At least it's not coming back up anymore!

I did exercise every day until this weekend, so I have that going for me!

BigD - you are in a tough spot there, stomach bugs suck and zap your energy when on low carb,

Worked nite shift today and after a couple hours sleep woke up to 2lbs under what I was for weigh in, I hope it sticks , thats where I felt I should have been monday morning if things went according to plan

off today and then back on days for the rest of the year!

I'm feeling better, so I'm back on low carb. I'll try to get in a jog or at least a walk this evening. I'm ready to get back on track.
