Low Carb - you can do it however you want. There are people who weigh daily, then others that weigh weekly (at best) which is ME!

Oooo.... New challenge. Now I'm going to have to figure out my goals again. My B-Day is January 6th which is techncially after the world ends, but if for some reason I survive with the cockroaches I really want to be under 140 by the time I turn 31 (that way I can be skinny by 30 sheerly by a technicality). So for this challenge I'm going to say 142 lbs which is 20-22 lbs and probably totally not going to happen but what the heck.

See everyone at the end of the world. I'll bring champagne

I was 164 pounds today and am having 2 high calories/carb days in a row so that may go up a bit.

Lynne - totally claim it! Woohoo!

Monica - you know, I was looking at your stats and you're pretty close to your goal weight! You'll get there in no time!

Tami - dang the scale… I think it paused long enough for you claim 219, no?

Elise - I'm turning 31 in just over a month! Didn't realize we're same age with similar weight goals! Yay! I feel the same way too, it'd be nice to be under 140 by the time I turn 31 but I don't think that will happen… But my mini-goal is to hit 140 by Oct 18th so you never know! We can do this together!

Low Carb Librarian - Join us - I weigh every day, some of us weekly and that's all fine. We keep each other going and support each other, it's an amazing group. I don't know how long I'd have lasted on my own if it weren't for the lovely people here on this thread.

Having a look at my weight loss record so far, I'd say my goal for this end of the world challenge would be for me to get to 130lbs. Gosh, 15 pounds to go... But we'll see - my goals are never set in stone, as long as I'm steadily losing I'm happy!

Looking forward to another season of us "losers" supporting each other... We can do this!

Anna

Ok I weighed this morning and I am back down to 170.2. Goal for December 21st is 8 pounds so 162.2.

Start: 170.2
Goal : 162.2

I would be thrilled with at least that !!

Well I sabotaged myself yesterday but it was still fun. My husband's work sponsers a carnival for the kids with bounce houses and all the free carnival food that comes with it. I sampled a little of everything including a pina colada after we got home so I was WAYYYYY over carbs and calories. So I'm doing a fast day today or as close to it as I can manage and am going to drink lots of water. I would really like to get into the 150's someday this century and the 4-5 pounds of water weight I just packed on doesn't help.

Good job getting back to siggy weight Zipp! Sometimes that's the hardest thing is not losing weight but reining yourself back in after some indulgence. I'm positive you'll see the 160's really soon. Just tighten up your calories and keep your carbs reasonable and you can definately get to 162!

Good morning everyone!!

I've got a new plan this challenge: in addition to doing JUDDD, I'm going to make it an absolute priority to get enough sleep. I've been averaging 4-5 hours a night, and maybe that's why the weight loss wasn't all I hoped for last challenge?

I found some research related to sleep deprivation and weight loss (or lack of weight loss, I should say!), I posted about it here.

I'm mostly staying lc with JUDDD - my numbers are about 500/2000 according to the calculator, so I've decided this challenge to nail the UD number in place and not go over that(!) and to let the DD number fluctuate between 500-800 as needed.

I will exercise more this time. I will drink my water. I will get enough sleep.

Brew, last night sounds like so much fun!! You'll be right back on track today, no problem. I JUDDD for that!

Zipp, 8 pounds doesn't seem like too much to ask! You've got a cruise coming up, right? Let's git r dunnn!!

Tami, It's 219, of course!! Just like all losses are FAT, all gains are WATER...

...all bounce-ups on the scale while you're standing on it, that's just AIR in your lungs. Totally doesn't count.

Librarian, and weigh as much or as little as you like. It's all good around here.

Anna, 15 pounds seems doable, I'm settling for 18 pounds this time and saying no way that's going to happen if I lost 12 pounds last time! And you're so close to goal, too. We'll see. As you say, as long as we're losing, we're happy.

I have crows walking over the skylights, I'd better get up and get them some toast. It's late.

Have a great day, everyone!! Hope I didn't miss anyone!!

Lynne

Geez, I just went back and looked at the summer challenge knowing I've missed every goal thus far by a long shot. My body is just not responding the same this time around and I keep being more than a little too aggressive with goals. My goal for the SUMMER challenge was 220. lol. So I'm exactly a challenge behind lol. With that in mind I'm going to keep my End of the World goal the same as my Autumn goal - 199. I'm so ready to be under 200. I will have a huge glitch when I go on vacation for a week and a half in October, but hopefully I can still pull it off.

And yeah, I wish I could claim 219. It did the same darned thing this morning... it's so close I can taste it, though. Hopefully in the next day or so.

Hello!!! I am ready to get over this bouncing stall with this challenge! I weighed in at 191.2 today... And would love to be 174 by the end of this challenge, so I can be out of the obese BMI rating! So I am aiming for just over 15 lbs! Here goes!!!

Thanks for the welcome!
My goal for Halloween is to be in the 160's again.
So for the end of the world... Anywhere in the 150's would be grand!
(but if the world does end I will really be pi@@€* that I passed up all the treats at work)

Thank you! It's good to let loose, but reining back in sometimes is tough! We had a lot of travel in July and August. That's all behind me now! Time to focus.

Tami, in looking back at challenges, I seem to have made way too agressive goals for myself too. That is why I adjusted this time around. I think your goal is dead on this time girl!

Weight this morning 164.8, really looking to get back to my siggy weight this week. I'm trying to keep everything really low carb but of course that tanks my hunger so then nothing sounds good (who can tell I'm a sugar addict?). So any delicious ideas for LC food would be welcome.

misscobi so excited for you to be rid of the 220s. It was a long time there and I'm sure you don't miss them.

Zipp no matter what you weigh I'm sure your cruise is going to be awesome, but it would be even better at 162, no?

Low carb librarian you can do it! Just stay true to what you know works and you'll be there in no time.

Good morning lovely ladies! Beautiful autumn day here…

Monica - you can totally get to 160's. You WILL. You're going to look awesome when you depart for your cruise - we're right here to keep you going.

Elise - glad to hear that you've had fun. Your siggy weight will be back soon enough. You know, I totally didn't think I was a sugar addict but I think a little part of me is one. Another part of me is also a gluten-addict (aka pasta & rice & homemade bread addict).

Lynne - it's so important to get sleep. Not only for weight loss, but for your overall physical and emotional health as well. And you know that if we get stressed it's extra hard to lose weight too! I'm so inspired by you, Elise and Monica doing JUDDD - I might venture into it sometime in the future.

Tami - I wouldn't worry about missing the goals in the last challenge. Sometimes our body rebels like naughty teenagers (along with silly scales!) and we can't help that… And I think your goal of getting under 200 is achievable. And woohoo for your 219! Well done!!

boop13 - same goal as me! I totally think we can do 15 and look awesome by the time the world ends.

Cathy - welcome! Sorry to hear about your tummy, I hope you're feeling better once you're back on track!

Librarian - well, I love Reece's during Halloween but I can make LC versions of those so I don't miss those orange packages. But even if the world ends we're all going to be healthier and smaller, I think it's worth it!

Okay, as for me… This morning I'm at 143.8! Woohoo for moving away from the 145 +/- 1 pound range! I was baking non-LC, regular sugar-laden pies and cakes this weekend for my parents' church bazaar and while I loved the smell of baking, I wasn't really tempted to eat any of them - to be honest baking that many cakes in one weekend put me off ever so slightly. And what really triggered the gross-factor was watching people eat (more like inhale - people eating far too much and too fast) the treats at the church, especially all the really overweight people who clearly was addicted to sugar. Totally reaffirmed that we've all made the right decision to be LCing and taking care of our health!

Hope you have a good start to the week!

Anna
