A quiet week so far here, so no news is good news!

Got DDnow20s tuition paid and books ordered from Amazon, saved about $70! Have a friend/tutor coming this Saturday to help DD17 finish her Geometry summer school packets so those will be done.

DD22 started her new job yesterday.....said she's going to like it.
Hard to believe she is starting her career!

DDalmost25 goes in to sign her contract tomorrow. Hoping to get into old classroom to clean out her old room this weekend and get into new room next week.

Watching men's water polo here again this morning. Laughing about yesterday's "wardrobe malfunction" happens all the time, at least it just got pulled and not torn. Most of the athletes wear two suits, she was just unlucky enough to get both pulled (or was only wearing one) same thing happened with the guys game the other day, but only the top suit got pulled down, with DS18 saying, "and that's why you ALWAYS wear 2 suits" LOL

Kaye & Cindy/MK/Debbie, best options for less expensive college books, pls/thx! I was looking at a book rental site too. That seems like it might be a good idea for gen ed classes.

I am running at 6:30. It is pretty hot but not quite as bad as it has been.

Know the Olympics outcome but will watch tonight.

Missed the wardrobe malfunction in the water polo game. Saw the US men win today.

Sarah DS21s girl friend got a job as a teaching assistant at the school DS21 went to. It is for kids with LDs who can't learn in the public school setting. The pay stinks. If she stays a year they pay $5000 a year toward continuing Ed. Her dad will pay for her Masters but wants her to be sure of what she wants to do.

Kelly - no matter where you look/buy - the most important thing to watch for is that the ISBN #'s are the same......every book has one and with text books especially, it's the most important!!!

Work today. Off the weekend but have a big race to volunteer at Sunday.

Meeting a friend to run tomorrow and then I have the day free, Hoping we can get some Isabella time.

DS21 had friends over. Wish I had a finished basement because they over take my too small family room. I need my computer to pay bills.

DH is home. He usually doesn't travel all week but had to this week.

Just popping in for a quick hi! So much to do today!

Kelly-bite your tongue! I'm so ready for school to start, I can't stand it! The kids are being super, but I'm worn out from all the good times we've been having and I'm ready for things to quiet down! I'd like to say I'm looking forward to cooler weather, too (and I am!), but that won't happen here until the end of October (if we're lucky!)

MK-so sorry I missed your birthday! To which beach did you go?

Was up at 4:15 to volunteer. DH insists on being there super early and then we wait. It was good seeing many friends out there running. I usually do this half marathon but haven't put in enough miles to do it.

Not much to do today. I have an errand or two.

I will watch the Olympics and read I guess. DH will watch the same TV show all day. He loves Big Bang Theory.

Wow... That Canadian trip went fast! Spent it all doing carpets, cleaning and I still have more to do. There's stuff I clean for guests to come (my cuz is coming from FL on labor day weekend since John is leaving for Canada again) and since I haven't seem her since we were 15 I want the house to look nice.

Debbie, he texts when they get ready to get on the plane (lands on water) and then usually when they're close to the US if bug him enough. He gets hell from his bro saying "you're on vacation... Interesting since HIS wife is with him!


Today my mom turned 85... Sounds like she had a full day, as of 6:00 my bro hadn't been over to see her. I hope he visits, if he doesn't I
gonna be MAD!

Goig to close, very tired! I didn't get to bed til 4 am cuz I had to hear about his trip. Lol. He got one heck of a sunburned ankle, I'm trying to get him to go to the doc. Only John could miss his ankle with sunscreen!!!! Lol.

Full weekend and didn't get everything done and here we go with another week again!

Working 12 hours today and Friday. Not sure why I did this to myself.

Volunteered at the race yesterday. Ran some errands. Made stir fry for dinner. Took a walk with DH. Watched Olympics.

Jenn, I don't mind Big Bang Theory but not over and over.

Kelly, I watched the Women's Water Polo win yesterday.

Kaye, when will your daughter take her road test again? I always paid for extra classes with driving school were they went over road test skills. I also had them take my first two sons to the test so they could use their little cars for parking. Kids always fail because of parking. My youngest used my Honda Civic and was fine.

I have an appt with new regular doctor tomorrow.

Not sure what else I have this week accept medical things for the half in one month. I still need 15 volunteers. The aid stations need CPR and first aid trained people. I need two more bike spotters and 5 nurses for the finish.

I also have medical boxes to organize, supplies to receive and more to buy. It is a ton of work!

Things are crazier at work, if that's possible.........I am off on Friday, thankfully.....
DDalmost25's bday is Sunday, so we are hanging out on Friday.
DD22 is coming home to to celebrate too.

My parents should be leaving here on Thursday. I am taking Thursday morning off to help get my Mom discharged. I am honestly not sure how much she will improve once she goes home - she doesn't seem that motivated to get stronger. I don't think she will drive again. We will be re-evaluating our weekend in Door County that we had planned in October - the place we rented has stairs and the weekend was going to be spent wandering around DC, so not sure if that can happen.......

Sounds like everyone is hanging in there...........Kelly - when does DS leave? MK - what about your youngest camper?

It is grey and rainy here which means I overslept! Not sure about the temps, but I doubt it's any cooler.

Lots of stuff to do as I was lazy yesterday, plus I downloaded a new book. I'd like to work on my sweater too.

My oldest DS and DDIL celebrate 2 years of marriage today. They were here Saturday.

I met my new doctor today. Fasted since I got up late and had blood drawn. Splurged on a pedicure. Bought a few groceries and came home and made chicken burgers for dinner. I cleaned out the two refrigerator drawers. My fridge is full of veggies. I need to make salads before it all goes bad.

I like the new doctors office. It was very clean. They use computer record. She listened and asked questions. I weighed 119. Would prefer 116 but I tend to be 122 so this isa good number. I measured 60 in he's tall so high holding steady.

I need to get ready to run.

Didn't do much race medical work other then emails and the are is just over a month away. I need 4 more nurses and and three on course people.

Part of my team goes in at 1:30 a.m. to flip the switch on the new online app...tomorrow will be troubleshooting, and dealing with issues - should be interesting!

MK - Mom is SUPPOSED to continue with therapy - she is not happy about it. I don't think she will drive again......and no, we won't go to DC without them - it was for them we were going, and the costs for the rental are due to it being a big festival weekend......AND they were paying.

My brother in law LOVES newsroom and recommends it, but we don't have HBO.
