Good morning, goddesses! I'm so glad you guys checked in....I was starting to get bored, talking to myself!

Kimberly Jean - Get your life in order so you can get back to chatting with me on a daily basis!

Karen - I know how it is...some days my boss is crawling my butt all day long! I just want to look at him and say, "Get away from me!!! I have LCF and FBing that I need to do!!!" LCF needs to come up with an app so we can post from our phones!

Dani - Hope you're having a better day today!

Vic - Hope your class is going well! I will definitely let you know how the chocolate bacon turns out! I'm going to make it this week-end!

Okay....I am starting to get concerned....Anna has not posted here since last Thursday, and she hasn't posted on her FB page since last Wednesday... If she doesn't show up soon I'm going to text her...when I get worried I stalk people that way!

No walk last night. Took the night off to watch Olympics.
Weather here is SO humid because of all the monsoons, it's miserable outside. Hope it clears up tonight!

Yes, for the first time I'm actually *ready* for tomorrow's weigh-in!

I would REALLY like to join this group but I follow a different plan. If you want to understand it better you can look it up, it is on LCF's. The name of the thread is what I am all about, making a better me. I would to have your company and support monthly as well as the accountability. I see some familiar faces on here and that is comforting. Looking forward to getting to know each and everyone of you better. I have tried other groups and while they are all great I don't seem to stick to them for one reason or another. I journal mostly because I believe I don't quiet fit into the forums of the plan that I follow. I am looking to be a Fabulous Me in 2012, so can you move on over and make room for me?

Hi Maggie! Great group of ladies here!


Another walk last night. Do any of you ladies use an app to track miles/speed for exercise. I've got one but I seriously don't think it tracks correctly...getting very annoying!

Losing 3.5 pounds this past week, I am bracing myself for the scale not to move for awhile. Much as that sucks, I am accepting it as the possibility that it will be my reality.

I have a friend that does a lot of running. He uses the Nike+ app. (Apparently when he logs a run, it automatically posts to his FB page because I always see it in my Newsfeed. )

Dani - I don't use one at the moment, but am on the hunt for a good one. Even if I have to buy it. If you find one, please let me know and if I do I'll let you know.

I'm using a Couch to 5k app to start jogging/walking. I am so outta shape I haven't been able to complete day 1 like I should, so there's a goal in store for me. Get through Day 1.

So we've been basically tracking for two weeks. I have some questions/suggestions to run by all of you:

It's already August, I was thinking we should have a new thread. I forgot. A new one starting tomorrow? That sound ok?

Let's write down and share some goals. yes? oh and rewards ( I love those) for let's say 4 weeks. From August 3 through Sept 1. That's the Friday before Labor Day.


Any ideas or suggestions are welcome. Just trying to think of ways to keep us all motivating/inspiring and supporting each other.

Let's see about me. I am 50 years old this year I have been married for 24 years and have 2 sons 23 & 20. I have been overweight pretty much most of life but very athletic in High School and College and it always kept my weight in check. The smallest I ever got down to was a size 8 and that was before kids. It was short lived and I have struggled with my weight since. The highest I have been is 250 lbs. and you can imagine how hard that is on me being such a shorty at 5'2. I gave LC a go in 2008 when I was sick and tired of myself but have struggled trying to keep it going. I was recently diagnosed as a Type 2 Diabetic and returnned to the LC lifestyle this year, actually January of this year and I took off 20 lbs. LCing and the rest with the Hhcg Protocol. The plan is low in carbs and calories and it certainly is not easy. I really don't want to talk too much about the plan because it can be controversal(sp?) and some do not agree with it and I am here to support and get support so I will just leave it at that. I will Low carb the rest of my life because of my diagnosis but my BS is great and life it getting better. I do Zumba classes 2 days a week, 1 water aerobic class a week as well as lots of walking. I think that about sums it up, now on to other news.

I will be weighing in next Thursday just the pounds lost or gainned(hopefully not gainned but I have been down that road before so who knows).

you will fit in very nicely!!! I'm 50 and so is Heidi. I have a hubby of 32 years and two kiddos, 22 and 31 (YIKES!!!) I lost all my weight in 2000 and promptly gained it back. These ladies will encourage you!!!
