Sounds like a great group to join!! I've been on Atkins in the past did very well lost 70 lb in 5 month,I did not cheat one time,but I had to move to va.to care for my dad 4 years ago,was very hard and stressful .so I ate and gained all the weight back,my dad passed away year ago been very stressful dealing with other family members .so last month starting having back problems got real bad a couple weeks ago.now I have a bulging disc and pinch never.so I really need to get this weight off. I have lost 10 lbs In a week .atkins..the I saw the Juddd diet so I have decide to do LC and Juddd .just start hope it works. My husband and me are both retired I'm 55 husband 63.we love fishing and camping.we have a motor home and boat.so you can see we have a good life,so I really need to lose this weight so we can enjoy our life,,,,,,,I will post here ever day.thanks you all for supporting this group...

I've lost -2.6 so far this week. Not too bad to start.


What is your biggest challenge? How you plan on tackling it?

2 things:
1. MAYOR downfall is my sweet tooth. Tackling plan: I made cream cheese muffins and jello w/whipped HWC to try to get it under control.
2. During the week, I have my plan pretty much set, but always manage to screw up on the weekend. Tackling plan: I'm going to try to get organized so I don't screw up this weekend.

I actually been measuring my inches around my belly button (seems less depressing some how lolol) I went from 44.75inches (can u say inflammation) to 38inches as of today.
that makes me wicked happy

1. Stress eating. I have stopped having a glass of wine at night. It seemed when I had a glass that I would want to eat more.

I was able to get down to 188 last year and then went back to work for the State. The stress about killed me...ended up in the hospital once because of chest pains. One good thing about that was that I found out it was JUST stress, I'm extremely healthy. but I ended up gaining everything back. IDIOT!!!
Best thing I did was to leave that job.

Thursday funny: I overheard the receptionist admit to another customer, "I haven't taken my vitamins today. I'm walking around unprotected."

The customer commiserated with her, but then added, "I haven't taken my Prozac today—everyone's walking around unprotected."

What is your biggest challenge? Not enough exercise
How you plan on tackling it? I stopped carpooling with my son. This is kind of sad, but it will enable me to get home early again and go back to running in the evening.

I will be honest, I didn't start LC. I am going away for a long weekend with Ron, and I have bought stuff to eat LC, but the past few days I have been off the charts bad.

I'm one of the shorties...All this time I thought I was 5'3"....they weighed & measured me at the Dr's office 2 weeks ago.... I'm only 5'2"! I needed that extra inch!!!

What is your biggest challenge? How you plan on tackling it? Staying away from sugar and not getting enough exercise! The sugar thing I just have to take one day at a time....heck, one hour at a time....make some LC desserts for when the cravings hit in a major way! As far as the exercise, I am going to just have to drag my lazy butt out of bed earlier in the morning and get it done!!!

UGH!!! Yesterday, Louis & I received an invitation to a family wedding (his side) on September 8th! CRAP!!! I hate being fat and having to attend family functions!!! I have 7 weeks until then...I'm shooting for a 20 lb. loss between now and then....That won't make a dent in the 75 lbs. I need to lose, but it's a goal...

I'm assuming the starting weight here is the weight we're starting for this challenge, correct?

What is your biggest challenge? How you plan on tackling it? Biggest challenge is exercise and surprisingly enough, making sure I eat enough. I plan on tackling it by just sucking it up and doing the exercise regardless of how hot it is as for food, looks like I have to log everything so I know exactly what I haven't eaten...who'd have thunk it, me, not eating enough! HILARIOUS! ......but true story... plugged in menus for a few days into ****** a few weeks back and discovered that I wasn't even reaching 1000 calories daily and not near enough fat... figure this could be why the scale doesn't move either?

I used what I weighed on Monday as my starting weight, and what I weighed today as my current weight. From now on it'll just be an every Thursday thing!

Last Thursday I was 201
Now. 194.8
Goal weight is 140
I had to take steroid for 12 days messed me up gained 10 lbs so I think that is what I lost.
