Hi, I know noone has posted for a few weeks but I would really like to join please! I started Atkins (again!) on Monday so I am on day 4. My scales are broken and I am so fed up with being obsessed with weighing I have decided not to get a new set and will just measure.

Here are my measurements from my start date which was 6th May 2013:

Bust 40"
under bust 31˝
waist 34˝
belly button 36
belly 40
hips 45
top right thigh 25˝
mid right thigh 22
above knee 16˝
calf 15
right arm 12

I'm rebooting once again after Mothers day. I will post my measurements then. I've been having ups and downs....May is full of birthdays, baby showers, etc. I'd like to say that I'm strong enough but like I said, I need to reboot. Glad you could join. I too hate the scale!

I am so happy with my one week results!

Bust 40" 39˝ (-˝)
under bust 31˝ - (no change)
waist 34˝ 32 (-2˝)
belly button 36 33 (-3!!!)
belly 40 39 (-1)
hips 45 44˝ (-˝")
top right thigh 25˝ 25 (-˝)

WTG everyone!!!!!

I've been so bad at measuring but since I started a kettlebell class 4 weeks ago wanted to start again since the scale has been going up (4 lbs so far). The inches are disappearing though

Here's my progress since the beginning of September - slowly moving but I'm mostly ok with that!

BTW - I started at 228.5 and was at 194.8 this morning only 33.7 lbs but over 40 inches!!!!

Wow 40" that's amazing!!

Sorry I didn't come back and update, I have been very busy with exams, all over now I am very pleased with the results of my low carb diet, the most significant inch loss happened in the first 2 weeks but not a week has gone past without losing at least ˝" from a place or two! I have only measured one arm, thigh, calf etc.

My results from 6th May until this previous Monday are, my total inch loss is in bold:

Bust 40" -38" -2
under bust 31˝ - 30˝" -1
waist 34˝" - 31" -3˝
Above belly button 36" - 32" -4
Belly 40" - 35" -5
hips 45" - 43" -2
top of thigh 25˝" - 24" -1˝
mid thigh 22" - 20˝" -1˝
above knee 16˝" - 16"
calf 15" - 14" -1
arm 12" - 11˝"

Something more amazing than the inch loss is that my asthma has disappeared!! This time of year airborne allergies make me wheeze all night and have a problem breathing but I have not had to use my inhalers at all! My PMT symptoms have also greatly reduced, this WOE makes me so happy

You've done an excellent job, PassionateFire! Skatz73, I know what you mean about being busy with exams. You're really losing those inches (5 in. on your waistline ) and seem to be reaping the benefits of feeling healthier.

Is it all right if I join in now? I know this thread isn't too active, but I don't weigh (haven't in six months) and only keep track of my loss via doctor's appointments. I wanted a way to keep track that hopefully wouldn't make me as crazy as the scale.

I started a couple weeks ago, but I only measure under bust and waist. Would like to start measuring other parts, as well!

Cavewoman! Feel free to join... We may get a few more people posting at the beginning of the year. Starting January, I plan on posting the first and third Sunday of each month.

That was my goal last year, but I didn't adhere...

Yep, the scales can drive you crazy with those fluctuations.
