I'm Starting 3 Day Egg Fast Today - Want to Join?

Found an old thread for this- last date was 2011 so hope this is ok to post a new one. I just found out about this and it sounds like its worth a shot. I can't seem to stop hovering at 132-133 and would like to break through
Heres the guidelines that I found on another thread by happyone who in turn got it from Beezer Lousiana's post:

Instructions:
1. Must eat eggs as the primary source of fat and protein.
2. 1 tablespoon of butter used per egg consumed.
3. I must eat an egg no later than 30 minutes after waking.
4. The egg meals ideally should be eaten every 3 hours, but not more than every 5 hours.
5. I will follow this schedule even if I'm not hungry, however I'll only have 1 egg when that happens.
6. Cheese will be permitted up to one ounce per egg.
7. A minimum of a half-dozen eggs must be consumed daily.
8. The eggs will be local pastured eggs loaded with healthy omega-3 fats and vitamin D.
9. Egg consumption will cease three hours before bedtime
10. Diet soda will be allowed up to 3 cans daily with a goal of 1 or less.

Even if nobody joins I will post my results so that others can see. I am on my TOM so not sure if that will skew any results. Weighed in the morning at 132. Had three eggs fried but forgot the butter (used olive oil spray) so will have to use some more later. Had a Hansen's Diet Creamy Root Beer. I haven't been drinking diet soda since lc but husband bought some last night and couldn't resist but I do plan to drink almost exclusively water. Wish me luck!

Egg for the day

So here is my official first egg day:

-3 eggs this morning fried in just a spray of olive oil (forgot to do butter) and a diet hansens root beer
-2 eggs scrambled in tblspn of butter
-2 hard boiled eggs with two tblspns of coconut oil/olive oil mayonnaise
-1 deviled egg

total: 8 eggs

Yesterday weighed 132
today . . . . . . . . . 131! Yay, haven't seen that weight since being on any diet for a while!

Honestly was skeptical especially bc of TOM (sorry if tmi) but down a pound today. I am not going to count on this yet bc I know we all fluctuate but man it is really good to see that number!
Here are eggs so far for today:
-2 deviled eggs
-2 eggs scrambled with 1 tblspn of coconut oil with chives, garlic, bacon bits

Will post rest of meals tonight.

2nd day of eggs and weigh in

So for my second day I ate:
-2 deviled eggs
-2 eggs fried in coconut oil with bacon, garlic, and chives
-2 eggs w/ 1.5 tblspn coconut mayo
-2 eggs scrambled w/ 1 teaspoon coconut oil/1 tspn butter
-1 hard boiled egg
-2 scrambled eggs
total: 11 eggs

started 132
next day 131
today 130.5 yay

4th day of eggs

I got busy and wasn't able to post my fourth day but weigh in was at :
129! I totally broke the 130 mark.
This weekend I was super busy and ate things I shouldn't like Atkins bars so I plan on going back to eggs this week. My goal is get a baseline with eggs and then add things in slowly to see what actually stalls me. I find that the simpler the diet the better for me, the more lee way I have the more I tend to want to cheat. So here is to more egging!

I'd love to do an egg fast if anyone else is still doing it.
I started today. I'm doing just egg and meat, maybe a little butter or CO.

Today so far

I'm looking to do this too. I don't know if I can because I need to eat some vegetables to keep from craving things. I don't think I could do eggs only. So I am going to do an egg and meat fast.

I remember eating a lot of boiled eggs when I dieted in my twenties, The thing that made me choose eggs, besides the fact that they were cheap and easy when I was a poor student, was that I read one used more calories to digest an egg than were actually present in a boiled egg. (I wouldn't guarantee that, though, without checking somewhere.) The other thing that I ate while dieting was plain boiled rice, which, in retrospect, was a pretty bad choice for an insulin-resistent person. Good luck with your egg and meat fasts! Let us know if helps you break a stall, and what your progress is.

Yeah I can't do just eggs, my stomach doesn't like if I eat too many at once.
I'm about to go boil some, will have to hide them from my kids though or they will eat them all.

I am hoping I can lose the 5 lbs I gained plus a few more. If it works I'll do another fast after a week of just low carb. I miss my salad and kale already

It's really weird how you do it here. I had to follow the instructions here
Instructions on how to add a ticker into your signature (pictures included!)

I had to do the second option, saving it to my computer, the link wouldn't work.

Basically I went to the tickerfactory, made my ticker, saved it to my computer, went here and went to my user cp, edit sig, you have to have [SIG] [/SIG] in the sig box, then go down to where it has option 1 &2, I used the option 2 box and uploaded my saved ticker, then click the upload button.

I've done 2 days, Saturday and Sunday, and feel great. I'll probably do a week.

Ok here's what I ate today. And I really need to get to the grocery to get some meat that isn't processed. I have pastrami that lists one carb per serving, so I know it has to have something in it I shouldn't be eating.

3 fried eggs
2 sausage patties

4 meatballs

2 pieces of pastrami
2 hard boiled eggs

I am craving kale and I had just bought a chunk of havarti that looks at me every time I open the fridge I'll just have a huge salad on Saturday. Hopefully I will be 5 lbs lighter by then

Oh and I got 'the' lecture today on another message board that I go to. On the obesity board I posted that I'm doing the egg and meat fast and got this reply.
'I follow your posts cus i am always rooting for you. But MEAT FAST? Like adkins? You do know that is extremely bad for your body/heart, right? It's like a pro-cancer and heart attack diet and it will hep you lose cus it makes you...sick.

Maybe you might want to try a fresh juice fast. That is actually a diet that will help stop the cancer cells if you have any forming, fix your body -nutritionally- and YOU WILL LOSE POUNDS without getting sick. '

I had even explained when I posted that I was doing an egg and meat fast and that after a week, or sooner if I felt like I needed to, I would add vegies back in.
Oh well. I know I'm doing what is right for my body.

afurrything, hehe I just posted you on the meat/egg forum. Ugh, I am soooo sorry that you got lectured, that is extremely frustrating. I wish folks would do research instead of just spouting out things they have heard. My friend is doing juice diet and is miserable! I like this way of eating because you can actually feel full and satisfied. I feel like it retrains your body and allows you to gradually add in the things that work for you and you don't have to starve yourself! I am sooo very happy that you are having such great progress, tomorrow I start again.

p.s. whats a ticker? (sorry not really up to speed on all the forum lingo)

the ticker is the countdown thing in my signature.

Ok today I'm starting to really crave salad. I might only keep this up tomorrow. But by then I'll think well I just have Thursday and Friday to get through, so I might do it the full week.
Also I'll have to get more eggs since we have about 5.

Today
2 fried eggs
4 sausage links

1 hb egg for snack

1 hb egg and 2 slices of pastrami(trying to finish this off because the kids won't eat it.

Probably the last thing I will eat today is 1/2 rib eye.

I really hope I'm down a lb tomorrow if not I'll probably eat salad.

I was afraid I'd make myself hate eggs so I "chickened" out (lol). I like eggs now, but I didn't want to overkill it. I've heard this works really well if you're weight has been stuck for a few weeks... somewhat like a meat fast.

hehe, I was afraid I'd be sick of eggs too but I was surprised to find that when I did it I wasn't tired of them at all and ended up doing an extra day! Three days went pretty fast. Just my experience and I am not the biggest lover of eggs
