1 Lb per Week Challenge
Talk about thinking small!!!
But it adds up. I am going to try for only 1 lb per week loss. But that leaves 22 lb to lose by the end of the year. And I would be happy with 13# for the rest of 2012!! Anyone welcome to join me in this challenge. I am currently trying just eating less........less carbs and less flour/sugar. Not counting at the current time, but may need to count later. Currently at 188 lbs, and planning on checking in with weight at least 1x per week. |
Today went well. Just keeping at this hoping someone will join me.

Yay, 1lb sounds pretty good to me! Slowly But surely :D
I will be counting mine and since i am one of those who has a hard time losing the last pounds, hopefully this will give me encouragement. Currently 129, and maybe in 15 weeks (eek) i will reach that goal haha!! Good luckk! |

I usually have an egg for breakfast. Yesterday I have some quinoa cooked, so put it into my scrambled egg . Then deli turkey and small chocolate ice cream for lunch.
Blew it a little last night, because we hauled hay to a friend,and ended up at Hardees, cause only thing open on way home. So had a diet Dr Pepper and 1/3 burger with cheese, but gave DH my fries. |
Its alright.
I've been obsessing myself with a cookie cake i saw a WEEK ago at the mall, and i feel as my cravings are too intense. I may give in, but i am hoping not too! I went down 1lb!!!! :D But i ate a lot...... Breakfast: 2 eggs, 2 pc Bacon, 3 tiny bell peppers stuffed with Cream cheese, pepperoni slices with mozarella cheese, & 3 raw mushrooms.. I didn't eat lunch or dinner. I just kept on nibbling on salami, 1 small bell pepper w/ cream cheese (that stuff is so good) and pork rinds. MM, that chocolate ice scream sounds good!!! |

I have been on plan for 10 days (with Sunday slightly off-plan) and down to 187.
It took me 2 months to get seriously on-plan (and a 3 lb increase). Now I am going for 1# per week until Xmas. That would be 10 lbs by year end. And I would be extremely happy if that were the case. Actually, I will post a 175 goal for year-end. |
I have got to swear off SF drinks, or at least not sip them all day long. That is the journey for the rest of the month. I have been on-plan 6 days per week for two weeks, which lately is a record-setter. But I have gotten back on SF drinks all day long, because they say no-carb. I should have known better......

Thanks Karen for starting this thread. One pound a week is a good goal. I'd luv to join you all :shake: I use to weigh daily, and would like to change to weighing weekly. Down .5, but can't take it yet, because went up 1 lb on Tuesday, and not back down yet.
Swearing off coffee and pop for a week, to see results. I am a sipper, and that doesn't bode well, evidently, in my weight loss life (I am not as active as I used to be) May have to modify behavior to match activity level. Too much time sitting behind a desk, instead of outside working (farm) |

Forget Tuesday, don't even think about it! Just take that .5 loss, and run with it, and DON'T LOOK BACK :jumpjoy: Somedays we're up, and somedays we're down. For me, I can't give up my coffee w/cream. I have limited myself to three cups@day. I should give it up, because I have high BP. But mornings aren't the same without a hot cup of java to relax and start the day with.... Now the pops were hard to give up when I first started. I didn't eliminate them all at once, I just cut them down to drinking one a day, then I switched to Crystal Light Peach Mango Ice Tea, the label use to say for metabolism. I don't know if it still does. Now I drink water instead. I try to drink a 12 oz glass each hour to get my daily requirement in. Sometimes its really hard to do. But it keeps me full and not wanting to eat :up: And then there are days, I get tired of water, and I'll brew my own Ice Tea sweetened with liquid stevia.....with sliced fresh lemons added, and sip on that all day long. Exercise :mad: I keep trying to get into exercise, and I only last for a few days. But what does work for me, is after breakfast, and after dinner, is to walk for 15-20 minutes after each. Its made a difference, but I really need weight training for my muscles, and to firm up....I don't know why I fight myself over just doing it! Its like going to gym class for me :mad: |

And my excercise usually lasts about 3 days....but going out to do horse chores is my brief activity (and mental refresh) |
