1 week challenge/5-7lbs?

Hello all-Anyone interested in committing to do a 1 week induction challenge with me/starting in the a.m.........really needing some support and want to do this with others. I am in a wedding in 3 weeks but really want to do a hardcore LC induction diet atleast for the first week-have to get the bathing suit on in 1 week. Leave it to me to leave it to the last minute-just one more ice cream treat has been my theme almost everyday for the past few weeks. Lets go!!! Anyone in?? Thanks!

Maybe this will jumpstart me back to losing - which I see as winning !

Been bad since 4th of July and my birthday on the 5th. Party today and I'll try to behave. Had eggwhites for breakfast and a few cucumber spears.

Been trying to lose since December - check my stats - done pretty well so far.

Well you are doing better than me! I'm too annoyed with my scale this morning to post my weight - let's just say it's not what my stats show at the moment! So if I get to your current 143 weight by the end of the week, I'll be doing awesome! Too much partying and so hot here - it must be water weight

I'll try to be very good today - but I will be eating hard crabs today - they are low carb ! What's your plan?

Let's behave together!

It probably is alot of water weight.....if you are anything like me I thrive on salt Anyway I like my eggs and cheese-and trying to do some raw veggies like broccoli and celery. I eat almonds to but have a feeling that there are too many carbs so I need back down. Will weigh in again tomorrow! Good Luck!

So I'm at 147.4 this morning. Much better than the weekend weight .

We picked out the crabs and made crabcakes. I did not put mine on a bun and had tomato/cucumbers as my side dish with a little ranch drizzled over.
Very yummy! Ate cucumbers and tomato throughout the day to stay sane.
I'm a salt lover too! Had Salt & Pepper Pork Rinds and a 14 calorie/4 carb/1 gram fiber yogurt/sherbert popsicle thingy as a treat last night (Philly Swirl Sweet Delites).

I'm hoping for a positive day today with control in the food to mouth department. Will have the left over crabcakes for dinner.

144 today....arg, I am going the wrong way! Going to try harder today! So far I had some almonds-tuna and salad for lunch-cheese as a snack, how did you do?

I'll join you! Just finishing up my first day of induction. I'd like to be 145 by the 15th!
I can do it because like you all mentioned I am retaining water from all the carbs and salt blech!

Nice to see you jeaniem !

I think I did pretty well today - tomato & cucumber salad w/ranch, veggie burger, dinner was 2 crabcakes (no bun) and another salad. Just had a popsicle thingy and I hope I don't get the munchies later !

Will post my weight in the AM.

Weight at 147.2 this morning - I was at 149 on Sunday ! So I'm pleased with my progress !

Jean - You are not too far from me! Just a few counties! I bet it's cooler up there! We so need some rain - so dry !

147.4 today - need to reduce the calories I guess to get that number to change! Snack attack last night! But I thought I chose good snack - I guess too much of "a good thing" is the problem !

Down 2lbs. today and feeling so much better~less bloat and more energy.

It's still hot and dry here just not as bad as it was!

I was 142 yesterday but have been on a 24hr sugar binge.....TOM came today, can I use that as an excuse? Thinking about calorie counting, what do you girls think? How about 1200 a day? Hopefully I can pull myself away from the sugar again-I have been running alot so that may save me?! Find out when I am brave enough to weigh in again.

Down another pound today for me, but it is only Day 4 back on track so I expect it to slow down any day now.

I try not to count calories unless I find I am not losing. It makes me obsessive and resentful Have you been able to lose without doing so, aside from the sugar binge?

147.2 this AM

Amy - your sugar binge has probably made you feel so weak...I have been trying to concentrate on eating more lean protein - chicken breast, tuna, egg whites or veggie burgers to get the weight loss started again. When I'm in the kitchen looking for something, I just repeat in my head "protein, protein, protein". It makes me stop the "mindless" hand to mouth activity !

I am also researching The Dukane diet - a little like Atkins, but less fat.

145.5-thought I was suppose to go the other way? Try, try again.....wish there was more specific choices for like a 2 week induction. Seems like if I have any free rein at all I am much more likely to break the plan. If I have to eat the same things gor 2 weeks I could do better. Ideas on induction choices-thanks. Amy

I am eating beef, chicken,pork,eggs and small amounts of veggies. I also have protein shakes made with coconut/almond milk, protein powder, mct oil, spinach and a couple of strawberries. Hardly any cheese and a couple tablespoons of lite cream in my coffee.

Not an Atkins induction, but very low in carbs.

So....I was 149 last Sunday and today it's 146.4.......

not a 5-7 pound loss...but a loss nonetheless

Today I was 141.8...huh-God is surely working his magic. Yes-lets keep posting, I am down to 2 weeks b/4 I have a big wedding of my sister-in-law and want to look my best. 2 week induction/really am motivated to do this. Crunch time. Hate to make a specific goal but here goes. 133-is this do-able? Good job you guys, you are very helpful, lets see what the next 2 weeks bring. THANKS!

YES! Let's keep going !!! I'm back to my current siggy weight of 145.8 today! Did lots of heavy duty yard work Sat & Sunday ! It really helped me drop the pounds!

ok-I am holding at 141.5...thought it was a fluke but so far so good. I think I am starting ketosis also because my mouth is dry and my 8 y/o daughter says my breath smells like waffles which I promise I have not had. My sugar cravings seem to be under control. How r u both doing?
