frankly, I would rather be Bette Midler too!

I was in love with her before I even knew what she looked like. Of course then i would be madly in love with myself. what's my point? FF

Hey, my Blitz friends....in all seriousness, I hope we continue our Blitz's together. I know we are down to just the 4 of us on a regular basis, but I consider you my friends and I need you!

You all inspire me daily to keep the faith and strive to reach the goals I have set for myself.

You are also a fun bunch and I love ya!

So, let's stay together, ok?

I'm with you Marilee! You all mean so much to me too. You all get my day started laughing and pumped up! Let's keep on keeping on!!

Running out of time before work and still have some house touching up to do.

Will report back tomorrow on how the dinner and get together went. Son in law is already in Hartford for his meeting there today.

Have a wonderful Friday all!

Hey, Summer....don't let the door hit you in the rear end on the way out!

Thank goodness it's Fall starting tomorrow. My favorite season.

Nothing new to report....things are status quo. I'll check in later.

hey guys, you ain't gettin rid of me...if you have any doubt, hear this: there were times a couple of years ago, before ff had a computer at home, when we were down to pretty much him and me - and i still posted daily - sometimes i would talk to myself for a couple of days...haha!

i need this outlet for support - i have not gotten to goal, but i would not still be halfway there without you guys...i have no doubt where i'd be and i don't even want to think about it...

abi, hope you have a great day at work, and a great supper with the sil...i know how much y'all like ham - do you put pineapple on it?...when is he leaving?...

marilee, we have two parties to attend - one on your patio and one at my cottage...i am so so so sure that all of us are gonna achieve great losses OVER the holidays and by the first of the year and then make great strides to our goals in 2013...that "13" is gonna be an unlucky year for FAT!...

ff, you got message
:-)

btw, i was up a lb. to 218.8 this week...why isn't this easier?...

time to grab some water, which raises the question: can you grab water?...

Hi, ff....actually it gets cool - in the heart of winter we can dip into the 30's overnight with frost warnings so we have to cover our plants. It doesn't last long. Depending upon the winter we are usually in the 50's, 60's and 70's depending upon the month. It's very nice.

I'd love to meet you and you are welcome to visit any time.

i have been scratching my head thinking about how i could have GAINED this week, and i am wondering if it might be muscle-weight gain...i am exercising every day and working out on leg weight machines at PT and i can feel my atrophied muscles getting bigger...my PT sessions are now 1 hour and 20 minutes long...hmmm...that reasoning is making me feel better... :-)

marilee, oh - we're coming out there, girl...it's not "if", it's "when"...haha!

Watch out Mr. Universe. Tony is after you!

There are so many variables for weight gain. We just have to roll with it. I am up 3 pounds and I've been on plan. There is no reason for it except water, hormones and who knows what all. I just know it will go down. My body feels differently....not so lumpy and feeling "thinner" (It's all relative).

Just keep on trucking.

I need to drink more water so I'm going to go get some right now? Anybody want to join me??????

one thing about a new Blitz, is that it causes me to re-think

and re-direct my efforts. I would like to shrink down seriously by the time i retire. It is possible. if i could feel comfortable, and stay the same, of course i WOULD stay the same. It is no longer about beautification (I had my chance). Now i just want to be able to walk with no resistance at all and have plenty of energy. FF

No pressure, but how about a picture of ff, Abi and Tony? Sorry, Tony, your eye isn't enough.

Well, I am not even thinking about weighing for a day or two and I have no one to blame but myself. I am my own worst enemy. But I feel motivated today to get back on my plan ( whatever that is ) it changes hourly.

Ham dinner was delicious and two more people showed up than expected. I was so pleased because I knew sil wanted to see them too. Tony, we do put cloves and pineapple on the ham and the smell walking in after work was so good. We had a great time even though it will be way too short. Sil will leave early this morning and drive all the way to Rockville, Maryland to visit his mother and some brothers and then fly back to Missouri around 3 tomorrow. He will be exhausted I'm afraid. His Dad is buried at Arlington National Cemetary so he will want to squeeze a stop there too. I'm tired just thinking about it.

Tony, I have read over and over that putting on extra muscle definately puts on added weight. At this point maybe do a waist measurement and use that as your losing guide for awhile?

FF, yea for Fall! I hope you will celebrate with a trip to 5 guys! Feeling good is my goal too. Eating junk this week, I can definately tell the difference. Feeling sluggish and sort of head achy is not enjoyable.

Marilee, if I ever get back to my Facebook picture weight I will post my pic. I take awful pictures but that one the light was just right and it flatters me some. So I'm back on the wagon and will try to get back to my goal weight on the next blitz!

Will check back in later and post a pic from last night. I took the pic so don't be looking for me.

Good mornining!

Nice picture, Abi.

I understand about wanting to wait until our goals are reached...that's why you only see a picture of my head. It's the only thing "normal" on my body.

Nothing special happening this weekend. Just the usual chores, church, etc.

Right now I'm waiting for the tile floors in the kitchen to dry. I hate tile...it's so hard to keep clean, especiall with cats who throw up periodically.

Have a great day everyone!

Hey Marilee! I am doing some cleaning and mopping today too. My kitchen floor is white linoleum and it shows everything - esp. black dog hair.

My cats throw up too and it is usually on the carpet. I have tried different kinds of cat food esp. look for ones that don't have the different colored nuggets. The food coloring stains the carpet.

If I ever get rich I am going to live in a barn with old barn floors for all my animals and a huge fenced in field to let the dog run free. lol

My tile is white, too and who ever installed it didn't have the grout sealed. Pain in the hind end.

Once I am petless, which will probably be 6 years from now, I'm having the tile and carpeting removed. Not sure what kind of flooring I will lay down - probably wood.

Better get back to it.

Hello Everyone,
I haven't read all your back posts to see what is happening with everyone, but hope it would be okay to join the group. Sorry I dropped out of things, but I have had such a crazy summer and some health issues which are resolved and fine, but stressful. Anyways, I have gained weight and need to get it off and you are all so supportive! I know this Blitz is almost over--but I'm motivated and ready to get serious about my weight problem. So I'll be checking in...
Bye for now, Jenny

great pic, abs!...your hubby and sil look like father and son!...

well, marilee and abs, you gals just reinforced my decision NOT to keep animals in the house!...lol...

wonder if ff paid homage to 5 guys yet?...

had a good day...made steak tips and chicken for my youngest and 5 of his friends before taking them to an amusement park for the afternoon...then had leftovers tonight...

i am so so sore - can hardly walk and my good leg is almost as bad as my bad leg...i had to take friday and saturday off from exercise, but i will push myself to do both regimens tomorrow and then i have PT on monday...

i was supposed to fly to nashville on tuesday for the week, but was not able to set up studio time so i think i will delay the trip and just hope i can get it in before i go under the knife...

hope y'all had a great day today...abs, enjoy the 3 scrambled eggs in the a.m....

Hi Jenny! Glad to have you back with us! Our group was getting pretty sparse!

Tony, I plan on enjoying my 3 scrambled eggs this morning. lol CC will close the end of Oct. so need to make th e most of it! So sorry that both legs were hurting so bad yesterday. Hope they feel better today. I agree that dh and sil could pass for father and son. It's that Irish heritage I think.

Marilee, If I had my choice of floors I would have dark hard wood. Every time I see a room on hgtv that has them I perk up and take notice. Love that look with white walls and tan furniture.

FF, how is your weekend going?

Have been looking at the pork rind recipe thread and getting some ideas.

Hope you all have a great day.

hey sis, you know you will always be a part of this group, whether you are here or not...of course, i like it better when you are here! :-) but even when you are not here i think about ya...two years ago, when i was ready to give up, you helped get me through it and i'll never forget that...sorry to hear you weren't feeling well this summer, but happy you feel better now...hang in with us, kid...

i never really worry about the size of this group - it gets bigger and smaller from time to time - that's just life - but we are like the little train that believed it could make it up the hill!...and we're all gonna get there!

sheesh, abi, there is almost no way to beat you on here in the morning!...i may have to borrow 'bama...lol...

not much new to report since last night, unless you want to hear about my dreams!...haha!

skipped breakfast and threw chicken halves on the grill for lunch and will nibble on leftovers for dinner...

my son and i may go to see a horror movie tonight at 7:20 - the house at the end of the street - he is studying for a test right now and we'll see how he feels at 7 and decide whether or not to go...

i bought a car for him this morning - he will be 17 in december and is about to get his license although he has been driving with us for over a year...this will motivate him to go and take the test...haha!...he will work to earn it, and of course it will be in my name for some time, but i did this with all my kids - if they work hard at school, get good grades, do the right things, they have the use of a car during high school that they can then take to college and it becomes theirs over time...

anyway, it is a 2004 subaru outback with 143,000 miles but it is in great shape - a vermont car with no rust - and has been gone through mechanically front to back...he never asks for anything and didn't ask for a car either - he is just such a nice boy and i wanted to do this for him before i went in for surgery...so, we will pick it up tuesday when he gets out of school...

so that is the big news of the day!...hope y'all are having a great sunday...

sure, abs...does this mean you're gonna start mowing "our" lawn now?...

come on marilee, you know the answer to that question!...i'll give you some hints: it's black, might scratch a wood floor and wakes you up at 2:35 a.m. every day...

we didn't make it to the movies tonight...vincent had more studying to do for his history test...so, now we have our movie to look forward to another night! :-)
