Crazy Nasty Honey Badgers Getting Tough/3rd quarter
OK, the crazy nasty honey badger 3rd quarter will be starting here with Tiggy in charge of the new excel spreadsheets. Weigh in days will still be Mondays, if you are in check in here, so you can be added to the spreadsheet!!!!
Tig wants us to think of our 13 week goals, OMG I would love to say to lose 20 pounds but I have some doubt about that---so maybe to get to 195 firmly planted below 200 would make me jump for joy!!!!! This should get me through the 3 trips and all the Sept birthdays. Of course continuing to challenge myself with exercise is always high on the list of goals for myself. I might train to do the obstacle race by the Fall, we will see how the tummy is feeling.

Marking my spot right now!
Goal??? I never set them but I will just cause you Badgers asked me to... Want to stay at a firm 161-164 I can never stay the same weight & always bounce around 3 pounds. Now to lower that variable. OK so I did it! NEXT!!!!! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...0VaOGM2am1UZHc Last edited by iamfaithful; 06-27-2012 at 05:44 PM.. |

Don't worry cathy, I didn't make a new sheet, I just kinda added a new sheet to that workbook so we can easily look at least quarters results if we wanted (and I am lazy to make a new one). Soo its the same link.
Happy to help amber! Feel free to transpose people's weights into there still since my time zone sometimes isn't overly helpful for that. But I will keep an eye out as well. I like your non weight goals. I think where you are in the process non weight goals are the best for ya darlin since that scale has been a bit unfriendly due to everything going on in life. Ok so my goals: To lose 17.6 lbs to bring me to a nice 245. This is very ambitious for me since I am a lb a week kinda gal, but why not right! I will also continue to eat LC, and using the IF window approach. Get good sleep (playing on the internet researching whatever has taken my fancy is NOT a good excuse), and continue to do the mental work to get my brain to accept exercise is more pleasure than pain. Since I don't have any travel plans for until August (have a mass village bali hindu style cremation party to go to), I have a good solid month of forward progress. June was a great month for me lose wise (8lbs gone) and I want july to be just as, or more successful! Today the scale is the same as yesterday. Ate outside my IF window and a bit late and heavy food so I suspect tomorow I will see a new number. Clawing my way to 259.8 so I am on the second half of this 140lb weight loss.

I'm glad somebody else asked the question. Otherwise I would be on the other thread all "hello? Is any body here?"
Sad, but true.Ok, so I'm trying to figure out my goals as I write. 13 weeks..... I have been wanting to average 3.2 pounds a week..... 13 x 3.2 = 41.6 pounds. Ummm..... That sounds astronomical and next to impossible. I think I'll do it. Or at least not die trying .My starting weight last Monday was 250.4. So that would make my goal weight 208.8 in 13 weeks. Wow, I would be one hot mamma gettin my sexy on. Wait a minute, that's me now! ![]() Just kidding..... For now!Yeah, I know I'm nuts with crazy and perhaps unattainable goals. But hey, you never know unless you try, right?

At the beach WITH FAMILY this week and eating bad stuff like there's no tomorrow. I'll never lose weight staying around extended family 24/7. Hope the damage isn't too bad when I weigh at home Sunday AM.
Goals: 1. Work on triceps and biceps to have less wiggly arms. 2. Get in the 170's and STAY there. Janice |

Still on my crazy modified fat fast and still losing like crazy. At least a pound a day sometimes 2 pounds. Hit 240 this morning. So it is probably going to be an avocado with blue cheese dressing - again!
I kinda want to go ahead and switch back to regular atkins so I can have some MEAT but at the same time, it's real hard to quit this when it is working so well! I keep thinking it will slow down. |

Cara...those results are crazy! Congrats!!
I haven't decided what to make for dinner. I bought some tri tip at Costco but my grill is out of propane and it just isn't the same cooked in the oven lol. Last night I made DH and I mushroom cream sauce to go over our hamburger patties and it was really good. |

I may not weigh in weekly like everyone else does, because I am really trying to get out of the mindset of a specific weight. I just want to tone up, firm up. The #'s don't matter to me anymore. I will be coming back here to check in sometimes and see how everyone is doing, and to let you guys know about my progress. I do not have a way to take measurements yet, but I think that is how I'm going to be tracking my progress from now on. I want to start eating cleaner and get off the atkins bars and shakes crutch, along with cutting out artificial sweeteners. I want to try to keep it under 2 packets a day, and eventually get rid of it altogether. Geez! I have so many things I want to start doing haha.. I guess I will have to gather my thoughts some more before I post what my goals and plans are. Oh well! I hope everyone is getting motivated, and embracing their inner honey badger!

Hi gals, everyones dinners sounds yummy. Mine last night was a rare treat of imported french emmental cheese (very excited the western store has that now!!), and some beef stew stuff. I bought half an orange melon and might have some of that today as a treat. Oh ya and got my hair cut and changed to red as a nice treat.
Scale is still taunting me at 261.4 but thats fine. Whatever. Did a post in the main lobby showing my face progress pics. BIG difference! I am hungry today, usually a good sign for tomorow. Cara - great stuff on that fat fast. When you re-add meat be prepared for a scale jump - just ask amber hehe. Once you add some weight back into your intestines the scale tends to reflect that. Perhaps a transition with meat and egg might work to get back on regular LC? Hiya melanie, those sewing tape measures are cheap and easy to find and are great for measuring for progress. Great goals! Janice - yup I agree with faith in that you don't gain fat that fast in a week, but you will regain water and perhaps a lb or so of flab. Once you get on plan for a week it will drop quickly. When I travel I know the scale will be about 8-10lbs higher than when I left but it will go. |

YAY, I am back! It feels like I've been gone forever, (since last fall?). I have had tons of dental work and been on and off plan since March. Everything is all healed up now and I'm back on plan for good. My goal is to get my butt out of the 160's! I've been stuck since Christmas. Last year I thought for sure I would be at goal by now but my weight loss stalled around Christmas and didn't budge an ounce until I had oral surgery in March. I couldn't even chew lettuce and gave into eating soft carby foods. Once I was healed I would eat back on plan then another surgery happened and would eat soft foods again. I lost 3 months to losing and regaining the same 5-6 pounds.
I'm glad to be part of a challenge again. Look forward to reading and sharing with everyone!

Thanks Amber, I have put in my high weight and (sob) January weight. I had to spend a lot of time with my parents this year (mum had congestive heart failure over the holidays) and when I was home dh was working in London Monday to Friday so I really did go off the rails at weekends. I was very strict with diet and LOTS of exercise last year... and keeping up that much exercise really isn't going to happen for the rest of my life. (I was pretty unbearable any day when I couldn’t do get my 90 minutes in). I suppose as much as anything else I'm trying to find a lifestyle I can maintain! But I keep looking at my two-sizes-smaller jeans and desperately wanting to wear them again.
I'm in my mid-50s so definitely not one of the younger ones here. I now have all this fat around my waist which was NEVER one of the places I gained most. While I’d like to see the scale get back to 140 again, I’d be happy to settle a bit higher if I could still wear those jeans LOL! Artificial sweeteners are something I could do with getting rid of too. I’ve come to depend on them (and coffee) far too much. In part I use them to disguise the taste of the coconut oil I’ve started using... there’s nothing I hated more than the taste/smell of coconut but it DOES seem to keep me happy with less food. I think there’s a place in the UK that does the refined version but for now I’m stuck with the organic virgin stuff. I did find one that was slightly milder so that part is good. Many of you I recognise from the journals, I’ve followed (lurked?) Tiggy’s adventures for quite a while and began to read journals when I’m in need of motivation, so I’m delighted to join the Honey Badgers! Now that I’ve procrastinated long enough it’s off to the elliptical for me. |

Im glad I jumped over to the old site today or Monday I'd have been confused
Today I'm 175.4. That's only 5 up from pre-vacation....so I hope to be back to 170.4 next week --TOM anyday & that's gonna play on my fluid loss right now too. (all excuses listed heehee) Ok. So in 13 weeks. I would like to hit my dukan true weight by then 154. That would be 21.4 lbs from today. So I'm shoot for that. Which means from Monday's weight it would be 29.6 |

Well, I jinxed myself...this was the first day I have not seen a loss, but it's actually a good thing because I was getting sooooo tired of fat! lol Today I am having MEAT! Yay! lol And it's been a really good downwards run. So hopefully now my metabolism is recharged a bit and we can keep going down!
You don't know how excited I am about meat today! lol |

Happy Friday BAHB's, I'm IN!!
Goal? Hmm, get to the low 190s. Keep up the exercise, etc, etc.. I know where I falter and why I do (pre-dinner snacking especially if ticked off at something or stressed) so I must fill that time and stay out of the kitchen! Looks like we are all loadin' our guns and getting our heads screwed on straight to be focused for this challenge, so let's get 'er done! CAMMIE, hey girl! Good to see you on this challenge, missed ya! Boss worked the room yesterday afternoon handing out ice cream bars and ice cream sandwichs and I politely declined, YAY, a BATTLE WON FOR ME! Well, taking next week off and staying local. I have lots of morning zumba classes planned and then afternoon sessions at the gym and how about a few walks along the beach. DH is working (except for the 4th). Food will be planned and prepped just as I do for workdays. I hope to make some headway to the 190s! Have a good one everyone! Nancy |
