Thank you! Whatever was nibbling at me seems to pass. I may allow myself an extra Coke Zero and call it a "treat"

How are you Tami? Is Son home now?

Good morning, everyone!!

Brewstate, I hear you on the pants size! I'm saying, how the heck did I lose a pants size after an UD? I'll take it, I'm not complaining!!

Bronwyn, did we ever think we'd be the kind of people who would struggle to get all our calories in on an UD? How weird is that?? It sounds like you're doing great.

JC, you can have the whoosh fairy OR the dish fairy, take your pick, but not both on the same day.

Zipp, is VBS proving to be the WOE challenge you anticipated? It sounds like you're doing good, though...

Me - I'm adjusting to JUDDD, and for the most part it's great. I never struggle on DDs (yet!).

I'm finding UDs to be a mental challenge, though. Making myself eat more than I "want", in order to get all my UD calories in, leads easily to me eating 1) past satiation or or 2) for the wrong reasons, i.e. entertainment.

Any more experienced JUDDDers have thoughts on that? Should I take it to the JUDDD boards?

Lynne

The Coke Zero sounds like a nice compromise

I'm an emotional wreck and tired of feeling this way, but basically ok. Thanks for asking Son will be home next Tuesday... totally and completely irritated with him today. Don't know if it's more me or more him. If he'd respond to my call or text perhaps I could figure it out! Argh! lol

Lynne - do you spread out your calories? I tend to start the day with a good base breakfast of 400(ish) calories. Throw in a mid morning snack too !! I know a lot of people "save" their calories for huge means, but I tend to not do that. Now I do try to eat sensibly B/L and snack, but then allow for my largest meal at dinner. Then if I have extra, I have a glass of wine or something. Does that make sense?

I'm probably no help Lynn since I got used to eating so decadantly on strict LC (fatty steaks, butter, cream etc) realizing just HOW many calories a day I was eating has been mindblowing for me and I'm having to cut back even on Up days. Now I've had to rethink the way I eat to including lower calorie but still low carb. Up days I usually can plow through my calories earlier in the day if I don't watch it so I usually skip breakfast and eat later on since I'm not a natural breakfast eater anyway.

If you want to not feel too indulgent or try to force calories that you don't want to eat try adding things like an extra tbsp of butter or coconut oil to you lunch, an extra serving of salad dressing etc. I find a lot of people sneak extra calories into their food and don't even really notice it. Remember though, that the Up Day is 2 fold. One it replenishes our bodies from the famine of the Down Day and two it allows us to not feel so deprived and have a little hedonistic fun so it doesn't even feel like a diet. Its a hard mindset to get but both UD and DD are essential in the weight loss process. So if you want something, enjoy it. You won't get it tomorrow

Up a little from my woosh, but bounces are just what my body does. I'm still working out. I worked out before breakfast for 60 minutes on my elliptical. Same as Wednesday, and Tuesday. Not as much as my 120 minutes on Monday. I really should not do that.

I over carbed a little bit yesterday. All legal, just a big high.

I hope I meet my goal for tomorrow. But if not, I'll just keep on keeping on.

Yes, I had to spread out my calories, too. I couldn't eat 2000 calories at once without falling into a food coma.

But after a decent sized breakfast, I'm not really hungry for lunch. If I wait to eat until I'm actually hungry...it's the next morning, and DD. Oops.

So...

...enter the lc ice cream, which I've always, always got room for! Since I ate it when I wasn't really hungry, and I've got all these calories to get in before the end of the day, well...3 cups of lc ice cream should take care of that!

Brewstate, that's a good idea as well. Fat raises calories quick! Interesting discovery you made on yourself and your calorie intake with JUDDD - who knew? I guess my challenge is knowing when to stop when a number, rather than hunger, is the driver. Too many years of bad karma piled up!

I'm measuring everything these days. I may have to get rid of the lc ice cream again until I want 1/2 cup instead of 3 cups.

I'm coming off 3 straight months of "fast five" IF-ing with NO lc ice cream, so maybe this is just an adjustment period and will pass...?

Lynne

P.S. Not really 3 cups, but more like 3 servings, 1/2 c each.

Happy Thursday Y'all!

It is hot hot hot and I am looking forward to a weekend of Lifetime and AC , lol.

230.8 this morning! I feel like I have been stuck in the 230s FOREVER, and although I am still living there, I am optimistic it will not be for long.

It seems like everyone is doing great!

Melissa-congrats on the loss. You are kicking butt on that elliptical!

Misscobi-You are right on my tail, I better keep moving or you may pass right by me.

I'm logging in from my phone again... So much easier than hooking up the laptop tonite. I'm feeling lazy. I'm impressed with the dedication of the ladies working out! Its inspiring me to get my butt in gear! I've worked thru my lunch all week at work cause we are short staffed, and its been quite draining. But I made it to the gym again yesterday, and I am back down to 210.4 today! So I am hoping to see the scale keep on moving down!

Elyse~ Thats awesome that your 14's are getting loose!!!

Went to ZUMBA tonight after missing a week. It was so great!!! My legs are a little sore already. I'm turning into an old lady. Drank a lot of water today and my rings are so loose. I was 197.2 this am, from 199.2. I saw 193.4 once. I thought what... and of course got back on and it said 197. I will take a 2 lb whoosh!!! I was able to fit into an old size 14 shorts today. WOO HOO!!!! A little tight, but not unbearable. Give me a week and they will fit good.

Sounds like we are all doing well. I did struggle yesterday but I did not indulge. Today is an up day so all is well in the world now!

VBS wraps up tonight and I am so ready. It just wipes me out to be up so late each night. We get up at 4:45 a.m. to get in our 3.1 mile walk each morning. *yawn* It has been fun though. Next week, I won't k now what to do with my spare time, but then again, it's a Holiday week, so that will tweak things in a whole other way!

Plans for the weekend ladies?

I didn't eat as well as I should have yesterday and indulged in too much alcohol so I'm going to have a nice clean day of eating today. Since its so hot we are headed to the splash park to hang out and I find keeping busy always makes eating less easier!

Wow, 197, Melanie! You are going to fly past me soon, slow down lady

Boop and Outofseason both of you are soooo close to the next decade. I'm sure you'll be rewarded with a little woosh soon

Happy Friday ladies!!! Sounds like everyone is just trucking along & doing well! Melanie, I love the new pic and the new low! I finally got on the scale this morning, TOM is starting to wrap up his visit, but the scale isn't showing me that yet! Still 235. Going to chug the water & eat really basic today. Have had a few dinners out this week and while they seemed totally legal & legit you never know I guess.

Good morning everybody!

First of all, Melanie, what a beautiful picture!! Wow!!

Outofseason, Boop13, come on new decade!! You're just about there. Maybe this morning the scale will say good things...come on, come on...

Brew, Who knows, yesterday's indulgence might be just the thing to make the whoosh fairy stop by. Stranger things have happened.

Monica, at least you'll get more sleep next week, that's always a good thing! I am in awe of everybody's workout schedule. Must bow to peer pressure and get off my behind.

Plans for the weekend: keeping out of the tourists' way - they're usually drunk and/or lost, no matter what time of the day it is.

Lynne

P.S. 176 this morning. Two more pounds down!! This can't possibly last, can it?

I'm now officially 100 pounds down from my highest publicly recorded weight (doctors office, almost 20 years ago). Thanks for sharing this moment with me.

New Decade!!! 209.4 today!
Btw forgot to tell u last night in my post, that my hubby came home yesterday with a giftbag for me, I read the card and it is to congratulate me on my 35lb lost... In the giftbag was a bag of shredded broccoli and a jar of mayo so I could make my broccolislaw, he said he knew I wouldn't eat chocolates, and I already have flowers in the house.

Gosh, so many congratulations to give out - wish I had more time.

Yesterday was DD and ate exactly 499 calories! Scale said 222.5 this morning...grrr

Today is UP and need to get in as close to 2014 as I can! Drinking 1.5 liters a day and trying to keep up with the exercise. I must be building muscle weight because I do so some body changes from all the exercise and my clothes are fitting better. I just need to stay off the stupid scale and keep going!

Have a great weekend if I don't 'see' you before Monday!

Boop how nice of your DH!

Bronwyn - I stay away from the scale. I weigh once a week, that is all!

Tami - give the scale a rest for a couple days, then I am sure you will see a change. Eating out is never a good option. Even if you stay on plan, I think restaurants HIDE hidden sugars/carbs/whatever in stuff to make it taste better and cause you to eat more! We rarely eat out. With my Celiac, It is just easier to eat at home.

2-28: 246.6
6-29: 245.6

My goal was to get to 244.4 today. It did not happen, but I"m fine with it. I'm thinking that my real weight is a bit lower because of "potty timing" if you know what I mean . I know I'm not the only one who has weighed before and after going potty! So I'll just say I'm probably more like in the 244. something.

Busy day today. I need to get the house cleaned up and ready to install new floors tomorrow. I've been living with sub flooring in my kitchen, dining room, living room, and hallway for over a month. I had a fight with the carpet on my stairs and I won, so there is no carpet there either. A couple weeks ago my DS3 pooped on the stairs, then as soon as I got that cleaned up the dog pooped on the stairs. I got a pick ax out of the garage (I'm such a girl, I thought it was called a sledge hammer ) and pried up all the carpet on the stairs and tossed it all on the front porch. That felt soooo good.

My house has been in a state of remodel for so long, getting floors will rock. The floor in the hallway has actually been sub flooring for well over a year! I need to also go around and do a bunch of touch up paint on the walls today too. Maybe I should actually get off my but and get some of this stuff done instead of typing about it. Maybe.

Woo Hoo Boop and Lynn! New decade and new low!!

Today has been a "not eat much day" and stressful to say the least so I really want to reach for food but I'm trying to hold myself off. I keep looking at the clock thinking its later than it is but its not

Anyway, this morning my just turned 4 year old was chewing some gum for about 30 minutes and I noticed it smell weird... anyway, it turned out to be some OLD nicorete from when my MIL was quitting smoking and he had found 3 more bubble packs that he hadn't opened. I looked it up and of course its highly deadly in large amounts and I freaked out. He was rolling around the floor moaning and looked white. Finally he threw up everywhere and started running around normally again. Had him checked out and everything is fine but man oh man I want to eat right now. What does that tell you about emotional eating?

Elise, oh my! I'm soooo glad DS is going to be ok. I don't think anybody would blame you for being emotional, that's alot to take in for shock value! Proud of you for not giving in tho!

Lynne, misscobi, boop,Melissa, on your losses! You all are awesome!!!!!

Zipp2play, I am contemplating starting my day that early to workout. It's worth it, no? Something about gettin out of the way with no excuses to derail is what is getting me there. I get too many reasons not to do it and it never happens

Ladies, you all keep on keepin on you're all doing soooooo well!!!!

Me? Scale's back up AGAIN to 244 but TOM made an early appearance so yeah, figure that's got ALOT to do with it.. still p.o.'s me to no end.

6 days until vacation!

Seeing Magic Mike tonight.

Have a great weekend everyone!!!!

I'm now officially 100 pounds down from my highest publicly recorded weight (doctors office, almost 20 years ago). Thanks for sharing this moment with me.

Congrats!!

In the giftbag was a bag of shredded broccoli and a jar of mayo so I could make my broccolislaw, he said he knew I wouldn't eat chocolates, and I already have flowers in the house.

Wow, 197, Melanie! You are going to fly past me soon, slow down lady

Boop and Outofseason both of you are soooo close to the next decade. I'm sure you'll be rewarded with a little woosh soon

I finally got on the scale this morning, TOM is starting to wrap up his visit, but the scale isn't showing me that yet! Still 235. Going to chug the water & eat really basic today. Have had a few dinners out this week and while they seemed totally legal & legit you never know I guess.
Aww, thanks. I know what you mean about eating out. You never know what hidden carbs are in things. Chug that water and the whoosh fairy will be there!!!

Keep it up and the scale will catch up.

My goal was to get to 244.4 today. It did not happen, but I"m fine with it. I'm thinking that my real weight is a bit lower because of "potty timing" if you know what I mean . I know I'm not the only one who has weighed before and after going potty! So I'll just say I'm probably more like in the 244. something.

You are doing awesome and getting close to that goal!!! Way to go. You don't have to far to go!!! As for all your little projects.... Get up and Just Do It!!!

Hello girls. I am just now getting a chance to get on here. I was up early this morning to watch my cousins kids. Then we went swimming. There is a heat index out it wasn't terrible though. It was really nice in the pool. We just had to wear our shoes to the pool because the grass and pavement was so HOT!!!

I was 196.4 this morning. WOO HOO!!! Not much going on this weekend. DH just brought home salads!! woo hoo, saw him walk in the door with them and I got a huge smile!!!
