I'm up but I'm down from yesterday... So nothing really to report here. Trying to get my water in, but this week I find myself forcing it. Usually I drink it without a problem.

WOE: Doing my own LC (currently less than 20/day)...
Start Date: July 2012
Hello ladies!

Long time no post... Sorry. But I'm still around and on plan!

My weight's been at 148.x for 7 days. Apparently from about a few weeks ago my body decided that it won't jump up and down so much, instead just remain still at one number until it decides to lose some weight. Once that happens then I see a smaller number on the scale. Oh well, now I "think" I know...

Bodies are such weird things, huh? It definitely keeps me on my toes, I'm constantly learning new things. I find that now I lose about 1 pound per week, on a good week. Sometimes I go for a bit longer without losing but I'm learning to breathe and drink lots of water rather than getting frustrated at myself. And I keep looking at my weight chart that shows a downwards slope, which means LC is totally working for me and reminds my brain that I should just keep calm and carry on. And I can eat steak (with butter) for dinner, unlike being on any other diet.

But now I can fit into a small sized cardigan from H&M! Woot! Also size 10 dress from Banana Republic fit me nicely. Non scale victories are totally awesome. I just wish I had more money to go shopping for new clothes!

Autumn's coming up soon! Let's keep it up!!

Anna

Boop - has the weather turned chilly for you? Is that why water is tougher this week?

Anna - Nonscale victories are great. Oh and if you find that money tree, share it with me PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

Hey Ladies!

Gosh It is September already! Hope everyone had a great LONG weekend! We packed up Thursday and headed to the coast for a mini vacation. I totally needed it. Best news, I didn't gain any weight!

We are getting so close to Autumn! I don't think I will make 199, but I am still happy with my progress.

NSV- I put on a pair of pants that I haven't worn since my son was in kindergarden(he is in 5th grade now). My smallest work scrubs are now very loose on me. Not sure if this is a true victory because now I have to buy new scrubs.

Hope everyone has a great weekend, so happy to be almost there!

Anna banana (republic ), what a great point - "unlike being on any other diet". When your weight is going DOWN while you're eating delicious stuff, that's what I call a GREAT diet.

I wish I had more money to go shopping for clothes, too. I know I'd be rockin some cute fashions right now.

Zipp, You are younger than me, old lady. And I still get carded occasionally.

Outofseason, I totally hear you about the mixed blessing of your clothes getting loose...but now you have to get new clothes. That's my week, too.

Brew, hope the MIL visit goes well, and thank goodness for cooler temperatures, huh?

The weirdest thing happens in my town when it gets hot in the summer. I guess it's not really weird, it's just coastal/bay weather behavior.

There is a long central valley in Oregon that runs parallel to the coast that's maybe a hundred miles inland. It gets really hot there in the summer. And when that happens, it pulls the cold air off the ocean, and my town gets really cold! We're sort of freezing all summer. It seems like the hotter it is in the valley, the colder it is here in Lincoln City. (Like San Francisco, where the heat of Sacramento pulls the cold air off the ocean so SF is always chilly in the summer.)

So now in the fall, as the weather cools down inland, it seems to warm up a little out here.

Rock on, ladies!! Sept. 22 is right around the corner!!

Lynne

P.S. In other news: My scale says 170 and means it. It's less 170 than it was last DD, more like 169.5, but not quite. After going out for Italian food last night, the scale is not likely to say nice things tomorrow morning. But you never know.

OUT - great news about your vacation weekend. OH and scrubs being too big is GREAT no matter the need for them to be replaced!

Lynne - I do NOT get carded at all, unless it happens to be a place that cards everyone!

Today we are ordering in lunch for my birthday at work. I am planning on chicken fajitas with no tortillas, instead I will eat chips! Tonight we have a KState Alumni picnic to go to. I am so thankful for JUDDD!

Look at all of you GO! Anna, into the 140's wow. That's a personal dream of mine.

Lynne, look at you flying downward. Soon the idea of 170 will be in the past. I still see 170 or 171 on my scale occassional mid day and I hope soon to banish the number completely. I NEVER want to see it again

Zipp

Outofseason, its great when you *get* to buy new clothes. Its not nearly as fun when you *have* to buy them, especially for a cheapskate like me

Still hanging in here. With all the travelling and visiting I'm happy with just holding right now. I was looking back at my daily weight tracking and its absolutely insane. I lose weight right before TOM then gain most of it back then drop a little lower after then go back up around ovulation and for the rest of the month, then like clock work at the end of the month I drop off about 4-5 pounds in rapid succession. I wouldn't call it a pattern if I hadn't seen it repeat itself so often.

Do any of you guys have the same type stuff or am I just weird?

I just realized it might not have been Zipp whose birthday it was and if so I apologize. I really shouldn't be forced to think in the morning

Monica - hope you've had a good birthday lunch at work. Hmmm, chips - there is definitely an advantage to being on JUDDD! And of course, happy belated birthday!!

outofseason - you need the money tree for the new clothes too, eh? Me too!!

Lynne - woohoo on the 170!!! Yet another new decade - how awesome!

Elise - hang in there! I think it's great achievement if your weight stays steady when you're travelling. And talking about our bodies.. I don't lose before and at the beginning of TOM. So along with horrid PMS symptoms I also get to grumble about the lack of weight loss. But you lose a lot at the end of the month, which is great!

As for me, I'm still at 148.6, no movement at all. Whatever - maybe my scale's gone on strike.

Let'e keep going!! 15 more days to go! I'd like the whoosh fairy to visit me tonight, please.

Anna

P.S. Anyone coming up with the winter challenge? Challenges are such a great way to keep ourselves in check…

OUT - hang in there! That scale will move!

Yesterday was a good day. Calories were a bit high, but not too terrible! It's a down day now and I am starving already. GRRRR I have cheese sticks, may need to grab one. Thus far my water is doing nothing for my tummy!

Announcement!!

Scale said 169 this morning.

That is all.

Also, I'm on board for another challenge. How about an 'end of the world as we know it' challenge to 12/21?

Perverse sense of humor, I know.

Yikes! I've fallen behind... missed you guys yesterday!

Anna, you're doing so well! Love those NSV's!

Monica, absolutely just a number

OutofSeason, WooHoo for going on vacaction & not gaining and for fitting into those pants! Nice!!! There's no way I'm making my 199 goal either... I used to lose really quickly... now not so much. Overall it's really ok, but I need to learn to be a bit more realistic setting goals given this new sloooower trend!

Lynne, as you mentioned we have the same weather phenomenon here in CA, only I'm in the valley, so can't WAIT for that 'delta breeze' to come rolling in after a few hot days Glad you're getting a bit of warmth. I grew up on the coast so know both sides of this delima well

Elise, I can't seem to find any rhyme or reason to my weight loss, or lack thereof, as of late. lol. Sounds like you're still getting a decent loss each month, though. I'd take it

Anna, I would love to do a winter challenge... anyone else? I feel like I've gotten to know you guys and am really looking forward to celebrating with each of you as you reach your goals.

I got to do a little happy dance in the bathroom this morning as the scale finally decided to budge a bit. Down 2 to 222

Yay Lynne and Tami!! Way to go!!

This morning my scale said 147.3! Woohoo! I hope it stays, though… My scale hasn't been moved to the naughty corner...yet.

I'd love to do a winter challenge with all of you again as I feel like I know you guys through LCF - at least in terms of LC and taking care of ourselves. We support each other well, don't we? I'm not very good at rhyming myself so can't come up with a super-catchy title off the top of my head but how about we come up with one for Sep 22-Dec 20?

Have a great weekend!

I love the idea of a winter challenge. "Its the end of the world as we know it" or something like that (I have a perverse sense of humor too )

WTG Anna you are just getting lower and lower

Hang in there boop, at least your back to siggy weight!

Yay Lynn, such an important milestone, and lower and lower we go.

Today is my son's birthday and I was going to have basically a free day and enjoy cake etc then the dang scale had to go and say 165 after sitting at 168 for several days. Now I feel like I need to rein it in so I can see another low Oh well...

How's it going guys? Haven't been on the computer lately as I'm in the midst of company overload but doing fairly well. My hardest part is having to cook and clean for all these people and then trying not to eat all the wonderful food I made. Its been pretty tough I can tell you.

My son's birthday was pretty good although I maxed out with my calories and carbs way to early in the day so I ended up staying home when they went out for the birthday dinner (we had cake etc at home). I was a bit on the side anyway so it didn't hurt. I was rewarded nicely with a loss the next day and another one this morning so I can't complain. 164.6 this morning.

Hope everyone else is skating through nicely today

End of the world as we know it Winter Challenge! I love it! I guess we can start a new thread on Sep 22…

Elise - hope your son's birthday was full of joy and laughter! And kids eating lots of cake (for all of us)! Way to go with 164.6 (but sorry about feeling a bit sick)!

boop13 - you'll get to 180's soon!

Tami, Monica & Lynne - how are you guys doing?

I'm at 145.8 for two days! Shall I claim this as my mini-goal #5 or shall I wait until I get down to 145.0?

Hope your week's started off well!

Anna

Elise... sorry you missed b-day dinner, but at least you were rewarded well! WTG!

Yep you'll be there in no time flat, Boop!

Anna... omg... I can't even imagine 145. Claim it girl!

TOM snuck up on me a little early yesterday and I didn't get on the scale this morning... figured what's the point lol, but was at siggy weight yesterday morning and have been eating on plan, so hopefully tom will take a few pounds with him when he leaves!
