Lynne - pre-pre-maintenance sounds good. We all have think about maintaining our fabulous losses, so it's never too early to mentally prepare for that. I mean, I think maintaining is a whole different ball game compared to losing. You've got to know what sort of ups and downs you're prepared to accept (i.e. the normal +/- some pounds, especially for us ladies) and when to tackle small gains in order to keep the goal weight, etc… And well done for the loss too!

As for me, I'm at 151.5 this morning. I was at 151.0 yesterday, but of course there's the usual bounce back after a new low. Anyways, I'm hoping that this is the sign that my scale is back to its nice mode and will cooperate with me...?

Anyways, I didn't change anything, my body just decided that it's about time to lose a little bit and it did. So 10 days of bouncing around wasn't in vain! So for anyone experiencing a "mini-pause" or a bouncing scale like me - don't change anything, hang in there! We'll all get there in our own time, we certainly didn't gain the weight overnight in the first place, right?

Hmm, NSV - I've got a few...
1: really great skin. I don't know what it is - I have mild ezcema and adult acne (oh god, I do), but they're both in control and my facial skin is looking very good these days. I had some hair loss from just before I started LC but I think it's getting better, or maybe it's my imagination?
2: loose/big clothes. Although this means I need some new clothes which I can't really afford on no job. But seriously, clothes are falling off me and I just look like I'm wearing sacks.
3: feeling great in general. Lots of energy during the day, sleeping well. Now if only I can find the motivation to get to a gym to get rid of my tummy and bat wings, that'd be an awesome bonus!
4: no more eating a huge amount of carbs - this was definitely a problem for me, as I can eat a lot of food (and still can, I just don't) and I can't rely on feeling "fullness". But now that I'm measuring everything, and not eating carbs or sugar, I'm feeling so much better after meals. No more crazy bloated stomach. I can definitely see why people say that carbs and sugar isn't good for you!

Okay, enough from me today...

Forgot to mention, tomorrow is DATE NIGHT over night with hubby. Our sitter from the summer was available for a sleepover so I jumped at it. We are going to the Country Club Plaza area in KC, eating at Capital Grill and spend the night at Sheraton's. I think my parents are meeting us for dinner. There will be wine and talking, laughing and FOOD! Then back to the hotel for WHATEVER COMES TO MIND !

I weighed in today, same as I was WEEKS ago! I have mentally decided that I will hit it hard again after labor day weekend. I guess maintaining till then would be great. I have not had that many truly DOWN days lately. They have been more like 900 - 1000 calories. That being said, that is an easy number to use for maintenance.

Well I can't say I wasn't disapointed this morning when I stepped on the scale!!!! I went to Zumba and really sweated and thought for sure I would be down atleast 1 or 2 lbs since I am in ketosis now. Nope I was only down .2 oz's!!!!! WTH!!!!! Oh well, going to keep plugging along and hope I see new numbers this weekend.

Just not fair You're muscles are probably holding onto some water, though. I bet you'll see a nice loss by Monday.

Good morning everyone! Sorry I've been MIA. My son spilled a drink all over my keyboard and I had to wait to get one shipped in 3 day express. FINALLY, i'm back!

Everyone seems to be doing great. So close boop!

How frustrating Zipp, although 1000 calories sounds pretty dang enjoyable and it may not be fast, but you'll get there.

What great NSV's Anna! It really goes to show that the weight loss is great but there are so many more awesome things about LC that make it a great way to eat.

Melanie, probably lots of water retention from the muscle so I'm sure you'll see a new number soon, plus the exercise is going to make you look much better in the long run.

Lynne, I totally get what you are saying. I'm much more comfortable in my skin that I have been in a long time but I want to stay motivated because I've still got a lot of pudge even though its noticably reduced however its getting hard when I look in the mirror and can honestly say, "you look pretty good"

NSV's, let's see... I needed to run outside early to get my trash out and found a pair of 11 juniors shorts that my neighbor gave me (obscenely too short) anyway I threw them on knowing they wouldn't fit but they buttoned and zipped. Now I'm sure they looked awful, but with a long t-shirt it was passable.

My MIL who I haven't seen in about 60 lbs is coming for a visit in mid-september so my mini goal is to get well into the 160's by the time I see her. I was 169.8 this morning so I really need to get in gear. Had a great 400 calorie DD tomorrow and I'm keeping the wine and carbs in check so hopefully I'll have great news to report soon.

YAY on the 160's. Keep at it and you will be where you want to be.

I am also getting to the point that I am liking how I look and don't want to get comfortable here. Stepping the working out and keeping it clean!!!!

I was down .4 lbs today for a flat 191 and 70 lbs lost total!!!!! I am officially just overweight and not obese!!!! Now to get away from the 90's. I have been here way too long!!!!

Ok. I'm back again... So I had a dentist apnt this morning, wasn't hungry so only had a coffee with hwc before I went... Came home and jaw hurts too much to eat lunch. And I randomly decide to weigh myself just now... And I'm 195.4!!! I'm claiming it! 50lbs lost!

Anna- Thanks for all the encouragement for bootcamp! It was tough, but an awesome experience! It also got me back into the habit of getting up for 530 workouts!

Lynne- Have you bought a Hula Hoop yet? Make sure you buy an adult one, the bigger the hoop, the easier it is to get around and around!

Hope that everyone had a fab weekend! We went back to school last week, and between that and three nights a week of football practice, we have been crazy! I'm sure all on here understand, and are probably going through the same thing. What I want to know is, how do you manage to eat right? I rarely get dinner before 830. And the other night, I scraped our the insides of an Arby's sandwich...

I did manage to make it to the Y four mornings last week. I hope that helps

Awesome! I have had an Iphone for 5 years now and I LOVE THEM! I am only on my 2nd one. They simply last forever! My hubby has one and my son too!

70 pounds is a lot not to be carrying around these days!! More than my 8 year old weighs, and I can hardly pick him up anymore.

Zipp, Misscobi, I'm feeling the same right now about the lack of movement on the scale. I second what Misscobi says - eventually it won't have any choice but to budge; and also what Ms. Banana says - don't change anything, hang in there.

Me... not much to report. I'm doing the JUDDD rotations perfectly, and have not bought any more lc ice cream lately. The scale is still glued to 173-175.

I've been working hard lately that's why I don't get here much. I'll try to do better.

It's the last week of summer vacation here!! I'm kind of looking forward to back to school, it's my favorite time of the year.

Out - for me, it is planning! We don't have football anymore, but my Daughter does softball for a large chunk of the year. We plan, pack and bring stuff with us everywhere. #1 reason cost, #2 reason I prefer to control the food I eat. It is nothing for us to pack a cooler ALL THE TIME! Cheese, sausage, string cheese, veggies, deli ham, all that stuff are mainstays at our house! This summer I ate a ton of that type of stuff!
