So awesome bron that's a good amount of water and probably not all of it. Like I always like to remember there is a large range of daily calories that still keeps you in weight loss mode so even if you need to go up to 700 or 800 calories on a really hungry day you can. In fact, I think shaking things up a bit like that really helps the process.
Thanks for your support Zipp, we are so close I can taste it. I bet your next weigh in will put your down. I weighed this morning and was at 170.6 so I'm bouncing all over the place but the bounces are getting lower so I'm not complaining. I was so busy yesterday I didn't get a chance to eat until 5:30 but wasn't hungry, then I ate (pretty much raw veggies and some lunch meat) and holy moly I got starving around 8. So I think that has taught me a nice lesson in leave well enough alone ![]() Boop, sounds like a nice evening with co-workers. Sorry your son was sick though, I'm surprised you didn't get a call. My DH watches the kids but would be on the phone in a second if anyone started puking or bleeding ![]()

Aw, Boop. Hope the kiddo is better this morning!
Bronwyn, congrats on getting that first day back under your belt! A couple more days and all of those cravings will be gone. Awesome quick drop, too! I love when that happens! It really is a great mental boost! Elise, still soooo close to that magical 169. Any day now I was still at 226 this morning... good to be back at my previous low for a couple of days, but ready to move on now |

Elise - I don't plan to weigh this week. Holding off for next week I think. The scale and I are not typically friends and I don't want the numbers to make me feel bad, which can SOMETIMES make me eat! KWIM?
Tami - you will be moving down I know it! Yesterday was a perfect Up day! I ate at 1850c and that is the low end of my range! Good for me! ![]() |

Elise - Oh, he did call withing minutes of the first round... but said there was nothing I could do, he even took him to the doctors on his own! When I got home they were both a mess, but the hubby had handled it well!
I am up today, I know last night indulging didn't help... but then TOM decided to show up today to top things off... Little one woke up like nothing had ever happened, so that is good news, however the husband now has been sick since he got home from work. Hoping I don't get it, because I have an interview tomorrow afternoon... going to go to bed nice and early and hope I avoid it!

Husband's are champs aren't they boop? Its amazing how kids can be sick and then the next thing you know they are running around like the little energetic munchkins we are used to. I have 3 and its crazy, but I wouldn't change it for the world. Anyway, no point in this post other to say good luck with your interview!
Zipp, I'm chewing my fingernails for you here (can you tell?) I really hope you make it to the 160's before me and we'll both throw a party! Personally, its been a LONG time since I've seen that number.Last edited by brewstate; 08-15-2012 at 06:25 PM.. |

Boop - how are you feeling today??? That is the worst part of the tummy bug, it seems to leave NO ONE alone!
Tami - how are you doing??? Is all right in your world??? Elise - I didn't weigh this morning. I was afraid the weekend crumbs might still be hanging on. I will weigh in next week on Wednesday. Don't chew those fingernails girl.....you will be there, I JUST KNOW IT! Do you weigh daily? Yesterday was a good DD. I was right at 550c. Planning to keep today on the lower end of my UD calories too. Tomorrow will be interesting. We are taking the kids to the movies .... my plan is to just have Coke Zero! Leave the food/popcorn and such all alone!

![]() ![]() WooHoo!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() Aw, Monica, thanks for asking. All's well here. It's always interesting with 18 & 20 year old boys in the house. They're great kids for the most part, but you just never know what weird thing is going to pop up! Diet is going well. TOM arrived yesterday, so up just a tad from siggy weight. No big deal... just kind of plugging along. |

LOL Well you heard the wisdom teeth experience... he's healing nicely. How about the 18 year old and his buddies deciding to skateboard down a HUGE hill in the dark a couple of days ago? One smart(er) (it's relative) kid sat on his board. That would not be my kid. The other two stood up and rode down, one on a penny board (tiny little thing) and my son on his long board. Both of the kids standing up biffed it bad and were lucky to have not cracked their skulls open. My son has serious road rash on both elbows, shoulder, both knees and his ribs are sore. The other boy, who we've known most of his life, has the same sort of road rash and a broken hand. Fun fun fun... they do keep life interesting I guess. lol

Oh, soooo much to catch up on...
![]() outofseason - bootcamp?!?! Holy, I'm so impressed that you survived! There are groups that do it in the park near my house too and they look deadly (to me anyways). Melanie & Tami - as long as you're not gaining, it's a good thing. Well done ladies! ![]() Monica - woohoo! Down 3.6! Awesome! ![]() Lynne - so good to hear that your son's doing better now. Bronwyn - I'm glad to hear that you've dropped the pesky water weight so soon! That's great! ![]() Elise - woohoo!!! Congratulations on 160's!!! ![]() ![]() PeacefulGuide - you've almost convinced me to do the 30 day shred. It sounds like it really does work! But painful, I'm sure… I don't know if I can stick with the whole 30 days, though. Maybe I should try a shorter exercise plan before jumping into the deep end? Congrats for completing it, though! That's an amazing feat. ![]() boop13 - good luck with your interview! I'm 152.5 - of course my body couldn't just do a whoosh. But I'm sure I'll continue to lose, even slowly, so I'm staying positive here. I keep looking at the weight graph that I have stuck to my wall and the trend is most definitely DOWN - and I ignore the little ups and downs along the way.Have a great day!! Anna

Hi, everyone!!
Brew, about returning to your more "in control LC roots"...me too. I'm learning, learning, learning what works and doesn't work for me on JUDDD. We're figuring it out, and all this research is going to pay big dividends in the future. We'll keep the weight off forever this time, I know it. Welcome to skinny!! Congratulations on breaking the 160's!! ![]() ![]() ![]() Boop, good luck on your interview, and hope you're not sick like the rest of the family... ![]() Zipp, you're next!! 169.x, here you come!!! Party time!! ![]() ![]() Misscobi, OMG. Boys. It's a wonder any of us get through their teens without a full head of gray hair. I know mine is turning gray already.Anna, I love your signature!! It really does tell the story of the downward trend. Bronwyn, the hard part is past! You're right back in the saddle now!! Me... My scale is insisting on saying 175, but my measuring tape and my pants are telling me delightful new things. My skinny jeans are just the slightest bit BAGGY this morning...even without totally banishing the lc ice cream (trying fairly successfully to keep it to 1 serving a day. )Lynne P.S. I need exercise. Peace, Outofseason, come drag me off the sofa!!

Lynne - gotta love being smaller, no matter what the scale says.
Wicked headache today. I have taken 2 Excedrins that haven't touched the dang thing. I did just eat lunch and that seemed to help it a bit. |

Yay! Bronwyn you'll probably fly right past 219!
Tami, why do you tell me these things I have 2 precocious little boys who are just chomping at the bit to kill themselves already. I can't wait for 18![]() Zipp, my husband acts less like a teenager and more like a 5 year old, in fact he just had me order him a remote control helicopter "for the kids" (yeah right) and needs a 500 dollar mountain bike so he can go play with his friends (I can almost hear the whine, "please mom!") ... they never change, right? Still trucking along here. I have to take my middle child in for immunizations so I will probably get some frozen yogurt or some such treat for him today and don't know if I can keep from indulging. We'll see.... |

Yesterday was a good UP DAY for me, right at 1850c. We had crock pot lasagna made with ground turkey, spinach, zucc, sauce and cheese. Everyone lapped it up. The kids didn't even notice the spinach or zucc. We will be adding this in more often! We ate the entire thing!!!!!! It's a DD for me. Tonight will be tough as we are going to the movies. Thankfully the kids are seeing a different movie. DH and I will probably just have Coke Zero!
Elise - indeed, MEN tend to stay children their whole lives! Is it an UP DAY? If not, I have figured in FROYO on a DD before! |

Elise & Monica, raising my boys has been the most rewarding thing ever... they really do scare the beejeebus out of me occasionally, though. I took them to the bmx track once, magazine in hand, thinking I'd relax and read in the bleachers while they rode their bikes... um, no... sat there nervous as heck planning the fastest route to the emergency room! They were fine & daddy took them after that. There's some things us mom's just don't need to know! lol And men really don't change... living with three in various states of maturity is interesting!
Great job on those up days, girls! Yay Bron... down down down you go! I was hopeful this morning, but nada... still waiting for uncle Tom to leave the building, tho... |

Elise, what's your email. I will send it to you! You can PM it to me!
Tami - it will move again as TOM exits. Stay true to it gril! Enjoy your weekend ladies. DH informed me he is having popcorn tonight. I will skip dinner so I can have some too. I hate butter on it so that helps a bunch! |

Hey Guys!
Thanks everybody! I really need to get back into reading each and every message because I feel bad not responding personally. DH and I struggle for power over the computer all the time, so I seem to dash on and off without writing a whole lot. It's an up day in JUDDD and probably ate all my calories before noon. We had a retirement party for a co-worker and we all ate like little piggies! I tried to calculate best I could to total 1876 but I'm going to call it 2000 calories to be on the safe side. Too bad, too, because a glass of wine would sure be nice right now! Maybe I can get up early in the morning and type more. |
