Home from my run. Much cooler after the big storms yesterday.

I have errands to do. DH showing new race directors our storage facility otherwise known as the club house. I need to do medical supply inventory so I am going. We have surprise 40th birthday party at 5:30. I need card and gift.

Jenn, June is busy for you. I find birthday parties stressful I always had them at places. Never at home. I don't have a good party house.

Kelly, almost graduation day there.

MK, do you have one kiddo home this summer??

Cindy, your daughter is home. Does that mean extra cooking and shopping? Lots of good sales lately.

Kaye, I really miss it when you aren't here. Please pop in more.

Becky, no excuses for you!!!! I know Facebook and games suck up time. I spend too much time there myself.

I will go through Internet withdrawal in Israel. I am renting a cell phone and I don't know if it can get internet. I did pay extra for data plan. I guess I will see when it comes. I will miss my IPhone.

Morning-

Yesterday was senior breakfast, senior pool party, powder puff pep rally/BBQ/game...
I had extra boys in and out all day. (3 teenage boys for lunch=3 large pizzas) They seemed to have a good end of the school year. DH and the boys found a "retro" video game store and have been buying old games, including an old atari system, and the extra boys are loving all the stuff from the 80's and 90's.

Kaye, I hope you had a happy B-day this week! Love the coup and the fact that your other animals are hanging out with the chicks. I don't think Gray Puffball would snuggle in with the chicks, but would instead see them as a quick and easy snack.
Hope you are able to get DD through the end of the year with passing grades. So frustrating!

Jenn, sounds like you are busy. Don't forget to take a breathe and take care of you in the chaos too.

MK, you are brave to clean out your DH's stuff! I'm the pack rat though, so here, his stuff is nice and neat, mine, not so much.

Debbie, June 10th is just around the corner. I'm sure you will have a great trip, but I would definitely need a list at this point.

Becky, what's up with you all this weekend?

Cindy, I'm with you hoping June is a little slower than May was.

Oh, almost forgot, decided I didn't have anything to wear to graduation and I needed a new dress. We have 2 new boutiques in town and a third that moved and now is a little easier to pop into, so I took a little time Thursday to check out one of our new little shops on the off chance I could find a dress. Not only did I find a dress, the problem was which one to buy AND their prices were reasonable!!!! Of course, the one I liked best would have had to be altered and I was afraid I couldn't get it back in time. (it was too big in the shoulders and that made it gap in front) The one I bought will be easier to dress down and wear casually anyway, so I will get a lot more wear out of it. (I'll try to remember to take a pic with DS18 on grad night and post it)

Oh my, it's always such a busy time of year and should plan better! End of school, graduations, weddings, vacations. I always forget how many commitments there are and how expensive it can be with gifts and such!

Excited about your trip Deb, you and your mom will have so much fun! I'll bet you'll be able to find an 'internet cafe' here and there to connect to the world while there.

Cindy, Girls still keeping you busy even out of school! At least the spring orientations at your work are done!

MK, we're sprucing up here as DHs mom's memorial service is later this month and have some family staying here. Rented a steam cleaner yesterday and did the living room carpets and furniture. It was all pretty dirty!
Which Sherlock Holmes? The RDJ movie or the new series?

Kelly, sounds like you have DSs graduation stuff all together. And found a dress! I've tried twice in the last two years to find an appropriate dress to wear to a wedding, went so many places, gave up and just wore my 'little black dress' again. It was frustrating to find something simple yet age appropriate. A near impossible task and glad you hit gold!

Jenn, It doesn't seem to matter what age your kids are and this time of year is overwhelming. The physical, emotional and financial responsibilities add up fast! I've slept 14 hours out of the last 24 because I was just worn out!

Hellos to Becky, Ange and any other 'need to check in' Shorties!

Off to work for a short Sunday route today, and then my mechanic has graciously allowed me to come today to put a new air conditioning compressor on my car that suddenly started making horrible noises. He's super busy too but is letting me take his 'hide behind locked doors/closed Sunday' when he does catch up work while closed so no customers can wander in and add more work (like me! LOL).

Must go get dressed and out the door.
Hugs all around!

Popping in!

Camping is done! Padraic is officially a Webelo II and Henry is officially a Wolf. Whew!

Next up, Rhonda's birthday party. She wants it at the skating rink. Room and time are reserved, we have plates, cups, and napkins. Just need birthday cake, gifts, and goodie bags.

8 days of school left. House is a wreck. Haven't gotten my mojo back since I went on vacation. lol. I want to go back and just cruise Duval street and relax all day!

Played racquet ball for an hour and half. Now need to get some things cleaned up and get supper started (steaks on the grill).

I've not been eating or sleeping real well. Not sure if it's the decision I'm wrestling with, pre-menopause (which I'm fairly certain I've started), or a combination.

Cindy-I go for my toes only and try and do my nails at home. Went to ULTA the other day and OPI had a Spiderman line out. I was very excited! lol!

Kelly-so glad you were able to find a dress!

Debbie-Enjoy your trip! I think you will have a fantastic time!

Kaye-good luck getting your AC fixed!

MK-sounds like you had a busy Saturday!

*hugs* all around!

Still find it funny that we have like 8 posts and many, many more views.
Who's spying on us?

Glad to see Kaye and Jenn popping in!
We miss you ladies!

Jenn - I don't miss the birthday party days!

Long day ahead - in for 9 and have to work Instant App night - which goes till 7. Decided to skip step. I will be rushing ALL.DAY. if I go with all that is going on, so need at least a calm lunch hour to get out of the office.

Lots of stuff changing here in a month with all the collective bargaining units done on June 30 - which means me too.......our lunch hours are changing and some folks aren't happy.....long story short, if we want an hour, we have to extend our day by a half hour. No thinking about it for me - I like my hour to run errands, take a class, meet a friend.....some of my team mates are whining about it.

I hope Scott Walker is recalled tomorrow - I am so tired of this big divide in the state that has been going on since January of 11. He is a crook. (And that's just my opinion. )

Hope everyone had a good weekend - most plants planted, and some weeding done yesterday....also got about 3 more epi's in of Mad Men.

I think I need to take a day off.............

Ugh, Cindy! Sounds like a long day for you!

I had a pretty good weekend. Lots to do today, of course! I've been watching Dollhouse on Netflix. What a very weird show. I'm not surprised it only lasted two seasons. It's interesting, but confusing!

busy with work and getting ready for trip. working 8 hours today.

I am lucky I get any break and we get 30 minutes even if we work 12 and a half hours we get paid for 12. 8 hour shifts are 8.5 paid for 8. If I am lucky I get relieved for a break. If I don't I try to put in for the extra 30 minutes but you need to charge nurse to sign and some aren't so nice about it or leave before I do and not there to sign.

I do want Walker to lose too!!!! I am fearful of this next election as I am a die hard democrat. Enough about Politics. Just hope Walker loses. It may come down to the fact he has out spent his competitor big time.( so I hear on the radio and TV)

Jenn, with little kids it never slows down for you.I want to hear more about your trip. My DH loves Key West.

I better go. I am off tomorrow but need to bring my car in. I work 4 hours Wednesday and 8 Friday and then I am off for 16 days!!!!!!!!!

Morning!

I've already been to the grocery store and i'm ready to leave for the gym.

DH is on a business trip all week, but he left me with a list today of things i need to get for DS23's new car and what we need to sell the old one.

If I never surface again, send in the troops!

Cindy - I was going to plant this weekend ~ and then it got cold! So hopefully on the agenda (with everything else) today!

Sometimes you need a break after a full weekend!

Jenn - I remember loving Dollhouse! Is it by Joss Whedon?

Debbie - you definitely have a tough job! EVERYTHING you do matters immensely! The rest of us can just push some paper around for 30 minutes and someone's world won't collapse! I admire you!!

BBL!

Debbie - you are right - Walker has outspent Barrett by millions - he has big, out of state money behind him. It is very unfortunate. Every vote will count and I am afraid it will come down to a recount. I get so angry when I see him and/or his Lt Governor on tv.....she is a clown in my opinion.

I am going to literally be ill if he does not get ousted.

Today is the day.
My BP is already rising!

Long day yesterday, another today.....
There are not enough hours in the day.
Supposed to go to a training on how our new performance reviews will be done (once collective bargaining expires on June 30).
That's just not possible - and really - not a priority right now!

Beautiful weather this week!
DD's are good - DD24 is done this week - Friday her last day - I think she is off a week and then starts at the college on the 18th. She is applying to a couple more public school positions for next year, so keeping my fingers crossed. DD22 started her online class - she wants to be done and said she just does not feel like doing it. I said just do it and get it don! SHEESH!

That's all from here.....off to work out, vote, drop some stuff off at my alteration lady, then to work - oh and I have an eye exam during my lunchhour today!!!!

Bringing my car in at 9 and have to wait there.

Wish I could come vote there Cindy.

My DS29 leaves for Salt Lake City to grade AP Government exams Early Saturday. He really has more school here as it goes another week but they let him off. I think he uses vacation. He is trying to get a job doing schedules for fall at his school over the summer. If it doesn't come through he will work at the daycare Mirsa works at and Isabella goes to.

He posted on FB a few days ago that she got the baby wipes and changing pad and lied own telling him she needed a diaper change. Indeed she did.

I can't wait to see her Saturday!!!

DS27 looking into engagement rings. I am sure we will help him. I have a diamond from a ring DH bought me that I don't wear.

Rebecca DGF of DS27 passed the last part of her Dental Assistant exam yesterday.she is now a CDA. Means she can do a bit more at her job like make impressions. She works at an oral surgery office.

Better hit the shower. Need to drive to Rockville for car service. Every other time it is free but not this time. I do what they say but I need tires( so they said last time I was at the Honda dealer) and I am not getting them there or today.

Woke with allergic reaction. My eyes and face mostly but scattered hives all over. Took some Benadryl and bought and took Pepcid since we use both for allergic reactions. Went to Urgent Care and got a steroid shot and prescription for oral steroids to start tomorrow.

I canceled car appt and changed till Thursday. I have errands to run down there.

DH just got home. He was at a conference in Baltimire. Yesterday his new car got rear ended. Third time in three years.

Going to run tonight. Might do shorter as my back has been acting up more then it usually does. Steroids will help that too.

Cindy, any word how the voter turnout and exit polling is going??

MK, must have been a nonstop day with your to do list.

Jenn, your kids are growing up so fast.

Kelly, busy with graduation, year end and guests??

Kaye, keep coming pack. Your posts make me smile.

Becky, no excuses if I see you on FB.

Had Guinie to the vet today... She's not diabetic which I was concerned with. He did bloodwork to see if her hyperthyroidism is worse off kilter or if she has kidney disease. She just turned 14 on Saturday. I'm really worried about her. She's gone from 8.5 lbs flown to 7.10 just since January.

John got but by a brown recluse about 10 days ago... He was awful last week and he leg looke horrible. He's doin better now but he was a sick puppy!!! I know I don't want to get but by those buggies!!!! On top of that he got a reactiOn to the antibiotic so they had to change it!

Cindy... What happened with your governor?

Debbie, I hope ur allergic reactiOn is better!

MK... How was graduation? I he the last one or do you still have kids on school?

Checking in quickly.

Cindy... Sorry about your state... I'm not grilled about our governor either, can we ship them off to a deserted island and then sink the ship???

Still waiting for Dr. brown to call about Guinies results. I'm no good at waiting! Kimd taking Sam in today, he's not eating, he's hiding ad he's growing up yellow and now green. These cats are givin us more worries than we need!

Waiting for my Fed Ex shipment... I hope it's my replacing phone and not somethig were not anticipating! It's early for my phone, they tried to deliver t yesterday but I wasn't home yet, that's why its REALLY to early so that has me worried too that it's something not expected!

I'm tired! I need a nap but it's not looking that way! Girls will be here soon too.

Hoping Debbie's reaction is better!

4 years ago today was moms accident. I wanted to go over but I'm waiting on fed ex and brad/Sheryl will be here at 5. If nothing else I will all her. Maybe send her some pics in her phone of the girls playing to cheer her up!

Guinie hopped up on my lap so now were rocking, WHO ELSE would rock a cat? She started loving to be rocked when Alyssa was about 2 weeks old, she doesn't do it with John... She's definiely my cat!!!

I'll check in soon, hopefully some other shorties will stop by and say hi!!!

Checking in! Busy week and haven't gotten *anything* done!

MK-yes, it's from Joss Whedon. I still can't decide if I like it or not!

Cindy-hope your week calms down! Or at least that next week is better!

Debbie-Feel better!

Becky-Oh no! I hope John is feeling better soon! Those are nasty creatures!

Better today. Definitely needed steroids as I was still itching yesterday. My skin is so sensitive.

DS27 bought a ring( with our help). He had about 1/3 of the money. Her birthday is amine 24 or 25 I forget but he will ask then. Her parents will be here that weekend. He told her mom.

Nails done today. Car in and done.

Work tomorrow and baby sit 6am Saturday for Bella.

Time flying buy but I didn't get much else done today but laundry, ironing, nails and car.

French on the fingers and Strawberry margarita on the toes( I think that is the OPI name).

Off to run and then to UPS to get ring. It is from the diamond district in NY.
