Mine are to keep weight gain to a small crawl and keep insulin use down.

Karen yup your right, been real busy, my job is starting back up for the season. But won't be in full swing until the end of the month. And been cooking the last few days with my neighbors DD. She having a surprise housewarming tonight, so we're cooking at my house. Glad your finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel

Lizzy tks for starting us up for the Month. Hope all goes well with getting your house. You think as long as your had receipt showing you pay rent that it would count. Wow you only have 14 weeks to go, can't believe how fast it's going. Maybe not for you though. I can't wait to finally see baby pics.

Misty~Still having 70's type weather there? Get rid of any clothes? I tend to hoard clothes too. Bought a few new sun dresses while shopping w/my sisters. Couldn't skip buying them @ the sale prices I bought them for! One dress was only $15.00!
Guess your stove element got replaced if ur cooking up house warming stuff. What's on the menu?

Well, was feeling better and now having a sort of rebounder or a caught another cold? Throat was a bit sore yesterday and didn't sleep well last night due coughing/head congestion stuff. Grrr!
Was planning on going to yoga this morning...but, head is too stuffy. Oh, well.... Maybe tomorrow.

Sisters visit went well. But, I sure got tired from being Tour guide/Hostess. Whew! Got really quiet here when they left. Kinda made me sad. UK?

So my constant complaining hasn't chased everyone off? Anyway it's time to change. And I am going to try and deal better with my problems. One at a time. What I can't fix, I will try to let go of. The roller coaster ride needs to stop. So here's to taking back control, realizing I can't fix, help everybody and taking care of myself. I have 20# to lose. I am going to try calorie counting. Great app on my phone where I can scan the bar code on food and enter it to keep track. Still going lower carb but not induction level.

Well, looks like I do have another Cold! Grrrr! Coughing (never quite got rid of the last one) and head all congested. Took 2gel caps of Nyquil last nite to help relieve the symptoms and get some sleep. Helped...sort of.
DH had to get up and sleep in our guest room. I offered to move...but, all my germs/meds etc. were already in place.
Scale down 2# this morning. Must have been all the tossing, turning, and coughing I did last night.

Happy Cinco de Mayo! Not doing much here. I defrosted a ribeye. Will prolly grill that up and make a taco salad. No cerveza or Skinny Ritas for this Chica.

Karen, yes very busy. We have had 9 days of staight baseball. With the boys on seperate teams and practices, games, and make-up rain out games. Uggg, I never thought I would say that I need a break from baseball.

Cheryl, I know how you feel. Always trying to take care of everyone else and lose myself in the process. But knowing that I have friends here who will listen and not judge is wonderful. We are all here for each other.

Pat, hope you get over this cold soon. You know that when you fly into Sac you drive by my house to get home. Next time as you drive by Cameron Park you should wave. Glad to hear sisters visit went good.

Today is the first day that DH and I have been able to monitor the boys on the meds all day. I don't know if I like it. Our spunky little 8yr old joker was way to quiet and didn't have much to say. Yes, he has been good and finishing is school work, but we don't want him to lose his personality. Our usually overly confident 10yr old started crying in the middle of his game. They both are so much more emotional at the end of the day. I know we were told that it could take a couple of weeks for them to get use to it. Or mayb I need to get use to not being on guard all the time and this is how it is suppose to be. I caught myself getting upset with them this afternoon because they were not interested in jumping in the trampoline. Something they usually are all over. Good point is that they have been playing with lego's in the room without arguing. So what do I take or give up.

Ok, done rambling. Starting bbq and have a glass of wine in hand.

I was afraid to check yesterday...cause if no one showed up I think I would cry...

Well starting to feel better. A little more energy. Still spending more time in the bed than I want but I did do some laundry yesterday. Spent several hour in the living room in the recliner.
DD15 has a choir concert today...I am NOT up for that. They have those in the caf seating is bench lunch room tables!! I would get stuck!!

My weight is up to 206. Oh how I have that nuimber!!!!!!!!!!!
Cant wait to start my way back down. Going to get an elipical machine before I buy a Crib!!! I have a rock 'n play and a cradle...that will last till November, maybe??

We should hear from the bank on monday. As long as the people don't get a better offer on that house before we get our Pre-approval letter it's ours.
Then there's the hope that the house is all up to par and the value is ok for want they are asking.

I've had both my eyes done now. It is so nice to see without glasses or contacts.

Down 1#. Not great. But I will give it a few more days. The thought of doing induction doesn't enthuse me but that has been the only thing that has worked in the past.

Something bit me several times on the back of my neck Friday. Lymph glands are all swollen and knotty on my left neck and head. hurts at times. Was working on Moms things that had been in storage the past year. Probably something from there.

Hot weekend but we are in for a cool down now. Storms, but nothing severe, last nite. Everything is so green.

hello all!
This bed is starting to get on my nerves! But if I get up and go into the L.Room in about 20 minutes my heart starts that beat thing. I see my OBGYN tomorrow.
Baby is kicking and punching. Using my bladder for a speed bag!!
Well DD19 has been home almost a whole week and I haven't had a fight with her yet! So good for me. We are oil and water most of the time. Too different. DD15 has 2 weeks left in school, then she is going with a friend to Michigan I think... I forgot. 6 days to visit her BFF family and go to a admusement park. Her BFF's mom already bought the passes for her! Still no word on loan, but the house is still on the market. As long as they don't get a better offer before we can get the pre-appproval letter to them that is..It's almost been 2 weeks, you'd think the bank would be faster than that.

I don't even want to look at a scale.

Loan was turned down.....Me my credit was the problem. I had 3 unpayed bills that honestly 2 I didn't even know about...all totaling less than 300$.
Wouldn't let me just pay them...it's that they were there.
Hubby is going to try just on his own.
Couldn't sleep
Just thinking about all my clutter and how it is messing up my life.

Ahhh Lizzy so sorry. You have so much going right now. Since the big banking/mortgage crisis it is so hard to get a loan. We had to jump thru all kinds of hoops and questions and documentation just to refinance to lower rate. They didn't like my independant contractor work. Don't know why. Then there was a person with DH name with bad credit on one report. Cost us to get it removed. What a scam. Hope you can get it under DH name.

Back to induction. Ughhh. I did a week of calorie counting and didn't lose any thing. I'm not willing to go below 1300 calories.

They place on my neck looks more like poison ivy reaction now. Less lymph node swelling but still tender and swollen. And the one area of swelling by my ear still bugs me a lot. No itching tho :-).

I am so stressed still. On Monday DS 10 yr old fainted at school. The medication makes them not have an appitite. So he went all day at school without eating or drinking anything. They found him face down on the playground. Nobody knows how long he was down. I left work early to rush him to dr where they did an EKG to make sure he has no issues. Since they are adopted I don't know the history. I was so scared! Turns out that he was just dehyderated from not eating or drinking anything. Was really glad the dr stressed to them that they have to eat and drink even if they are not hungry. We go back for follow up on the 22nd. Will decide then if they need a different prescription or different dose. DS 8 yrs is adjusting good. He doesn't seem to be having the side affect that 10 yr old is.

Good news is that my graduation is this Friday. Will be so glad to be all done with school.

That would be scary. Glad he is okay. Tough when they are that young.......hard to make them understand the importance of eating/drinking. Heck, I don't drink enough sometimes even now......

I don't know when I will do another ultrasound. Yes he was hitting my pelvic bone and kicking my ribs at the same time. Average is 14.5 inches long head to toe, and 2 pounds.
He has been weight about 6 to 8 oz more than average......2.5 pounds?

Using insulin 17 units twice a day. Keeping sugars in limits. But my weight is going up. 4 pounds this week.

No house. Have to wait till Jan so we have 2 years of W-2 and tax returns to prove Hubby's income. Without that they figured up that we don't make enough to afford a house. Funny....

Just decided to make DH mad, and quit buying chips and junk foods.
But is that fair to DD19---135# and DD23 that weighs 102#?

Both basically spend all day at my house............what does everyone think, or what do I need to keep in the house for them to eat? DD23 eats constantly........(like I used to)

I keep chips in the house for DH. Probably why it is easy to cheat. If I can get in the mindset it doesn't me. But if stress starts in, potatoes or chocolate are my drug of choice. Luckily he and I do like the same chocolate.

Been at the lake all weekend. Staying on plan. Weigh in tomorrow.

SS Lizzy on the house. That stinks. I wouldn't stress about the weight. Too many health issues and baby. Eat as healthy as you can and take on the weight when you are better. Put your scale in the bad boy closet as Mel used to say.
