SS to be MIA but major problems here. I'll try to explain. Last Saturday a huge tractortrailer tried to go around the lake a make a delivery somewhere there. I guess he wasn't paying attention to the wires and got hooked on them. He was lucky he didn't get killed the first phone pole came down right between the cab of the truck and the box. But when that came down it caused my phone pole in front of my cottage to split in half and when the wires got tight it took off the corner peek of my cottage and all the wires with it. Then no power of any kind. And then the fight begins whos going to pay for all the damage to my cottage. Not my insurance. They still have all the wires coming into my house mickey moused just to give uspower. Then to top it off I ended up getting a bad case of hives from nerves. Oh and to top it off I lost my cell phone somewhere out side. DS1 got me a new one for Mothers Day. SS to vent but I just needed it. And I missed everyone. I know it'll take me awhile to catch up. Hope all is well with everyone and that you all had a great Mothers Day.

Will be back later to catch up. Going to be nice to finally cook a good meal. Plus the scale it up as well

Misty- Glad you are back. Wow what I time you have had. I would think the trucking company would pay! Hope you don't get rain. How are the hives?

Pat are you back at yoga yet? For the matter are you in Hawaii or Ca.?

No weight loss this weekend. This should be the easy time and I am already stuck. Grrrr.Still fighting with the builders. The old project manager has left and the builders wife is taking over. I am supposed to meet with her.

We are having beautiful weather. This is supposed to be our major tornado month and so far it has been quiet. The one year anniversay is coming on the 22nd. Lots of building going on. City is after the businesses and homes that still haven't done demo. Lots of tree planting. It still looks stark and prarie like but it is improving all the time. Several homes on Mom's block and more going up. She is waiting on cable and street lights. Really misses those

I have a light work week so I am thinking about starting up the paint job in the living room again. That's the one where I walked off the top rung on injured my wrist I will try to remember I am on a ladder this time.

Still now word on when and who will be fixing my house. But at least I have all my power up and running. Didn't like having to take a shower at the Fire Department.

Cheryl wow almost a year already. Is Mom living in her new home yet? I think the last time you posted you said maybe they'd let her in before the yard was finished. Yup if I were you I use one of those roller things with a long handle and stay off the ladder. You'd think others would want to demo and rebuild so they didn't have to see all the destuction. I know I would.

Karen hows work going, are you finally back to normal with work.

To All of You!
Back in Ca.! Got here Sun. nite. All is well, except, I still have congestion/cough. Grrr! Prolly won't start up on Yoga until maybe Fri. Hopefully, my head will be less congested.
Yesterday was major grocery shop and such. We went thru a huge bin of mail too. Dinner was easy...a rotisserie chicken ready to chomp on. Today, I was lazy. I tried to do some stuff around here...but, just got tired thinking about it. Maybe, tomorrow will be a more productive day.
Scale is -2# Must be the climate/elevation change. Less swelling w/less humidity.
Laters....

Misty~Wow! SS U had to go thru all of that! Get rid of the Hives? LOL...on having to shower @ the FD! Sorry your scale is up. Stress does that to me. Grrr!

CJ~Yay...on the -1.5! Grrr...on the Builders! Hope his wife will step it up! HOPE NO MORE TORNADOES COME NEAR YOUR AREA ANYMORE! Yeah, try to remember you are on a Ladder this time!

Karen~Having fun with some free time on your hands?

Rena~Did think of U as we drove past Cameron PK.

Lizzy~How's your health?

Misty-Yea Mom is in her house. Loves it. It isn't quite done but they let her move in. Closing was a disaster. Lasted over 2 hours with thousands of dollars extra added. Like 3400 for debris removal. Should have already been included. We refused to pay the majority of them. The Project Manager has been replaced and I am meeting with the new one on Friday to discuss reimbursement of the rest. Any news on the repairs yet?

Pat you are still congested. That's been a long time now. And back on the Mainland. Is it still cold in the Mts? Good on the weight loss.

Karen- home by 4? Woooweeee.

Rena- Lizzy how are you.

Well finally got my house put back together. I so afraid I'd get water damage because it was rainy week. Going be a busy weekend for me. GD has her dance recital tomorrow night. And then Sun. am I volunteer to help serve with the FD's pancake breakfast. It's alway a big turn out last time around 300. Can't beat it, all you can eat for 5.00 and seniors eat for 3.00

Cheryl glad your moms in her house. I can almost see the smile on her face. A long wait for her. Glad to hear your taking some you time. Maybe you'll be able to spend more time on the lake. wtg on the weight, I'm pushing a few oz's at a time. But now all the cookouts start. Going to keep track so I don't put on what I've loss.Nice on the boat ours is really old too. But I find we use the jet skis more. One is strong enough to pull the tubes for the kids.

Lizzy I'm living on benadryl with my allergies. Stinks. Glad you health is good otherwise.

Pat bet your glad to be home, our weather is starting to get hot. But I have to say we had a real mild winter. But not cold enough to kill all the germs. The fllu is getting everyone. Glad you got to the Drs that's a long time to hang onto a cold. Maybe the change in the air there will help.

CJ~Yay...New Boat & sold the Old one so quickly!
Dr gave me a script for antibiotics and basically said, it was just Bad Luck that I caught another Dang Cold!

Misty~Glad your house is back together! How old is GD? Have fun @ her recital. Wow...300 peeps last yr! Have fun! Don't eat too much!
This is the 2nd cold. I barely finished off the other one before I caught this one!

Well, just hanging around the house and doing light chores. Doing what the Doc said...REST & stay hydrated. Ho-Hum....
I'm holding @ -8#. Hoping to lose the 2# to make it -10#!!

I just haven't been having much luck staying LC, so I am going back couple years to when I tried Carb Addict Diet. Going to subject you guys to my daily eating, because hopefully posting my prior day food will help me stay accountable.

Thanks in advance for tolerating this.........I have to do something. I have always sworn I would never get over 190, and I am there. Also started doing small excercise routine, as office life has destroyed my fitness!!

Yesterday Menu--
BF)1 egg, 1 slice cheese and bacon bits
L)Sausage patty, slice cheese and small hamburger bun (DS brought me lunch so I ate-he was so proud of being thoughtful!!)
S)1 Funyum ring with daughters in mid-afternoon
SUPPER)Burger King chicken sandwich, french fries and all Diet Coke I could drink

Drank Crystal light Peach tea all day

No gain, no loss

Sorry I have been MIA again. Baseball everyday, almost the end of the season. Except that they are now looking at 10yr DS for the all stars. So maybe we are not done. Baseball game today and then grandbaby 6th bday at the park.

Scale is down to 131 and holding all week!

Have a great day all!

Busy weekend, GD's recital was go nice and then I worked the pancake breakfast until noon. I'm going to pay the price tomorrow. Think I ate a ton of bacon and darn sodium get me everytime. Right now I drinking my water.

Pat how's the cold going? Better I hope

Rena wtg on your DS 10 playing the all stars. And a big to your grandbaby.

Karen I'm restarting again today. I been slipping up and getting no where. So going back to writing down all the food I eat and weighing daily again. I know that's what works for me too. I'm back on Atkins. I keep trying other plans and when the carbs get higher I slip off plan. So going to stick to 1 plan and give it a chance.

Had a great weekend. We took the new boat out to a secluded area and let her rip. I got it to 60 mph and chickened out. DH took it to 75. Nobody needs to go that fast on a lakeWe will keep it down from now on. Still working on the inside of the lake house.

Obama is coming to town to speak at the High School graduation. So I am staying home today. Last time he was here the town was locked so tight you couldn't move.

The New PM flaked on our meeting. She doesn't really seem any different than the last one. All talk. No resolution. I am pounding my head against a brick wall trying to get the double charges to Mom and her home taken care of.

So. I will kick back and relax today. Mild weather. Ah yes.

Karen how's it going with the diet? I just can't seem to stick to anything. My niece is recommending WW. We are headed to Texas next weekend and she and I will talk. Induction has been done too many times for too long and I just can't hack it. Keep me posted.

Misty glad the house got fixed. Which Atkins are you are on? Lake season getting started there too? What kind of recital did GD have?

Rena- congrats on all stars ! How the boys doing on their meds now? And how are vow renewal plans?

Lizzy. How are you doing? Is it getting better yet?

Pat did you get rid of that cold yet?? Down 8#. Doing something very right.

Mel nice to see you again.

Was working in the attic most of the morning, would have liked to get more done. But dang does it get hot up there around noon.

Chery sounds like fun with the new boat. I'd love to get a new one in the next few years.
I was going to do Atkins again, but I keep slipping off. So I reread SouthBeach and going to try that for a month. Alot more choices of foods but I going to keep it low carb. Good thinking on staying home tonight, I bet they'll be hundreds there. And then you have to try and drive home through all that traffic. My DIL does WW and has lost 57 lbs so far. And I can't believe what she eats.

In my DREAMS!

Karen~SS about the wt#. Hope your new regime will work 4U!

Rena~ Yay...on 131 and congrats to DS if he goes to the All Stars!

Misty~Yeah, sodium gets to me too! I'm doing better, Thx! Good luck on what ever diet U choose to start on. Let us know...
Yeah...we have a loft/attic and boy, it sure does heat up there in the summer! Whew!

CJ~U rode it to 60 & then DH went up to 70!!! Geez! U guys were BRAVE! SS about PM!GRRR! Yeah, Induction Sucks!
Yeah...I would avoid the Obama crowd like the Plague.
Umm...it has taken a while to keep these -8# to stick. Bet it felt good to Kick back.

Scale says -1 today. Yay...last day of antibiotics! I Do feel better. But, still have some nasal stuff and a slight cough. Can't wait to feel 100% again! Whew!
Even got out in the front yard today to put out statuary/bird bath tops/pots & Furniture (w/the help of DH of course).
Yard is a Mess from winter! We will have to hire someone or some peeps to come and rake up the winter debris/slash. I don't want to hurt my back or my knee doing all of that myself. U/K?
Well, off to catch up on my recorded shows.
Anyone keeping up w/DWTS? It sure has been Good this season.

WOE: My way mixing it low carb
A year ago today. 5:41 pm.

It's been said this is a day we have all dreaded. We know we have to stop and remember. It is part of the healing. Then we can continue forward again. It stirs up all they we are trying to put behind us.

I still feel awful about not being able to find Mom until the next day. When I think of her injured, in pain and having no one there for her...that hasn't gotten better. But I'm so thankful that she is alive and her injuries have improved enough that she can pick her life back up.

I miss the friends I lost to the tornado.

I mourn the loss of our family home and memories. Most of the family photos gone. The ability to walk thru the home and have memories triggered. In a way it was like losing Dad again. So much of the home made it feel like he was still with us.

I also remember the all the volunteers that came to help. So many. We couldn't have accomplished what we have without them.

The emails, letters etc from people. Many from people i have never met. Offering words of encouragement. Donations. Physical labor. This forum, you all, offering me a place to work thru all this. Thank you.

So. We will take the day to remember. The things we try to forget, the images burned into our brains that nobody wants to remember. Mourn. Celebrate what we have accomplished. And start moving forward again.

On a brighter note
It is beautiful out today. Off work the rest of the day. Think I will putter around the yard. Still need to finish painting the living room.

Pat did you caught up on your shows?

Karen good for you!

Misty I need to find something that works. I have 2 pair of jeans and 1 Capri that fit. Bound and determined to not buy more but get back to my old size.

Had to work today and again tomorrow, my work season is starting to pic up. I figure by the beginning of June they'll all be back.

Pat what eating plan are you doing, you doing fantastic. It's sure working for you.

Cheryl great post. Memories can be so sad at times and then so greatful too. And to think a year has gone by and still so much to be done. But it will be done.

Cheryl I hear you on not buy new things. I bought last years summer clothes on clearance and thought I be wearing them this summer but NO. Got to stick to a plan. And what makes it even harder is that summers here and friends come every weekend.

Lizzy how you doing hope all is good.

Rena did you DS make the all stars?

Wow! That was an Excellent Post, CJ!
Have a Beautiful Day! Be careful on that Ladder! Summertime makes us all go out and enjoy all the activities. I bet you will fit into your other clothes soon.
Yeah...I did catch up on most of my recordings.

Misty~Summertime is TOUGH! But, with the summer outside activities and such...I bet U will drop the #s and fit into those clothes that still have tags on them. I'm not really doing a strict plan. I just try to avoid (as much as I can) the bad carbs and choose better healthier food choices. I love Taters, pasta, rice, beans and such...but, I am trying to refrain from eating them. I eat them only when I have a craving so bad that I might as well indulge and get it over with. That seems to be helping me.

Scale sticking and that is better than it going up. Finally, Getting rid of this cold and starting to feel like myself again. Head congestion is just about gone. Will prolly go back to Yoga soon. Yay!
Going to try and lose 6# by 7-4. I think that is a reasonable about of #s to lose by then.
I joined the July 4th Challenge Thread. Saw Mel over there!
Come on over and join us if U guys want to.
To all the rest of U!

WOE: My way mixing it low carb
Just watched the memorial service. It was very moving. They dedicated a plaque with the names of those who died. Planted the 161st tree one for each person. Local artists that had written songs about the disaster performed. It was all in the park across from St. johns. Now the weather channel has taken over.
