Well my week was good until last night! Came home and my daughter fell off the swing in the backyard and broke her arm! So I had taco bell at 9:30 last night.

Oh dear, your poor daughter Lotus. I hope she is ok. How old is she?

I am definitely an emotional eater too! I had a really stressful week at work and came home last night and decided to dive into a bag of chips followed by a small chocolate bar. Weird thing is I feel lighter today!?!?! Back on it today though!!! Going to the cinema tonight to watch Titanic 3D, will need to rustle up some good low carb cinema snacks!!!

I am actually a Brit living in Hong Kong by the way so my posts will be quite a few hours ahead, especially in terms of weigh in times! I will still post my weight each Sunday morning (my time) if that's ok!

TY! She is 9, well almost 10, her birthday is June. She is very tired today but I think its the pain killers knocking her out.

What brought you to Hong Kong??? Thats quite a move!


I had to laugh reading what you ate...........been there done that :hyst:

Hope you have fun at the movie! That is a hard thing about low carb. The popcorn is soooo tempting! Sometimes I have will power and sometimes I am like it is unrealistic to think I will never have popcorn again and I get some. All depends on the mood I am in!

Just lounging today. Trying to get the housework done this afternoon then start a new book. If I start the book first I know I won't put it down and the work will never get done!

Going to try out a new pair of shoes I got to work out in too! They are really cool. All mesh and even the soles have openings where air can get in to keep you cool. NOT for wearing outside when its wet though!! LOL would have wet feet!

I have been at this since Aug 22 and love how its changing my life. I have three boys , one that is 28 and the father of my 3 months old beautiful granddaughter and two boys one about to become 13 and the other turning 12 in a month. Sunday's sounds great for me too.
I am a fat Grandma and need to get back to 130lbs or less.
Stillman's is my game.
I plan on taking my grandkids to a waterpark this summer and it is time to start doing something about it rather than talking about it.
One in 10 yrs and the other is 1 yr.
Both are boys and the poor 10 year old has been waiting for 10 years for me to take him....haha....no his mommy has taken him but, I want to go too!
I am in! Sunday is my start day so this will work for me.

Welcome to the club Grandma Jo and Grandma G! The support is growing! :hugs: Grandma Jo because of the time difference of where I live I think I am technically logging my weight in on a Saturday in US time too.

Lotus: Had a great time at the movies thanks! I am a teacher in an international school in Hong Kong. It's brilliant! I also tried on shoes EXACTLY as you described yesterday, didn't buy them as the queue was too long and I was in a rush but may go back and get them today.

Sooo...I weighed in this morning and....I AM DOWN 9LBS!!! In one week!!! So chuffed, especially after the cheats! Obviously a lot of it is water weight but I still feel good! :jumpjoy:

My goals for this week are:
  • To lose 1-2lbs (going to keep it realistic)
  • To add in at least three sessions of gym time
  • I will also aim to stay away from the junk and drink lots of water!!!

Okay so I weighed in today and I'm 199!!! I'm so excited, it's been almost a year since I've seen a 1 before my weight :) That makes 6 pounds for this week. Gotta love those first 2 weeks of induction...lol. I doubt I can keep up that pace, but it is definitely a great motivation to keep going.

Sounds like everyone has great goals! I am starting over today as it was a rough week in the food department! I am actually up 1.5:annoyed:


I did buy a juicer or blender or something yesterday, here is a youtube of it. Going to do a shake in the morning.

Other goals
1. get 3 walk sessions in per week
2. start stretching 5 min every morning and evening

Thats if for now don't want to overwhelm myself or I quit!

Okay the scale said 165 this morning.

I just realized I didn't write any goals for the week. So....

1. Walk 3 days a week and Zumba the other days. Rest on Sunday.
2. Drink more water.

I bet your smiling:D:D. GG don't worry you will have a better week this week just stick to you plan. I think having a plan is what makes it work.:up:
I have to go out to the city for a couple of nights tomorrow evening taking my boy for his braces appointment. We had to go out once a month and its fun to get away and get my hair done and stuff but its always harder making good choices when I don't have my kitchen at my fingertips. So my goal it to try and drop a pound this week 1.7 would be cool to take me into the 80's So I will resist all fast food that is off plan and do my best to eat clean! I will walk throught the malls so hope that counts , bowling one night and get back to walking on Thursday and Friday! So thats my plan and I'm sticking to it. Hope you all have a great week!!:cool::

Maybe just too much diet pop?

Uhg! Thats why I just weigh once a week, its frustrating watching the scale go up and down! Don't sweat it! You have a lot of days yet this week to lose it! What stage of Stillmans are you doing? I am assuming OWL from your avi?

How was everyones day?

I got in a 45 min walk but not the morning stretching i wanted to do. Pretty happy with getting in the walk though! Tried out my new shoes....LOVE THEM :love:

I am also going to try to get in 24 oz of water. I know it doesn;t seem like much but I drink NONE :o I hate it :sick: Well don't hate it but it sure isn't diet coke! :hyst:



Have to take DD to the surgeon in the morning to see if her arm will need surgery or not. **crossing fingers** its a not!

I really need to follow your lead, Lotus, and weigh once a week! I was up 1lb on the scale today which I know is from TOM - and it is not like I am not drinking enough water, yesterday I had 4.5 litres! *grumble grumble*

I am planning to visit the gym for treadmill time and weights. My gym has TVs in front of the treadmill so I sometimes go and watch trashy tv. It keeps me from getting super bored :)

Hope your DD is ok! Yikes...poor girlie!

I did the daily weigh thing for awhile too but it makes me nuts! I get too focused on that dang thing not moving that I throw in the towel altogether! I am trying a more "this is for my health" approach this time. Now don't get me wrong I also want to lose weight but have to psych myself into its not a diet just a change. I get super focused and then see little to no results and fill my face with something! I still need goals and accountability but I am trying to not get to fanatical!

I have a Zumba wii game.......never tried it yet :o
