Sounds like a great plan! Okay, it's the evening and I've done well sticking to the plan. Nights are sooooo stinkin hard for me! I think it's because I finally get some time to myself.

I definitely need to up the water...especially with this heat! Hope you all had a good day!

mamafox! Great job so far! I *think* that if you have a lot to lose, you can do induction for a lot longer. I'm not sure of a specific time frame, but I've read posts from other people that have been on induction for months.

First time I started low carb, I stayed on induction for 2-3 weeks. Then added carbs. And had great success. Then slowly, didn't stay on plan like I should have. But kept the weight off for 2 years......then crept back up.

By the way, I did tractor mowing again today for over 1 1/2 hrs, so I am saying I got in my exercise today. Also 10 minutes at the gym. Water, not so good. Left water bottle at home, so no ice, no drink.......

I didn't do so great with water yesterday either. 1 bottle down today...mixed with crystal light energy though. I need that to get going in the morning Instead of my usual coke zero for lunch, I'm replacing it with water.

Yeah that is what this farmer said too. So you pay for the whole season up front and then just pick up your portion every week. He said the baskets are small now but as the season goes and more is ready you get lots. I will try it this season and see how it goes. I hardy have any sun at all so I never try a garden. Maybe next year I will try one. I would have to put a big fence up though, all the bunnies around here would have a field day! They are eating all my roses currently...rotten buggers!

Man, I am going to have to go back to tracking my food. It is time consuming, but don't know what else to do.

I thought I was being more careful about what I was eating, but is not working.
Yesterday, I was about 1900 calories. That should not have my scale going up!!

Just not sure what path to go down, but I have to get the scale down. I have a belly (not as big as DH) but I have to trim down!! Disgusted with the whole process. I realize people swear you need 3 meals a day, but today, Diet pop is my BF. That seems to be the easiest meal for me to cut way back on.

Bear with me, ladies. I have to keep myself accountable somewhere. It is not working to ignore it.......

Thank you!

Are you still trying CAD? I must have accidentally unsubscribed to that thread I don't get anymore notifications of posts....I better go check. Either way I haven't followed any plan in forever

I should really try to go back to that plan. I didn't do it long enough to see results but seems like a good fit it I gave it a chance!

1900 does not seem like enough to go up on the scale! Is that with skipping breakfast or is that a breakfast day?

I think CAD works as well for me as anything......I can fit it around my life, which is constantly out of my control.

but my problem, as you said, is that I haven't been following any plan, really. So just gotta get at that first.

I am all for CAD, if you want to join me, that would be great. Starting today.............Promise!!! Will post my eats, just to keep me honest

That's ok...ice cream on a holiday..........

....I did real well yesterday, EXCEPT. I skipped BF. No food until I got my folks to Aunt Beulahs. Then Fried Chicken, potato salad, small helping of a pistachio salad..............and I quit.

Supper was a T-Bone and cup of carrots.

HOWEVER, in the afternoon, cake and ice cream for my Dad's Bday (he is 86) and 90 year old aunt didn't ask, she just served me cake and ice cream. And I am NOT going tell 90-year-old lady that I don't want her cake........

So my scale didn't move, but I think a little of the paunch is declining. (Maybe wishful thinking)

Today I started with Atkins shake, and I think a diet pop to see me thru til Noon.....

Whew...back to the old routine. We were visiting the in laws this past week. I did my best with making healthy choices, but to be honest it wasn't that great. I did stick with water most of the time.

I think I'm just making this so much harder than it has to be. I feel like I have to make myself follow a certain plan to make it work. Then when I mess up, I feel like I failed the whole thing so I might as well eat whatever I want and then start "tomorrow" (the mythical day that never seems to happen!).

This group is so therapeutic...LOL.

Maybe if I start posting my menu it will keep me more accountable...or put me to shame! LOL.

Actually, I stayed on plan and my scale went down this morning.

Also, 30 minutes horseback today, so got in my activity!!

BF I splurged and bought rolls at the new bakery. took them to my folks for coffee, so they could have them too. 1 cinnamon roll and coffee for BF

Lunch was roast chicken with Mayo and SF jello
Snack of Diet pop and 1 handful almonds. (not salted)
Supper was pork sandwich and onion rings at Burger King.

See what the scale does tomorrow.

Great job Karen!!

Lotus, have fun and enjoy your trip!!

Breakfast was a Jimmy Dean pancake griddler. Those things are so good! I could eat one every morning, but they are a little expensive for how many you get in a box.

Lunch was a tuna sandwich and an apple....with WATER. It was so hard not to have a Coke Zero.

Snack will be a yogurt and carrot sticks.

Dinner: This will be tricky. My son's birthday is today, so we are doing a little family party tonight. Portion control is my motto!

Well last night was a bust. I need to plan my menu today, but I know tonight we will have grilled chicken, broccoli, and potatoes (for the kids).

B- yogurt
L- bowl of mini wheats
D- 2 slices of tomato, 2 crescent rolls and chicken.

and we went to a movie tonight so I had popcorn.

LOL not so good when every day I post junk Oh one of these days....

Did you see anything good? DH wants to see World War Z...looks interesting.

Yesterday we had a birthday party for my mom and it would have been rude not to eat the red velvet cake right?! Of all times to pick to get serious about weight loss. Seriously, we've celebrated 3 birthdays in the past 2 weeks. LOL

Here's the plan for today's menu:

B - Breakfast sandwich.

L - Turkey sandwich and side salad with FF french.

S - Apple & string cheese

D - Lean Cuisine.

Lots and lots of water!

Yes! Totally rude! Sometimes ya gotta eat cake

Heck I had a hard time remembering what I had today!

Breakfast all day

B-nothing
L- bowl fo cereal and blueberries
D-sausage and eggs, 1 piece of toast, watermelon

If you ever have a spare minute (if those exist) check out secret eaters on youtube. Its funny, I love it when they say.....I don't know how I gain weight, I think its cause I don't eat enough. Then you see their diet.... Its entertaining and I can totally relate!
