Great job Rebecca and Karen!

Lotus - That is funny we both have April weddings. You'll get there too! Thankfully I'm not actually in it, just DS.

I'm thinking that I've let myself become to lax with the carbs and processed food. I know my body responds better with a lower carb diet, so I'm going to make out a meal plan and grocery list for tomorrow. Time to get serious!

Yeah, its easy to slip back into carby foods! I don't care what people say carby food is easier to buy, keep around, and eat.

I am starting to focus on the glycemic index of the food more than the carb count. I am going to try that a month. I have a Dr. appt in a month so she will take blood work again. My triglycerides are high. They are affected by carbs but I swear when I was doing true Atkins with high fat they shot up But now I can't remember. If it was the low fat or high fat that they shot up. Anyway going to give the GI thing a try and see what the effects are. Still trying to stay in the CAD formula though. Just choosing carbs differently instead of free range of whatever I want.

That's what I've been thinking too. If I'm too strict with carbs, then I find myself having more "binge" nights and going nuts with the carbs because I feel restricted. On the other hand, when I try to focus on calories, most of them end up being carby/processed foods. So I need to find the middle ground.

I'm at 237 this morning(just a few ounces from 236!). I don't know what was up with the weight fluctuation, but it's subsiding. =)

Keep us posted on Glycemic Index. I have heard about it for years, but not studied up.

188.4 this morning! Pinch me

This seems to be working!! I'm sticking within a range of 50 - 80 carbs, most of which I try to get from fruits and veggies. I'm usually able to have a serving of some type of whole grain like brown rice at dinner or oatmeal if I'm really tired of eggs in the morning. I'm also keeping an eye on my calories for now, just to make sure I'm not going to high. I feel like I have a little more freedom from strict low carbing, but still not getting hungry like I was just watching calories. Hopefully this keeps working

In Iowa, it does not require a lawyer to set up an llc. $50 and 1 sheet of paper does it, if you want to keep it to a minimum.

Go on line or call your Secty of State office and ask questions.

Great job!! Yes, it is exciting..any loss is in my book!!

I looooove stale peeps, but I'm usually too impatient to let them get to that point

Have you guys tried any of the Atkins frozen meals? I saw them at Walmart and picked up a couple. I just had the "Crustless Chicken Pot Pie" and surprisingly it is very good. It will be nice to have on hand when I don't feel like cooking, which is more often than not..LOL

Just checking in...it's too quiet around here

Last week was not pretty! My in laws came to visit and brought a ton of Easter candy Of course I "helped" the kids eat it...ugh! I can officially say that I am over all the sugar. I'm so happy to get back to low carbing (never thought I would say that )

I stepped on the scale for the first time in a week and it was not pretty. At least the weather is starting to warm up and I can start walking outside again!

Sleep still out weighs almost every other option! I wonder if that will ever change? Remember before kids when you just took sleep for granted????? Silly us!


I will weigh next wed. So that will give me a chance to get rid of this bloatedness! <<<< hmph! apparently thats not a real word Oh well you know what I mean!
