no surgery for DD!!!! After the Dr. appt we met up with her class, they were on a field trip so she got to see most of it and just got home. I have an hour before I pick the girls up from school so I am vegging a bit. Might take dog for a walk but not much else

Got a good walk in today with the dog. She was suuuppper tired!

So made a long term goal that I have wanted for years. my "baby" is 7 and I have never had a family picture taken because I couldn't bear to see myself in it. So that is my goal. To get to my goal weight in time for a Christmas pic this year

Lotus, so glad your DD does not need surgery! Phew!

Also, I love your goal! You will be glowing in that photo from your success, I am sure.

I sort of have 4 staggered 'goals' for this year. 4 sets of our friends are getting married so I am using their various weddings as markers for my weight loss.

The first is in the Dominican Republic for a week in July (yes I know, JULY! but she's a teacher).

The second is in August (local) and I am a bridesmaid for this one so lots of photos - happily the bride ordered those convertible dresses for her BMs so weight loss won't be a problem.

The third is in October in Toronto with lots of friends we haven't seen in ages due to distance.

The fourth is after Christmas - another DR wedding in January. My final goal is to wear a bikini from Victoria's Secret...eeeek. Am nervous about this even though it is ages away... lol

Lotus - here is where we ordered our dresses from - you can wear them so many different ways so they all look different: Convertible Dresses & Bridesmaid Dresses with Infinite Styles

Soooo many weddings, I know! I have indeed picked out a bikini...I figure I'll order it when I'm halfway there, as a motivator

They are insanely flattering - the fabric falls SO nicely. The maid of honor is a plus sized gal and so the final call on dresses went to her and she just loved them!

If you go with the David's Bridal dress, you could always have a seamstress shorten it after the wedding so it becomes a cocktail dress. One of my girlfriends did that with one of her many BM dresses.

Also, back on the topic of weighing...I had been UP on the scale the past two days from TOM and I was back to 202 this morning...PHEW...nothing like a gain to make me grumpy!

lotus - So glad to hear your DD doesn't need surgery! I'm sure you are relieved!

Welcome bbqqueen, good luck to you!

Great job GrandmaG!

Rosehip - Sounds like you have a lot of fun events coming up! That's a good idea to order your bikini halfway, definitely a good motivator!

Today I started the Couch to 5K program. I have no idea what possessed me to start running, but it wasn't as bad as I thought...lol.

WOW keep us posted on your progress! So what do you do to start? Just run a little bit more everyday?

I am not a runner! Gravity and I are not currently friends

I'm dreading it!!

My bf is out of town with his bro this weekend and I am staying with his bro's wife for one night. She is pregnant and treats abound. It could be my first (and hopefully last?) 'cheat' day... although no real cravings until now!

It's not that bad so far. You can download it as an app if you have an ipod or you can just get the information from their website. It's a 9 week program, and you only do 3 days a week. So the first week you do a 5 minute warm up walk, then jog for 60 seconds and walk for 90 seconds. You alternate jogging and walking for 20 minutes. Each week the jogging is increased a little. You go at your own pace. I am doing a sloooow jog, because it's been years since I've ran! ha

I am definitely not looking forward to weighing in either. My scale has been bouncing all over this week. I'm not too surprised given I had lost a lot of water weight over the last 2 weeks. It is what it is though!

Hope you all are having a good day!

Was a crazy day today! Copied this from my post on a different thread-

So started my day by rushing my basset hound into the vet. She jumped off the couch and sprained her leg! She is so pitiful but doing ok on her pain pills. poor puppy!

Then noticed my car STUNK every time i got out of it. Couldn't figure it out but it was so bad I was dry heaving! One of the guys at work figured it out. Some animal had crawled in my wheel well and my tire chewed it up like a blender and it was splattered everywhere

Ended the day by going to see the cabin in the woods movie at the theater........BAD CHOICE!! Stupid movie! IMO

Got do formal work out in but ran all over today and was crazy busy at work! I'm soooo glad its the weekend!!!!

Goodness, you have had a crazy day! Aww, I'm glad your dog is doing better. It's so sad to see them in pain And your car...ack! That would make me gag too. Well, at least you got it figured out!

Oooh I was wondering about that movie. I really want to see the Hunger Games. My husband makes fun of me for that one...lol.

Today has been a quiet day so far. DH had to do some work so it's just me and the kids. I'm catching up on some t.v. shows and kind of having a lazy day. Love days like this!

love days like that too!!!!

We saw hunger games and DH really enjoyed it. I was ....eh. But I read all the books so I never like the movie as much. That cabin in the woods plot was similar to Hunger games but if you have a choice go see hunger games!!! There was actually 8 people that walked out of that movie last night! I never see that happen!

We are going to a party my MIL workmates are throwing for her for retiring. So my 2 daughters and I are sort of having a beauty day here. Just did everyones nails, now waiting for youngest to get out of the tub so I can get going on her hair. Not really looking forward to the party at all. MIL retired like 6 months ago! They are just getting to a party now! Weird!

I'm the same weight too, but I kinda figured since my tom is approaching It's okay though, hopefully next week will make up for it!

lotus - just saw your post from yesterday, sorry! I can't wait to have little beauty days with my daughter...she's only 6 months old now. After two boys I am anxiously awaiting though...lol. Hope your party wasn't too bad!

I've just decided not to look at the scale this week because it's not my friend

We're taking my 4 year old to the dentist today to get some work done. He has to go under anesthesia and of course I'm worrying. I know he'll be fine and they do it everyday, but it's the first time he's had anything like that before.

Well I better get moving! Hope you have a good day

Hello all!

Sorry, I "lost" this thread yesterday...hehe...

Ok so I was +2 due to my silly cheat on Friday. It was not worth it (is it ever?). But I guess I learned the hard lesson that re-starting sucks so might as well keep the momentum going and spare yourself a tummy ache...

Beachmom - good luck at the dentist, I'm sure it will go well
