I just have MIL coming over...easy! Annoying but easy

I am just not in it Thanksgiving year either Too much going on maybe? I am sort of excited to get the tree out though


I usually go shopping but not this year. DH has to work at 3 am Not that I ever really buy anything but its a yearly girls day.

DD22 and DD18 are going for girl's time. So I am home babysitting. I put a couple things on their lists. See what they come home with...

DH wants a huge gun safe, so he is going to get it tonight(but I have to babysit...), so he can work tomorrow. (We are on the last field of corn...)

See a pattern here??????? My momma didn't raise no dummy

Well made it through raging TOM and thanksgiving and stayed the same


Would really really really be happy if I could be down 8 before Christmas and then maintain that over the holiday! Unless you all want to drag me down any lower to your level I am fine with that too!!!!

I am having trouble dragging MYSELF down. But I am grabbing for you..........

Broccoli slaw was my entire supper last night. It tasted good, and maybe soy sauce and MSG kept my scale up. Drinking water today, and see if the scale does better tomorrow. I definitely "feel" like still losing weight. And hasn't been hard to stay away from the sugary stuff. It doesn't even look good anymore. But I still eat carbs. Just not sugars. That is real progress. I used to run on sugar 24 hrs per day....

Karen - So funny...you definitely know how to work it! Good job staying on plan!

Lotus - Great job this week!! ...especially having the double whammy of TOM and Thanksgiving!

We had a good Thanksgiving, wish I could say I ate well...oops! It was worth it though and I'm back on track. We ended up going to Walmart for black friday. All I gotta say about that is NEVER AGAIN! I'm a very patient person, I hate confrontation, and even I was ready to break! LOL...poor hubby. Amazon all the way from now on!

Restarted CAD first of September. I am keeping track of weekly weights, and admit I was lying to myself whenever scale got up over 190, so the first weeks averages are slightly distorted.....

Karen - What is CAD? I don't think I've heard of that before. That's a good idea to look both ways.

This week has been horrible...as far as food goes! Two birthday's and inlaws coming with all sorts of goodies. Eeek. It feels so good to get back on track today. I think I'll just weigh in next week so I don't get too depressed...lol.

CAD is Carb Addict Diet. There is a thread of a few over under "Other Plans"

Here if very brief overview. You eat VLC 2 meals per day, and then 1 hr (meal) of every day, you can eat whatever you feel like (Healthy works best, but carbs, milk, etc are all ok). Basically ONLY 1 snack per day if you need to add one. No SF anythings in between times. Produces less insulin this way.

This seems to be very long-term livable for me. I re-started at it Sept 1, and at that time, 191 was probably fudging on actual weight. It is not a fast weight loss for me. But I have averaged 2 lbs down per month, and that includes 4-day trip to see daughter in Arkansas, 2 days at tax school, and Thanksgiving............And it has been a plan that I can figure out a way to stay on plan, at least 6 days per week. One day a week I don't worry about it, if life throws me a day, but I try to stick to it the other 6.

This week back up to 186. Didn't have much luck sticking to plan this weekend, cause had company.....restaurants, etc. But doing real well on drinking water all day. Only 1 SF drink each day,and coffee counts as one of them.
