I agree with you both, 2 pounds is definitely cause for celebration! Great job Lotus!!

I think something is up with my scale too. I'm up 7 pounds today That's either some serious water retention or the scale. I'm thinking the scale since I don't seem to be any puffier than normal

Lotus - Ugh, that stinks Sorry you are going through that. I've heard that a D&C can definitely help in situations like that. Hope you get some answers soon!

My weight has been all over the place! I'm just not focusing on what I really want. And thats losing weight!
I had a D&C a few yrs back and it helped for a little while. I then had an ablation and thats what really helped. But lately I've had some issues and the next step is a partial hysterectomy. So I'm putting off going to the dr. :/ Hope you find some relief. I know how you feel!

Well our scale is officially kaput. I'm not rushing out to buy a new one since this is 2nd one that has broken in the last 6 months. I'm just going to focus on how my clothes are fitting and weigh in at my parents once a week.

Yes, definitely frustrating!

The first one I had was a cheapie from Target. The second one was an Eat Smart, a little bit more $$ but supposed to be better?! Oh well, it's probably better for me not to be so focused on weighing daily anyway. I was starting to notice that it was affecting my day...a little more grumpy if the number was up etc...

on new scale....up to 220 again.

So maybe the 7 lbs I was down were all because the stupid scale was on its way out! well cr*p!!!


I think I have lost though. You know when you start losing and you just physically can't eat as much. Like portion control shrinks your stomach or something . I can't eat as much at all! We went out for dinner last night sans kids so kinda splurged. Got a 6 oz filet and 2 shrimp skewers, brocolli, and sweet potato. I ate the shrimp (probably 12) and half the steak and 1 dinner roll. 2 weeks ago....pfft no problem would have ate ALL of it! had the broccoli and the steak for breakfast and 1 bite of the sweet potato and threw the rest out. So I expect that I will start seeing progress soon!

So I just checked on my parent's scale and I'm down .6! I'm happy about that because I definitely indulged a little bit at my son's birthday party this weekend!

Woohoo! Great job Lotus! I agree, I bet you will see some progress soon!

How is the weather where you guys are at? It was definitely on the colder side in VA today. It sure feels like fall now. Love it!

I was down not sure how much though. I can hardly read that dang scale! Will have to have one of the kids read it for me

have any of you heard of a website pepperplate? Been playing on it the last couple of nights. Planning out meals. I really like it! Sort of a pain since I am having to enter all these recipies but once they are in its going to be awesome!

Had to go to the Dr. today. They are finally going to do the D&C

Wish they would have done it a few months ago

Had to weigh in there and its official I am down for real...dr's scales are always high right?!?!


Yeah go to that site. You can punch in your menu for the week and then print out a shopping list! Holla!!!!

You probably shouldn't have told me about that site So addictive! It reminds me of Pinterest a little, but so much more. I will have a lot of fun playing with this I can already tell.

Karen - That's pretty good considering the restaurant food! I know they like to add a lot of sodium, so it might just even be water weight. I hope to join you in the 180s soon. At my current rate it won't be happening for a few weeks.

I love it! If you just copy and paste recipes in its jot bad at all

If you havd a smart phone look for tha app too. I was able to sync it with a free app on my nook too

This morning I am back down to what I was BEFORE a 4 day road trip with restaurants as the only option. I feel pretty good about that..................too bad I am going to have 2 days at a horse show, which is tough to eat right at, also!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had another road trip---2 days horse show and family dinner on the way home, so my scale was 189.5 this morning. But ate bag of popcorn last night for supper, and guessing scale might go back down tomorrow
