I agree with Karen. I seem to go in spurts with having the motivation to lose. I know I will get to my goal eventually. I just keep reminding myself it's not a race to see how fast I can get there. I've done that in the past and have only set myself up for failure by not meeting my "deadlines"

I weighed 197.2 today. Glad to see the number going back down. I need to get below my beginning wt on the 9th (192.2). I could just kick myself! Oh well, it is what it is!

Hello all - I just found lowcarbfriends and the message boards. I've been eating low carb on/off since '03 when I was 190 and lost 45lbs on it. I'm now at 152 with having taken off 8lbs since 8/26 and am heading for my goal weight of 130. I'm excited to have found an active, supportive group and look forward to getting to know you all. :-)

I try to only weigh once a week and have been weighing on Mondays because I joined an 8 week challenge over on another site last week. Otherwise, I like weighing on Fridays because it allows me to enjoy my Friday and Saturday with a little more leniency -- which probably isn't really the right frame of mind, but hey -- a gal's got to enjoy life too, right?

My lowest was 170 lbs then stress ate through my dd's pregnancy! My granddaughter is 15 mos old and I'm still trying to lose the weight.
I ate pizza rolls and chips last night so I know I'm up today from the sodium, if nothing else! Back on track today. Sheesh!

I know what you guys mean, I've been gaining and losing the same few pounds for a few months now. I'm finally getting in gear, but it took awhile. It's going to be so hard now because we have so many birthdays coming up!

I missed my Monday morning weigh in with having to be at work at 5am, I forgot. But was happy when I weighed last night at 151.5 and this morning at 150.5 -- keep this train a movein' downward - Yeah!

weighed 197.2 two days ago and today weigh 199.0 Yikes!
Semi fasting today so maybe I'll lose some of that. Trying to stay as low as possible in calories. Keeping my fingers crossed this works.

I am still only where I started but its good to see movement in the right direction!!!!

I broke protocol and weighed today also. Down another 2!

Ahhh....if only it would continue!!!

You know come to think of it....I started a medicine for my TOM irregularity. Maybe I should check if this is just a side effect Wouldn't that be a bummer!!!

Aw, I bet they love that! Fun!

His birthday party with all his little friends is in a few weeks, so of course everything has to be Mario. I'm excited though, it's the first "real" birthday party we've done for him. Should be fun!

188.0 again this morning, but think (know) there is some salt going on. So I actually feel like I made progress this week. The body is shifting, that I can tell.

And my average for the week is 188, which means I am keeping control of the eating. Less bouncing UP...........more holding steady

Great job Karen!

I'm up 2 pounds this week I think it's the combo of tom and not eating so well Saturday night (I know I didn't eat enough calories to put on 2 pounds). I'm going to make sure I drink more water this week and hopefully things will be better next week.

karen!

I am down another 2! totally changing my stats for that LOL

Trying to be low-carb-ish and portion control.

Not doing any extra working out or anything my bottom of my heal has been hurting for a couple of months now. I thought maybe I bruised or strained it but its still hurting and sometimes pretty uncomfortable! Going to see the Dr. for it tomorrow. Then on Thurs I get my stitches out so hoping when all my broken-ness is better to add some walking in!

Hope you get the foot issues figured out. That is a bummer.

Back on raging TOM again today! Have i told you guys what a pain this has been?! In the last 4 months I have only not been on it for 2 one week periods of time!
