Spent 3 hrs on horse at horse show today. 100 degree heat........ See how I feel come morning........ Cranked up soft-serve machine and shamed DH into chocolate mix, so overate on it, and loved every bite...................worry about the scale tomorrow.

That is so HOT to be on a horse!!! Were they cranky today in the heat?


Thats about what it was here today too. We don't usually hit that high. Lots of people without power around here as well! Glad I have it

Swam a bit after work today but then after that spent about 2 hrs trying to figure out my TV bill and then I switched phone and internet service. Got a shut off notice for TV saying I owe 371. I have direct pay Not my fault there system messed up and didn't take the payments!!! Grrrr....

No cranky horses.......we took it easy on them and skipped a couple classes.

Oh wow, that is annoying! Hopefully they will get it all worked out for you.

I just checked our weather and it's supposed to be 102 with a heat index of 110 Well, at least the pool water will be warm!

Uhg! We are finally getting a break from our heat wave. Only high 80's today but 70% humidity still yuck!!! Yesterday was just awful!

DH invited people over tonight, so I have to run to the store and get stuff for dinner. I had chicken to grill tonight but the guy coming over gets instant heartburn when he eats chicken. Isnt that the weirdest thing to get heartburn from! No biggie though we will have it tomorrow.

Where are you located? Our heat wave broke over night. Supposed to be 80's today!!!!!

I am in Michigan. The last week has been unseasonable hot I guess for everyone! Really nice today! I am headed out in a bit to water my gardens and see what other projects I can get myself into today!

I would like to join the weekly weigh in also . I am on day 6 of eating very low carb. My goal is to add fruits and whole wheat back in slowly and keep around 70 - 100 carbs a day while still losing. I have a book "The Insulin Resistance Diet" where you link and balance. It does work very well for me as long as I stay away from white flour and sugar. Sweets are addicting to me and once I start eating...can't stop. in any case my scale today says:

277

I have about 120 - 130 pounds to lose but I will be thrilled to lose 100!!

Lotus - You crack me up with your scale...LOL. Actually, it's probably pretty freeing not having one!

Regina - Welcome! That is sort of what I am doing as well. I started very low carb and lost some, but ultimately switched to more of a moderate carb diet along with weight watchers. It's been working really well for me so far. I usually don't count carbs, but will check once a week or so. Most days I am staying around 100.

As for me...I'm down 2 this week!

Today is my son's 8th birthday so we are going to go bowling...his absolute favorite thing in the world. He is developmentally delayed because of a seizure disorder and is slowly learning to talk. His first word was bowling! haha. So all day I've been hearing "bowling, bowling, bowling", so cute! lol

Lotus - We lived in Michigan for 2 years right after DH and I were married. We lived in Northville, about 30 miles outside of Detroit. I've trying to remember where it is on my hand...lol.

thats about it! I have tons going on this week!

Oh I do want to go buy those hand weights for water. I have been doing pool workouts but those weights would do so much!!!

Good job with the water exercises! I still need to walk today. I'm thinking it won't be until the kiddos are sleeping. I feel like I've been saying "no" or "stop" all day. DH is out of town so it's been a little crazy! My goal tomorrow is to be out most of the day and sufficiently wear them out

I just drug mine...waaaayyyyy easier!


I'm kidding! I is hard when you don't get any break! Mine are old enough that is is a lot easier but when they were babies its just emotionally draining!

How long is he gone for?


Tomorrow I am getting my carpets cleaned so been cleaning today getting everything off the floor and doing a good vacuum. Then Friday my cleaning lady starts!!! Its her first time! I am super super excited to try this!

yes it would be easier! I know, I keep reminding myself they're only little once.

DH gets home Friday at 11 am to be exact...not that I'm keeping track or anything

That's exciting you have a cleaning lady coming! My mom used to have a lady come every couple of weeks or so when I was little. We used to laugh because my mom would clean the house before the cleaning lady came over so she wouldn't think we were a complete mess!

Well you only have 1 day left then! Friday morning will be so quick you really don't even count that!


We had a minor problem here today. I just switched TV service about 2 weeks ago. Well today they are fighting with the provider of all the Nick channels and about 20 others but mostly everything my girls watch and they just shut them off!!! I was thinking it was going to be a tantrum filled day but neither said a word about it really. I was really surprised they were so good about it!


Yeah I am really excited about the cleaning lady! I know it won't stay clean even for the remainder of that day but its going to be nice to have some help!!!

Oh my goodness, that's with Directv right? Some friends on facebook were talking about that last night. That's great that your girls were okay with it. As long as they didn't touch Bravo I would probably be okay too...lol. Hopefully they will figure out this dispute soon!

I took the boys to the playground this morning and just finished a little cleaning. DD is finally taking a nap, so I think I will try to get a little one in too!

Yup direct tv. Just bad timing since we just switched to them and then this happens!


How was hubby's trip home? Bet your glad to have him back!!! How do the kids handle him being gone? Mine are always upset when mine has to go anywhere!


Girls I have been a bad girl all week!!!!

Even went to a chinese buffet for lunch. Got a fortune cookie that basically called me fat!
