Good evening--

I made it to the gym and had a good workout. I'm having a lot of anxiety about my neighbors. They just don't belong living in a multifamily development. They had another party this weekend with a herd of people all over the place yelling, screaming. We had our windows closed, air conditioning and TV on and we could still hear them. There was no where we coudl go in our house where we weren't affected. Time to hire an attorney.

The vet visit went OK. Zora was really frightened, climbed in my lap while we were waiting. The vet made me muzzle her and she really calmed down and she was pretty cooperative, trying to hide behind me. She has to go back in a few weeks for more shots--the vet doesn't like to give them all at once because there could be a reaction.

Any who--must work on DH's proposal for work from the County.

Have a good evening!

Good Morning Slimmers!

I am growing very frustrated with the scale. I seem to be stuck at 129. I have been working my butt off and eating super clean. My goal for this week was 126 but there's no way that is going to happen now.

I was thinking last night while I was on the treadmill....................what should my heartrate be while doing cardio? I use to know when I had a personal trainer but can't remember now.

I am going to do 2 sessions of cardio on the treadmill today. I think I am going to try to get myself ready for a 5K again. I may try to dig out my workout DVDs.

I came across a picture yesterday of my self from June 1, 2002. That was 21 days before I started Atkins. O my gosh it made me sick to see myself. It was a wake up call to remind myself that I always need to take care of myself.

beth: Yikes about your neighbors! I would hate having neighbors like that. Do you live in a subdivision that there are rules for? Or does your city have rules about quiet hours?

Weight was about the same today. Went to yoga last night, and it was a really good class and Im getting better at it, but the instructor.. oh my gosh.. her voice.. every time she said something it would go up to the same note EVERY TIME. A whole HOUR of that was quite annoying. This morning I did pilates.. not going to do anything tonight and give my body a half break before step class tomorrow. Not feeling very well.. think allergies are hitting me again.

I would have thought with all the exercise Ive been doing and the clean eating, that I would be well into the 70s by now. I DO feel smaller, and lighter, but I guess Im building muscle... come on scale! I need NUMBERS!

No word from Curt about Saturday.. I haven't given up hope completely, but I am beginning to plan when and how I am going to go talk to him. He has his kids this weekend and all week (they are 8th and 9th grade) .. I just dont know if I can wait another week until I know the kids aren't going to be there or say the heck with it, and just go. Im just afraid everything I need to say and the questions I need to ask will all be GONE at that moment and Ill go blank!

Rachel: I actually took my first kettlebell class this week! I liked it, it was a good workout! I got two weights in case one was too light or too heavy (which was good because depending on what we were doing I had to switch). I felt it in my back and was afaid I was hurting it, so I stopped a couple times and streched it.. my friend said you have to hold in your abs the whole time or you will feel it more in your back.

Beth: Aww fur babies can be so much like real babies sometimes! Poor thing!

Chocgirl: I am afraid to eat too much.. its so hard to find the right balance of eating and exercising. It seems lately I have to eat not much and exercise like crazy just to see the scale move down!

Charlene: Whats new?

Hey guys! Ran out of time this morning, so stopping by on lunch break.

I registered for a 5K on May 12!!! Holy COW!!! This morning I went to run at the school, BUT, my left hip joint where the thigh and hip join pounded with pain! YIKES! I had to stop and walk to rest of the way. I wonder if maybe I've been OVERDOING it lately - because I've been doing cardio even on days I didn't have to. I hope I haven't screwed something up and there are no refunds. I will just walk it if I can't run. I'm in a size 14 pant today!!! I've had these pants since 2006 when a friend passed down her clothes to me!

Rachel! So funny you mentioned a picture! I went through photos last night and found 6 where I look to be 260 pounds at least! I remember I had quit weighing back then and I was LARGE! My husband said, "Get rid of those!" lol (cause he didn't look too good either!) but I told him heck no, I'm saving them to remind myself how far I've come!! Your maximum heart rate is 220 minus your age. Your training heart rate needs to be between 60-70% of that to burn the maximum amount of calories - and keep it there 30 min or more (from what I remember). However, I find 120 ish (which is what mine says is like a stroll to me!) No way do I get a workout there - I hardly sweat! I keep mine between 140-150 instead. There is a calculator out there on the web and it actually says I'm right to be between 140-150.

Diane - you are kicking butt on the working out! Good job! I'm on pins and needles about the while Curt thing! Talk about annoying, I remember I use to love to work out to TV aerobics and this one chick, you may remember her, Denise Austin, her voice annoyed the HECk outta me!!! She was always like, "Good!" I finally couldn't stomach her anymore even though she was very fit.

Chocgirl - How goes it today? Glad to see the scale was moving the other way!

Beth - your neighbors - I'm so sorry! Nothing is worse! I hope you get some relief soon! What do the police say?

Have a great day everyone!!!

P.S. My dh needs some prayers for tonight. He asked for something from this school district and after alll he's been through, he deserves it, but I'll wait until after the meeting tonight to tell you the specifics. You never know who's lurking about....

Good morning ladies,

I am not feeling all that great today, but at least I am working from home. Tomorrow is an office clean-up and I've been waiting for that so I can clean up my desk.

I live in a condo and we have rules, of which this family has broken about every one. Its like dealing with toddlers--constant course correction. As for smoking and noise, my town had ordinances about second hand smoke and what they call uncontroled groups (which is any group of 3 or more people who are causing a ruckus, regardless of time of day. I really don't want to have this become an advesarial relationship, but this is ridiculous. We have been here for 15 years and have never had an issue with our downstairs neighbors (all 5 different families)

Charlene--can't wait to hear how this evening goes. You may be pushing it too hard and hurt yourself. We're all not quite as young as we would like to be.

Rachel--my target heart rate is 115-140. When I'm on the bike I'm usually in the 130s when I'm working hard, the 120s are a slight workout. 220-your age times 70-85% of that rate.

Chocgirl--how are thing?

Diane--you are an exercise beast. I hope that things work this weekend and you get some answers.

Must get some work done. BBL

Diane

Oh happy day! Ohhhh happy day!!! Guess who I heard from!? I actually called him earlier today and left a message.. just a simple, "Thought I would take a chance and call, it would be nice to talk to you.. hope you are ok and hopefully we will talk soon" or something like that... it was tempting to say more, but I restrained myself. Anyway, tonight I got a text from him saying it looks like Kings Island will work Saturday, he just needs to make sure his son has somethng to do. Just when I all but gave up hope... Im not so much nervous as I am excited, and anxious to hear what he has to say!

Im kinda mad at myself.. I ate some Pringles today.. ugh! Been good the rest of the day, and you can BET I will be good tomorrow! One more day before KI!!! I need to up the water too.. Oh what am I going to wear Saturday?

Ha! You guys talking about old pictures? I found MY before pictures (it wasn't quite my heaviest, but it was close).. I showed my kids and they were shocked! They said they dont remember me being that big! I do for sure.. some days I still FEEL like Im that big.

Beth: That stinks about the neighbors.. I have some minor issues here occasionally.. like the LOUD car too early in the morning, or the occasional LOUD party guest (always the same girl) next door...

Charlene: for your hubby!

DD14 saw my picture from June 2002 and asked who I was pregnant with then. I had to tell her I wasn't pregnant and that the picture was taken 4 years AFTER she was born (she's my youngest). She apologized several times. But I told her that wasn't necessary because in fact I did look pregnant.

diane: Glad you heard from Curt! You will have to let us know what he says on Saturday.

beth: Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well today. I hope you feel lots better soon!

charlene: Take it easy on yourself and make sure you listen to your body!!

Allergies (I think) are kicking my behind today, but I STILL went and did the step class! Felt like going to bed afterwards though.. I was 180.8 this morning Its frustrating that Ive been a workout beast and have been eating good (except some Pringles yesterday), and the scale is being mean! Ugh what do I have to do? Stop eating? Work out all day? Like I said, I SEE a difference on my body, but I WANT to see it on the scale!

Forecast says rain tomorrow, but Curt said we go rain or shine... I hope it doesn't rain.. or at least not much. I cant wait to see him...

Gotta get ready for work, but Ill check back in later.

Noon post again today. It was dd14 birthday today and so we had to do a little primping and celebrating this morning before school.

Well, the thing I asked y'all to think about dh about - it went well! FINALLY a postive in this whole blessed mess! He went to the superintendent and asked to be paid through the summer and if they would do that, he would resign. Our problem and stress was that if he left this job and took an assistant job, we would lose 2 months pay. We are saving them probably $30,000 or more depending on who takes his place so I thought they MIGHT go for it, but they have been so ugly to him in the past, I wasn't sure. But, now that means FOR SURE he will not be here which means we don't know where we'll end up. I'm just happy they did the right thing.

Diane - keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow! You must update as soon as you can! I hope you've measured! You will NOT believe the inches you are losing by working out so much.

Chocgirl - I think it's soooooo much slower this time around than in previous years, but I am trucking on! You can do this! Just remember how good you feel and how there's not that "cloud" of carbs and funky feeling that comes from eating them. I feel so good on this WOE.

Beth - sure hope you're feeling better and get some neighbor relief soo!

Rachel - I hope you've got that photo up for some good motivation for the lower 120's!!

Have a good day!!

I wish I had taken measurments, but I didn't.. oh well.. Im just going to keep doing what Im doing and I know it will go down at some point.

Well he is picking me up a little after 9am.. he has to pick up his daughter near where I live, so I am assuming she is going to, probably with a friend or two. She and her friends dont hang out with us, so we will still have plenty of time "alone" with the thousands of people at Kings Island lol! I hope he at least picks me up first so we have a FEW minutes to talk before there are kids in the car.

Well... Im going to figure out what Im going to wear (its going to be chilly and may rain) and try to go to bed early so I can get up with plenty of time to get ready! I will let you guys know how it goes!

Evening Slimmers!

I am feeling super frustrated this week. Each day that I see 129 on the scale I went to call it quits. I just don't understand why the scale can't move downward when I eating clean and working out every single day. I do sometimes wonder if my calories are too low.

Just got done with 45 minutes on the treadmill. I did 3+ miles and burnt 500 calories. I had my heartrate in the upper 160s most of the time.

Went to the eye dr today. Didn't get great news. The dr wants me to start taking breaks from wearing contacts. He is unable to get me to clear vision with glasses now. I had my eyes dialated to check for any problems. All came back fine. The dr said my eyes may be inflamed from extended contact wearing. So, I ordered new glasses (cheetah print) and plan to TRY to wear those a day a week if at all possible.

diane: I can't wait to hear from ya after tomorrow!!!

charlene: That's great news that the school agreed. Positive thoughts still with you and your family.

chocgirl: Hang in there! Seems like we are all mad at the scale!

beth: I hope you felt better today!

Good morning! Back from Bootcamp and feeling awesome - except that bum hip - but it's NOT going to get me down! I will prevail! Muhahaha. Ok, a little overboard on the wicked laugh, but I have to laugh at the hell we go through or else I'd be miserable!

Took dd 14 and 11 out with friends last night for dd14 birthday dinner. We ate pizza - I ate the toppings and a large salad. I shopped for some new stuff at drug emporium (I've been hearing about green coffee extract and hemp seed, so I got those and some 0 carb cookies - they are ok - not great so I froze them). We watched "The Lucky One" and I loved it! Cute story. I bought myself some new running shoes!!! I'm excited!

Diane - I will be thinking of you all day and wondering how it's going!!!Next week will be 4 months since you saw him, right? I can't wait to hear all about it and am thinking positive thoughts for a wonderful day!!!

Rachel - you may be eating too little or just reached a dreaded plateau....I've heard of people being on a stall for months and months before. You have to be doing your body good working out and eating right, so just keep working and as long as you feel good, that's your motivation!

Hiya Chocgirl and Beth - Hope your days is great!

I've got a filthy house to clean and may even test out the new mower on the lawn (we've had it several weeks, but the darn thing wouldn't run - it had a bad hose).

Have a great day!!!

Ahhh well, we got to ride Diamondback (our favorite coaster) twice before it started to POUR rain, so I am happy about that. I was afraid it would rain all day and we wouldnt even go! It went pretty well.. once his DD went off with her friend, he started to tell me what he's been going through. I can't go into detail, obviously I have to respect his privacy, but I can say it is issues with his kids and his ex - apparently she is moving to Arizona. So there are custody issues as well. He didnt even tell me all of it, but what he did tell me was enough for me to accept it. I said, "Why didnt you just tell me?" And he said for one thing he didnt think it would take so long, but it was one thing after another, and when he has problems like that he is "all in it".. consumed. Besides, I DID say in my email that I would give him time and space to deal with things if that was what he needed..

So.. we will see how it goes. I think everything will work out just fine, but there are still things he is dealing with so I have to remember that and not worry if I dont hear from him all the time. I am sure he hasn't been seeing anyone else.. not with all that going on.

Sure was great to see him.. but I could see he has been through the ringer.

Awwww Diane! So happy you got to see him and get a few answers. {{{hugs}}} I know it is such a relief to get that initial meeting over with. Maybe he'll see how patient you've been and let you "in" more and more. I pray things go okay for him and his family situation.

Thanks Charlene! It is a HUGE relief to have seen and talked to him... it was actually kind of neat going to ride Diamondback the first time seeing each other. He held my hand on the ride Wish the weather wasnt so bad we could have stayed a lot longer... oh well, things happen for a reason.. like, I needed to go home and go to bed!!! What I thought were allergies is apparently much worse. I kept waking up all night because I felt bad.. my throat, lungs, ugh.. allergy meds were not helping, so this morning I took Mucinex which helped enough to get me through Kings Island (even though I sounded like Peppermint Patty) lol.. as soon as I got home though I went to bed and I feel like I was hit by a truck! Lungs feel like a brick in there and body aches. One good things is I have no appetite..

I just hate to miss it since I didnt take any classes yesterday. All the "gunk" is still in my lungs, and I still feel achey but not as much as last night. Im feeling more congestion in my head as well. What a rotton lousy time to be sick! Im on a roll with the exercise classes, and just saw Curt for the first time in forever.. booooo!

Diane-if you're sick from the neck up, light exercise is OK, from the neck down (like your lungs) not a good idea.

Afternoon Slimmers!

Scale continues to be 129. I am starting to feel like it is never going to move below 129. On a plus note though, I can get my Silvers size 29" off without unbuttoning or unzipping them.

Had a great afternoon/evening with DH and DD17 yesterday. We did lots of shopping then had supper at Texas Roadhouse. I went off plan for some cactus blossom though. DD17 got 2 dresses. She will wear 1 to an awards ceremony tomorrow night. She might wear the other to either baccaulerate or graduation.

Just did 35 minutes on the treadmill. I did 2.35 miles and burnt 350 calories. I am going to do another 30-45 minutes before bed. I am finding the closer to bed that I workout that the better I sleep.

It has been a rainy, cold weekend here! Suppose to reach the 80s this week so I'm very excited!

diane: Hope you feel better soon! Take care of yourself and don't over do it!! So very glad that you finally got to talk to Curt and get some answers!

chocgirl: WTG!

charlene: Sounds like you had a fun pizza party Friday night! Not sure I can handle being stalled for a couple of months. I'm not sure how people handle that.

beth: What are you up to today?

215 after several days of returning to eating after being sick, so I changed my stats! I'm knocking on 40lb's door!!!

It's a rest day workout wise for me - though I usually do something. However, with the hip pain, I may utilize the rest day today.

Had a beautiful youth service at church today and both my girls sang again - made their daddy tear up....

Yay Chocgirl for the 223!!

Rachel - the shopping trip sounds fun. WTG on your workouts!

Diane - sorry you're sick. Get better soon!

Beth - What have you been up to today?

Hello Ladies,

I went to the gym today and had a nice workout. Tried to work off all fo the stress from my nasty neighbors. DH and I are talking about moving--perhaps not immediately, but this year. I looked at another unit in oure development and realized that we really have one of the best--we should be able to get a good price for it.

DH had a gig last night, which was great--I ran the sound board.

Anyway--its time for bed. Be back tomorrow!

Good Morning Slimmers!

I am beyond frustrated right now. The scale is at 130 this morning. Not sure what I'm going to do.

DD17 has 9 days left of school. She graduates on May 25th. My other 2 kiddos have 13 days left of school. I am looking forward to have them home for the summer.

beth: Have you saw a lawyer about your neighbors yet?

charlene: You go girl!!!! Super proud of you for being in your last week of Body For Life!!!

Scale was down a tad to 188.4. I am feeling somewhat better today, and even went to a yoga class tonight.

While I feel somewhat better after talking to him Saturday, in a way I feel worse. I needed more time! It certainly wasn't the ideal place to talk. I wish I could do it over again and do things a little different.. ask a few more questions. I guess Im still pretty confused. He didnt say anything about seeing me again, but that doesn't really mean anything, it just would have been nice. I just feel nervous and sad. Darn it.. I really hoped I would feel ALL better. I guess it will take some time... and like I said, he is still having these problems for a while longer.. Im just feeling overwhlemed with life and want things to go back to how they were. Ill see how the next week goes...

Personals tomorrow.. going to bed!

Good morning! I just completed a 4.12 mile course at the school and jogged 2of those sloooowly, but I jogged! Maybe I will make it 3.2 on the day of the 5k! I fit into some more pants that I have had since 2006 - I held them up this morning and said, "Awwww....too small..." but I tried them on anyway and they FIT!!! I'm wearing them to school today!

Ok, Diane - I think that's a typo? Did you mean 178? Bless your heart, I wondered if that was enough time with him to make you feel better. Gosh, you've been so patient. I just don't know if I could...

Oh, Rachel - graduation....we are here for you! It's such a proud moment but also such a sad one. They grow up so fast. Sorry the scale is being stinky to you.

Beth - that's awful that it's come to making you want to move. It looks like there should be some kind of ordinance against this kind of thing. I'd almost be tempted to blast them out at 3:00 a.m. with dh's music! *snicker*

How ya doing chocgirl?

Everybody have a great day!!

Good Morning Slimmers!

Scale is at 128 this morning. But I'm not going to get too excited. I had a super busy day yesterday and didn't eat much. I also didn't get a workout in yesterday.

DD17 had an awards banquet last night and walked away with 4 scholarships. Super proud of her!!!

charlene: WTG on your jog this morning!!!

diane: Hang in there!

Oops! Yes I meant 178 yesterday! Maybe Im still used to typing an 8 for the 80s.

I am up 1lb this morning, but still in the 70s at 179.4. I know I should have downed a lot more water yesterday. Skipped kettlebell class this morning because Im still feeling too sick for cardio.. I think I could handle pilates or yoga but thats about it right now... but they dont have those this morning. I felt a little stiff at yoga last night probably because I didnt exercise for a couple days. Oh yeah, it felt like "cheerleader yoga" again because that one girl with the voice that elevates at the end of everything she says was teaching the class.. ugh! I was more sweaty than usual, but I think it was more because Im sick, but it felt good to do the yoga anyway! As much as it used to bore me, Im actually enjoying it quite a lot now!(except for "the voice")

I think I am just overwhelmed with everything right now.. its HARD being single, financially, and sometimes emotionally.. I get tired of living week to week. So many things worrying me right now with money, school, kids, car.. and the whole Curt thing makes everything else that much worse. If that part of my life was ok then the rest would be easier to deal with... or if the other stuff was ok, dealing with the Curt thing would be easier (maybe).. but all of it together is, well, overwhelming. Ill find my stength again.. I always do. Its just getting harder and harder!

If I could just quit my other classes and just concentrate on art, I would be so happy!

Charlene: Isnt that great!? I remember going to the store and grabbing a bunch of size 10 jeans and every pair I held up I looked at em and said "there is NO WAY those are going to fit!" but they all did, and comfortably! Same thing happened with some 8s a while ago, but that was when I was close to 170. Ill get there again! Congrats!!!

Rachel: 4 scholarships?? That amazing! I know, its sometimes hard to get too excited when the scale drops because it could go right back up the next day without any rhyme or reason to it.. like with me today!

Beth: It MUST be bad for you to consider moving. Maybe you'll get lucky and THEY will move. Ugh, I cant stand inconsiderate obliviots like that!

Chocgirl: Where are ya?
