adam is a nice kid - i hope he is well as well :-)

ff, good discipline saving the tuna for monday...it makes curfew easier to adhere to when you eat a bit later, so 8 p.m. sounds like a good time for dinner...

i am .2 lbs. lighter today and have lost 2 lbs. since monday...223.6 today, and having a great day so far:
b: skipped
l: 3 oz. broiled fish and a couple of ounces of roasted LC veggies...
d: i'm thinking a salad topped with chicken salad, but may grill steaks for the rest of the fam...

tony, u are not only a great artist....but a great

PORTION CONTROL WIZARD. 3 oz of broiled fish!!! incredible. I would love to be happy with 3 oz of anything. Apart from weight loss, that would really stretch a slip of latinum. FF

marilee, adam is a friend of ours from LCF...ff knew him long before the blitzes started two years ago, but i met him as he participated in blitz I with us in the spring of 2010...nice kid from the midwest - i wanna say minnesota but i'm not positive...lost a lot of weight and was doing well last time we saw him...just a kind, gentle young man...

ff, portion control is really hard at first, but after a few days and since i combined it with copious amounts of fluid, it seems to be getting much easier...i am making decaf green tea and adding a good amount of cinnamon to the boiling mixture and then icing it...flavorful and healthy...supposed to be excellent for controlling blood sugar levels...all i drink is that and water...

making some eggplant parm and steaks tonight - gonna try to get away with a small portion of each as i'm still not very hungry...

Hi All!!! Haven't weighed today, will tomorrow- so nervous after my 192!

I got my shirataki noodles in today, and made a lil something... they truly have no flavor, just whatever you cookjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjj... sorry, David Beckham was just in a mcdonalds commercial on my tv. Soooo lovely! (said in my best posh spice accent)

k, ADD moment over- the noodles tasted like what i made them with, and i sauteed them in butter, then added a splash of hwc, few shakes of parmesan and black pepper. decent enough of a little impromptu alfredo. BUT- the texture!!! i dove right in head first with a spooled fork full of noodle, and the only thing i could compare with is... I imagine this is what it'd be like to have a mouf-full of jellyfish... i shared a very award moment with the refrigerator while tried to decide how i ultimately felt about them. In the end i did save the rest. Definitely will cook other items in the noodles next time.

The game was super fun!!! we were 1 row above the dugout on Dbacks side. Got to see the players coming and going, and get closeups of bulging leg muscles. I did have juuuuuuust 1 Michelob Ultra, no other goodies. Super tough though, the others I was with had subs, and pretzels with CHEESE (i lub pretzel cheez!) and ice cream. But for every time i said, no- they reminded me of my awesome resolve and that was all it took to take my mind off the nom noms.

The real struggle will be Easter! My boyfriends mom make pierogies and they are soooohohohooooooo good. stuffed with cottage cheese, mozzerella, and onion. Fewer pleasures exist, my friends. I'll have to engage in a little foodporn and have everyone describe their eating experiences to me.

Have a great night, and happy Friday!

Artemis, I wish my body would listen better to what my brain is telling it to do! I envy you your family fish fry, Love fried cat fish fillets with lots of tartar sauce! The 11 years I worked at acorrugated box plant in Alabama we would all go to the only restaurant nearby once a week and would all have the fish fry. Tony, that was good for about 30 pounds over the years plus many other high carb foods.

Artemis, I thought of you trying to get up the day after your kick boxing class. I felt that way after painting a whole room yesterday. Up and down the ladder, moving furniture out of the way. By the time I got home I felt like a zombie!

Marilee, what a terrific landscaper for bringing the 15 gallon bouganvilla instead of the 5 gallon ones! Please take pictures when you get a chance. Your Easter meal sounds like the one we are having at my sister's house. Ham, asparagus and deviled eggs. Love tradition. Good going on the 2.8 pounds gone!

FF, I remember going back and reading earlier posts when I joined this group and reading what Adam had to post. Do wonder how he is doing. Glad you are a "troll with a goal"! lol

BlondieBlue, my strategy for eating a hot dog at the game would be to get one in the bun and just use the bun to hold it with all the mustard etc. then just move it along the bun until it was gone. Wrap the bun in your napkin and throw it away. If someone said anything about not eating the bread just tell them you are allergic to wheat. Have you already bought your groomsmen dress? What color and style. Enquiring minds love to know these details.

Tony, if that green tea with cinnamon is curbing your hunger I may have to brew some up. Nothing seems to work with me! Eggplant parmesan and steak sounds like a great combination. Did you and your buddy from Brattleboro have a productive meeting?

Hope everyone has a great day. Going to tackle the hallway up the stair way today without any scaffolding. Wonder how much of a mess I can make rolling paint on the wall and ceiling hanging over the bannister? Better put down alot of drop cloths!

blondie, congrats on being a "good girl" at the game, although i had to read the line about the bulging leg muscles twice... it all took a lot of willpower - i'm proud of you!...

those noodles have been mentioned on here before and everyone seems to have the same reaction to them...i think it was kbeth who left them in her fridge for a loooong time because she couldn't find the resolve to actually ingest them...hmmmm...

another good night last night - quit eating by 8 - and limited myself to 4 oz of ribeye and a reasonable helping of eggplant parm...

today we are hitting a restaurant for my daughter's birthday and it will be baked chicken...this morning an hb egg white and maybe some lkeftover broiled fish for lunch!...

where's abi???

ooops, there she is...sorry i didn't see you, abs... ;-0

yup, we had a very productive meeting...it's always great to be together but we got a lot done and he was so happy i drove over...

the green tea and cinnamon is healthy and may be contributing to the curbing of my hunger - whi knows?...but for some reason, this has been getting easier and easier this week...

be careful in that hallway with no scaffolding!...now i'm gonna worry about ya...

Did some more kickboxing last night while my laundry was going...how I do love multi-tasking. Got up way early to pack my bag so that I could come into work early with hopes of leaving early. I am so jacked up on caffeine right now Better enjoy it while I can because as of next week, it'll be no caffeine for 3 weeks

As for the fish fry, they are doing catfish as well as my personal favorite, crappie. And, it's pronounced "crop"-ie. You won't find it in any of the restaurants in the south, you have to go out and catch them yourself. Which I also love doing. I am mostly worried about all the Easter treats around and my nephew's birthday party is tomorrow so gotta avoid the cake and ice cream. Speaking of ice cream, my boss is taking us for some this afternoon as a thank you for all of our hard work this week. We had hours worth of procedures every morning. I don't know how to get outta that one.

Tony, managed not to fall in the stairwell and got that wall and the ceiling above painted. Had to be pretty creative with duck taping paint brushes and rollers to long poles to get it all covered and consistent coverage. For someone who never exercises I sure am getting a workout now! Was down a pound today. Don't know if it was from the added exercise or only having tuna salad and a green salad yesterday. I'll take it!

There is nothing as heavenly as a mixture of meat, guacamole, sour cream and cheese and mexican seasoning!

BlondieBlue, your description of the shiritaki noodles was hysterical. I think I will pass on them! lol

FF, you and me too - 3oz of fish? I can eat a 6oz can of tuna and still be hungry. We have got to start brewing that Green tea and cinnamon that Tony is drinking!

Artemis, hoping they have some low carb ice cream for you but I'm with Tony, just have some and enjoy it! Good luck with avoiding the Easter candy at home. Why can't you have any caffeine for 3 weeks?

Need to make potato salad for the Easter dinner tomorrow at my sister's house. If I were energetic I could cook up some cauliflower and mix mayo etc. with it for my own mock potato salad. Have never done that put I hear it is not bad.

May check back in later. Have a great Saturday all!

Happy Saturday All! Still sittin pretty at 192.0. boom! I'm trying to devise a master plan that will leave me at 185 (or 180- the universe willing...) by May 5th.... hmmm...

In the meantime my hands are staind orangey (tanning lotion)... ANNNND my stomach is too. i'm so bad at applying an even coat, why does applying a lotion need to be a science?!

Last night boyfriend was wandering the house talking to his mom on the phone (he's pacing-talker...every time.) while i was slicing cucumbers. I heard him utter the words "mom, i need you to make me a large container of pierogies to take home..." i swear this is what went down in the seconds that followed; i ninja jumped over the kitchen counter, vaulting over a 50 gallon turtle tank (friends, meet my amphibious buddies, Lost & Found) to land infront of boyfriend the cucumber blade, still in hand and pressed up against his neck and i whispered, "don't. you. dare....bringthoseintothishouse!" okay- so thats how it went down in MYYYY mind, but really i did point the knife at him from in the kitchen and screamed "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!"

thinking maybe i'll make a nice steak for dinner tomorrow and maybe do a foil pouch with broccoli and asparagus and some homemade garlic butter. noms.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Ahhhhh - enjoying my first cup of coffee with cream in 40 days and boy does it taste heavenly! Made my potato salad for Easter dinner at my sister's today. I did make a small mock salad with cauliflower for me but unless something magical happened in the frig last night it will not be close enough to satisfy me.

Tony, if I don't have to strip wall paper off your hallway first I am game to paint it and not fall over the bannister. lol Hope you enjoyed your chicken feast last night!

BlondieBlue, nice profile picture! I hate tanning creams. I have tried every different kind and have never been happy with the results. The worst thing for me is the scent. They smell good in the tube but to me have a chemical smell after the fact. I just don't have time to get out in the sun anymore to get one naturally.

Marilee, hope Tony didn't creep you out with that image of the easter scorpion bringing you goodies. eeew Makes me think of the termite commercial where this big creepy termite is at the door askling the guy could he use his phone because his car broke down.

Hope you all have a wonderful day. Here is a picture of one of my nephews coloring eggs yesterday. Great idea to keep clothes to a minimum for this job!

happy holidays everyone!...

abi, there's no wallpaper to take down...do i seem ambitious enough to have put up wallpaper in the first place?...very cute photo of your nephew - i miss those days with my kids although the easter bunny still comes and leaves goodies and plastic eggs filled with candy hidden all over the house...the kids don't look as hard as they used to, so i am still finding them in the weirdest places in july!...

good luck with that cauliflower salad - let me know how it compares...my wife is making potato salad this week, and is making mac and cheese today, so i'm gonna need all my resolve!...

i'm grilling steak tips and making steamed veggies - so that will be good enough for me...the chicken feast last night was ridiculous...they just keep bringing you platters of food until you say "no mas"...after doing an autopsy on my plate, i realized i ate almost a whole small chicken!...i think i was 1/2 breast short...had a few of their fried potatoes which look like a french fry but are much better, and some salad with oil and vinegar, but avoided the shells and the bread...i felt uncomfortable when i left, but i didn't eat much of anything else all day so i don't think my calorie intake and carb intake was too bad...

blondie, you're a cutie and a ninja too?...great story and i have a thing for women wielding knives, paintbrushes, lingerie, potato chips, convertibles, gardening tools, books, radios, scissors, throw pillows, gasoline, air mattresses, whipped cream, guitars, sheepskin anything, lollipops, handcuffs, string cheese, lacrosse sticks, ice cubes, digital cameras and.............................did i mention knives?....

i'll check in later kids...

greetings HEWMON BLITZERS ALL

I trust your holidays are going well. I see y'all are cooking up good stuff. I scored 150% in the PORTION CONTROL DEPT., in the past 48 hours. No seconds on anthing, except water, coffee, and zucchini. I had EXTEMELY SMALL PORTIONS of kugels, and not both at the same meal. Each portion was 10% of what I used to consider a portion. I seem to have acquired new techno-crises; this time with my phone. It made me boiling mad,so much so that on the way home, i was planning a major starch festival. We can all exhale now. The threat is defused. I am getting some STEAMED (like I just was)chinese veggies-i will saute them myself with oodles and oodles of garlic plus a critter to go with them. Luciano is coming by later, hopefully to resolve, once and for all the DVD/computer crisis. Enjoy this day. Talk to y' all tomorrow. FF

Had one of those "didn't sleep a wink" nights last night. It is going to be a tough Monday. Hoping when I get going on my next project this morning I will forget I am running on fumes!

We had a great time yesterday at my sister's. Lots of good food and laughs. I ate a little of everything so going to keep it to a minimum today. Tony, the mock potato salad still didn't taste that great the next day. I will probably add more mayo to it to finish it off. I hate to waste food. Maybe I should just rinse the mayo off it and just heat it up with some butter? We'll see.

Artemis, good luck on the detox! Did you have fun at your folks house? These holiday get togethers are tiring even if fun.

FF, hope Luciano got everything going with your DVD/computer crises! Good going on keeping your portion sizes down!

Ha Ha Tony, no I didn't really think you had put wallpaper on your stairway! Funny to think about you finding easter eggs months later!

Marilee, I think the little kids did have fun dyeing the eggs and I came home with a dozen very pretty ones. Will hate to break their shells. My niece bought all the ladies orchids in vases and then the vase was enclosed in a clear plastic box to protect it while traveling. I will have to keep mine in the box until it goes by because I have two naughty cats that would try to eat it - they are probably poison too. But I still am enjoying looking at it. It is a big orchid with cream and pale pink petals and a darker pink center.

How is Vicki doing? Have you talked to her this week?

BlondieBlue, how was your weekend?

Hope you all have a great Monday!

Abi, i would be hungry after consuming a 6 foot tuna

Luciano was not over last night. Just as well. I was not ready for company. I will have him over some evening this week. I DID survive yesterday w/o going over 20 gr of carbs. I left the veggies go till today and tomorrow. I had the chicken my sister in law made. It was delicious. However, later on I was thinking off-plan thoughts. What saved me was knowing how lousy I was feeling (I am feeling somewhat better now, but room for much improvement). I consumed the 1% whipped cottage cheese (the whole 16 oz container)-total 16 gr of carbs. that still put me below 20 grams for the day...but not an example of portion control.). No one is perfect. what i was thinking to have was the twin cheeseburger deluxe with a a side of french fried onion rings, not to mention the pound cake and ice cream. Now you have some idea what I was eating in Jan & Feb. At least 100 gr carbs right there. I am glad I was able to "reason" that one out. Also, although a virtual heathen, i do respect the rules of my earth family's faith. No bread for the 8 days (no matzoh either for me...no low carb matzoh has been invented to my knowledge) So, I am okay now. Tonight i will have the brisket with the garlicky veggies. I am garlicking everything now. First of all, I love garlic. Secondly, I hope it will have a hand in controlling my blood pressure.Claims have been made for garlic by every doctor and nutritionist that it helps control hypertension. Thirdly, it will keep vampires away. Love & Profits: For those who do not know Adam (aka WARRIOR SCHOLAR), I had been communicating with him for at least 2 years before I created the Blitzes. I thought we were brothers. then he upped and disappeared. I was deeply wounded. It took a long time to heal. FF

happy monday everyone!...

well, we all seem to have survived a very chocolatey holiday - i am proud to say i ate NONE...had a healthy portion of steak tips and steamed broccoli and at night when i was craving carbs, had another steak tip...

overall, i ate well, but quite a few calories over the weekend and will have a low cal day today in anticipation of weigh-in tomorrow...

abi, good luck salvaging that cauliflower :-) happy you had a nice holiday...

artemis, sorry you are worn out - you and i are gonna be strict-buddies this week, so keep your chin up!

ff, try not to take adam's absence personally...i'm sure the support you guys gave each other was invaluable to both of you...the one thing we can count on in life is change and look at all the nice people who have moved in now that adam has moved on...we should all enjoy each other while we have each other and then enjoy the memories when we don't...happy you had such willpower over the weekend - you have a great jumping-off point to the week!

today:
b: hb egg white
l: ?
d: stir fry with veggies and cut up steak tips
and lot and lots of green tea with cinnamon which we had been out of this weekend...

i'm feeling strong and know this is gonna be a great week!

I think i'm getting a sickie bug... just feeling all around ugh today...or maybe it's just a typical Monday where i need just another day to chill out and rest will contemplate career changes until about 530pm...

Easter was lovely. I turned the misters on in the back yard and spent most of the afternoon outside reading. Made dinner of steak, and then steamed broccoli and asparagus with hollandaise... the veggies came out sooooo yum with the hollandaise sauce.

Saturday was nice too, except i spent 5 hours in a mall (i hate malls.) looking for a formal dress and found nothing! But i did finish the trip off well with a stop at victorias secret, my happy place. where everything is soft and pretty and smells nice.

Nice picture, blondieblue! We now get to see what you look like.

I had a quiet Easter. The paver layer never showed up so the part of my patio area is still undone. Bummer!

Started my hcg this weekend so I'm on plan.

Have a great day everyone!

low and behold...i was surprised with 1/2 cup tuna salad

about which i had completely forgotten. It was from Thursday's lunch. I planned to have it for Break #1 at 10:15am. I got so involved with my Latin, that I forgot about it AGAIN. What is happening to me...FORGETTING ABOUT FOOD??? I just finished it. it took me all of 39 seconds to consume. they do tuna, chicken, and egg salad very well here. No point in making my own until after i retire. My earth brother did my taxes yesterday. Theoretically, i have a net profit (hey...it's my freakin' latinum these revenuers are stealing, not theirs)of about $100.00. I promise I will spend, it when it comes, in no productive or constructive way whatsoever. Well, Tony, i know u will not disappear on us like Adam. (i have all the airports covered hahaha). FF

marilee, can't wait to see your patio when it's done...good luck with the hcg - it worked well last time...
