Gosh it has been slow in here this week lol. They were able to do a temp filling. I had a "supersized" filling in that tooth and the back of my tooth behind the filling apparently broke off just above where it would have been into the nerve. As long as nothing happens to the nerve in the next week and a half they will go ahead and remove the temp one and do a permanent one. I have some soreness when I eat but so far, so good!
Finally back in VWL!!! Weighed today and the scale kept bouncing between 189.5 and 190. So I must be somewhere around .75. Exciting news to me

Kristyn sandals are cute & cool to wear but they will mess up your feet , legs & hips in a heartbeat. Get to feeing better & take a different pair of shoes for walking when you do so much.

Hi!
that you are having such frustration with the recovery from the surgery. I know it is ing and I feel your frustration - had similar situation with my knee replacement. However, !! I learned a lot ablut myself during the recovery that will help me through life to be a better person. Still look for the but ask & remember we are pulling for you!I heard from Needstobehealthy...She said she is OK but keeps falling off the wagon. She is so frustrated because she found out some of the 27 she has to take packs pounds on! I sent her my # so she can call if she wants to talk. ![]() I am sitting in my clean & organized house today. of all my Blessings! I feel like I am dreaming!Had tomato soup & this weekend & I always swell like a baloon when I do - but I was craving hot soup (Cambles tomato) & nothing else takes it's place. The jury is still out as to whether it was worth the swelling but I am thinking the craving is gone so I am not going to munch on everything trying to make it go away - so I guess ithe answer is yes. Have a tremendous week, Badgers!

Well I'm back...I have been bad bad bad and had fun fun fun lol We had a $2500 bill on the ship and most of it was a bar bill and I NEVER let loose like that anymore lol I'm up 11 pounds but I figure a lot of that is salt because the food was delish lol Of course I wanted to kick myself for a second when I weighed but then I thought, honestly I've been off plan for 3 weeks and considering at least some of it is probably salt/water (among the alcohol somewhere!)
Betting most of this will be gone by next week's weigh in. Hope all of you are doing great...I am canceling my next weekend's trip and staying home because I am just wiped out and I really want to get back on plan. I haven't been this tan in YEARS. I feel wonderful! Really had a great time!! |

Hey all...I had 4 moles removed this past Wednesday, and 2 came back pre melanoma from the pathologist, so I am so glad I went & had it done. I had it done at a plastic surgeon's bc I have read that they can do a better job as far as scars & whatnot. Getting stitches in my scalp removed Wed.
Will weigh tomorrow...I'm feeling bloated though. :-/ |

169 - meh - ate things I shouldn't have, but had a good weekend. My blood sugar is really good since I started yoga, so I can't complain. Not much to report - I just worked in the yard and lazed around (other than yoga).Watched movies, went to a restaurant and had a yucky hamburger.

Up 1 pound from last week
![]() Looked at previous weights this morning and I have lost almost 20 pounds in the past 2 years so I am pleased with that. Looking at what's been posted on our chart this morning, no one so far had a killer week this past week. Let's get back on it today. I need to hear/see some positive news! Hey all, last day of April!!
Oh boy! Jayce - good that you got those moles removed! Cara - party-hearty eh? Great job on the bar bill, ha ha, sounds like something I would have done. Yes, you will buckle down and get that cruise weight off, just focus on your goals. Amber - aw hun, sorry to hear your swelling is still acting up, do you think exercise would make it worse or maybe it would subside? Iam - yes, tomato soup is comfort food...however, yikes, read the Campbells label, all of their soups are so jam-packed with sodium, even those "Soup For Ones".... Mama23 - good to take a day off and let your legs do something else, hope they feel better today! I am UP a bit today, yesterday was DHs birthday and I did a dinner party for him with 2 other couples....a 4lb filet mignon on the grill, grilled mixed veggies, baked stuff potatoes (I skipped)...lots of wine and then I caved in at dessert big time... I made a mocha chiffon cake with cocoa whipped cream frosting...and had seconds. I confess!! But this BAHB is getting out at lunchtime for a BRISK WALK, brought salad for lunch and dinner will be baked chicken and grilled veg... Hi to everyone else, hope you have a good day! Nancy |

Good morning!
I too have the scale blues this morning. I've been off the steroid and antibiotic for a week now and still the scale is slowly creeping up, 208.2 this morning, I'm up .5 of a lb. That puts me up 2 lbs in 2 weeks and I haven't gone off plan at all. ![]() |

Hey everybody! Bad weigh in today, but it's to be expected. I haven't worked out in almost a week due to my messed up knee. Going to the doctor's today to get it checked out and maybe get a few tips on how to exercise without hurting myself. It would be nice! I had a rough weekend with family too. Everyone kept offering me cake. After the 4th attempt I caved and had a small sliver. Then another. Sigh...at least I'm only up a couple of pounds and not 5 like last time.
Wish me luck with the ol' doc! |

Good Morning all!
I am having lots of trouble getting back on plan! Not preparing like I usually do - so same old boring meals that are not filling me up anymore for some reason. Causing me to head back to the kitchen and snacking - lc - but overloading on it! I need to work on better menus and more variety. Also need to get more movement in, getting company this week and have been indoors too much - cleaning and re-arranging.
Iam - your house sounds so nice - good to get all that work done. Wonderful that you heard from Need to be Healthy! Wish she would come back here! All you injured honey badgers need to rest up a bit! Laughing at the "ice, ice baby". I am committed to better meals this week - need to fire up the BBQ - thinking that will be a good change. Want to try some of Pooties - recipes too they look so delish! Re-committing this week - to being on plan and moving my behind! Coleen |

Amber ![]() I'm up today too. My leg was aggrivated from going up & down the stairs with laundry all weekend so no exercise for me. I was ticked about not running, then even more ticked when I realized I couldn't do anything else either. Soooo...I took out my frustration on the food at a bbq/birthday party last night Back to the lc groove today though. I'm going to try yoga today to stretch out my leg, then a walk / maybe run tonight. It's funny, there was a time that I'd have welcomed an injury as an excuse not to exercise. Now, the frustration of not being able to exercise is enough to send me to an all out binge.

Hugs Amber! That is tough. I was let go when I was pg with YDD and as devastating as it was to me at the time, it has been the biggest blessing.
Cara, your cruise looked like a blast! Weigh in today was 189. Phew! Glad to be on the move down again with more VWL. I hate stalls ![]() |

Hello, I'm here. I notice that when I am not doing so well I don't post as much.
I haven't eaten off plan but my heart just isn't in it right now. I have been crazy busy and the scale isn't budging. I'm not taking the time to prepare the food like I should and am not eating enough. I really want a piece of pizza. I need to workout this week, but just haven't had the energy or time yet. So thats my story. Trying to get out of this funk. Oh and also really cemented that I am an emotional eater tonight. I felt it and resisted it. Had a crummy evening to do with work and immediately I was wanting DQ and bad fried foods. But I resisted and came home and had a half of a ham steak.

Hi all!
Amber - sorry about the job loss, there is a lot of that going around! Wishing you could get into the weight loss, exercise type of work as you are such an inspiration to us and could so help people! Good luck, finding something new - I can see where you would rock at sales too; you have that great outgoing personality!
I got the lawn half mowed yesterday - than my hands gave out! Dang, old mower is a b**** to move. I have blisters! My neighbor had mowed twice already - super embarrassing! I need to rake the hay up; once I finish! Suppose we need to get a new mower - there goes my new clothes once again this month! Gotta get moving here; geez I am crabby today! Coleen |

Coleen, you are not crabby just honest! Two weeks ago I was miffed about something & took it out on my yard-cut it extra short on the large field. Good thing cause while cleaning it the belt jumped off the tensioner pully. Jon has been so busy with the house he didn't fix it but will 1st thing tomorrow. I tried but don't have a man's strength. So I spent the past 2 days weed trimming the yard & pond, Pulling vines & cutting branches off the fence line & trimming low branches on the trees. My yard looks like a tornado ravished the fence line & trees because Left it all laying there. The kids are coming Fri/Sat & I figure most of that will be a good job for them. They can do the ree limbs but I have to do the fence row -it has poison ivey in what I pulled down & I don't want them anywhere near it! I can roll nakie in it & it won't bother me but if JON OR HIS KIDS JUST TOUCH IT massive medical problem.
Got the garage cleaned out today too now Jon can mess it up again. I have to clean as I go and he doesn't like to straigten things up til he finishes. Don't know how he functions like that but he is a man-go figure..... Hugs! |

Good Morning, Ladies (and gents?)
I'm feeling great today. Down a pound and I hope to keep it off (and then some) for Monday's weigh in. I saw the doctor about my knee, and it looks like tennis, elliptical and skating are out for two weeks. Damn. I can swim, though. Went yesterday and had a good time. Man Biscuit made me a tasty casserole last night with chicken, broccoli, toasted almonds and cheddar! Delicious. I brought some for lunch today and I'm really looking forward to it. Hope you guys have a great day! |

My arms are killing me from yesterday, my one friend I saw today is teaching a cardio fusion class tomorrow so I said I will check that out for something different, eating is good, I swear when you are working out it is even easier to stay on track, my friend has not seen me, she said Amber what do you weigh now like 170? I said holy crap Eileen I am having trouble holding on to 199, she said you are kidding you look so skinny, so I feel great I dont care if I am poor!! LOL I guess now I have my new lie weight, LOL Geez I remember using 250 and thinking that was a stretch, LOL

Hi all!
RE: PIZZA! I have tried numerous times to make one on my own - LC! Have thrown more concoctions away because they never taste right, but I found a cracker crust Bellatoria (just checked freezer and I don't have one on hand to give the carb count). But, they are the closest to real pizza that is fairly LC. When I get some more; I will post carb count! Not an everyday thing but I save my carbs for that day and add more cheese and enjoy!
I gotta do something with rhubarb - any ideas???? I'm going to try an LC torte just converting my standard recipe; only making half a recipe though. Will let you know if it is edible (lol, lot of failures lately). I get food cravings seasonally - it is now rhubarb! Used to make the torte, rhubarb bread, sauce, strawberry/rhubarb pie (no wonder I am diabetic and fat). Not much of a gardener but I do have rhubarb; can't let it go to waste/waist! Have a good day all - I have hair cut soon! Coleen |

Yay Amber! So glad you are back in the gym! I have been under the weather and will be so glad when I can get back to it myself.
I did go to the doctor today for my check up and I was 27 pounds lighter that when I saw her about 7 months ago and my blood pressure was 117/70 which for me is phenomenal! She was so proud and so was I. Now if my cholesterol is down, I am good to go! Just more weight to lose! At least I am on the right track. Getting healthy is my main goal and it seems I am doing that so I am very excited about that. Amber, I saw where you coworker came by. That was a nice thing for him to do! And he is right, onward and upward to something better! I think you will end up doing something inspirational to others. I think it is just meant to be!!!!!! All part of your journey!

Hello, First off let me say a huge I'm Sorry for being a downer the other day. It has got me to thinking though and this is what I have come up with.
We all know that this WOE and having to watch what we eat is going to be a part of our lives forever, right? So I was in a funk, unjustified, but I still was. Instead of relishing in where I had come from, and all of the positive things, I got mad when the scale quit moving. Even though I had just came off of a 10day continuous scale drop. So day two comes, still nothing, day three of no scale change and actually going up a bit, I get down and discouraged. I start thinking about going off plan. Why not, the scale isn't moving anyway.... BAD, BAD. So Today I did eat way too many carbs for me to lose weight, but I am not looking at it as a failed off plan day. It was just a too many carbs day. Tomorrow I plan on staying on enough carbs to lose weight. I am on another thread and someone over there said, that you have to give yourself room for those grey days. I hope this helps as I feel very free by this way of thinking. Went to ZUMBA and it was so much fun and it kicked my butt!!! My mom watched the girls for me while I went and I was running to go as she was getting home. I had on an XL T-shirt that I hadn't worn in 12 years, and a pair of gym shorts. My mom caught a glimpse of me and said, WOW... Look at you. You look great and I'm so proud of you. I even heard a catch in her voice. I said thanks and kept on going because I was late. The moment had passed by the time I got back but it was great to hear it from her. I have to be positive and focus on the positive to be healthy!!! |
