Thanks AmyLiz! I hope it continues, but I'm beginning to think I may be one of those people who loses in little spurts and then stays steady and repeat. It's not how I've lost weight on this plan in the past, but I'm not really complaining either. I'll take any downward movement over staying this heavy.... just have to remind myself of that every once in a while

I am definitely a person who loses in spurts...i'll lose 3 or 4 lbs in one week, then bounce around for the next 6-8 weeks. It's maddening!

Ugh... 6-8 weeks... nooooooo! lol But look at your stats... you're shrinking! Progress is progress, even if it doesn't happen exactly how and when we want it to, I guess.

TGIF! sad to say i am up again... 224.6 ugh. My own fault though, we went out for wings... I was doing so well I ordered naked wings dusted in a lemon pepper dry rub... but then hubbys deep fried pickles showed up... i had a bite after pulling the breading off lol... Then a bite with the breading.. then shared his beer and proceeded to eat all the carrots from the veggie plate. Back to eggs for me today!

Doing great everyone. I'm on one million and umpteen days of meat and eggs (blech!) and have also cut my beloved AS and am drinking nothing but water. Not even coffee or tea. If that doesn't work I'm done for anyway.

On a plus note down about 2 lbs this morning to 188.0. Not my lowest but closer than my highest, so good enough for today.

Hang in there guys! and Great job AmyLiz, new lows are always awesome

Great job AmyLiz & Elise!

Boop... lol.. I can so see that happening. Good job jumping right back on plan!

Nada for me today, but scale almost wanted to be a pound down. lol Maybe tomorrow or after this busy weekend. Kiddo has swim championships today and then we have our local specialty dog show (all day, all great danes) both Saturday and Sunday. Fun fun fun, but busy busy busy. As usual with busy weekends water will be my rough spot... but don't really want to be running to the bathroom constantly either. Hmmm.

190 today!!

Okay, I realize I utterly failed at putting the scale away until the end of the month. I didn't even make it one day. But anyway.

I've started jogging. If you knew me better, you'd fall over, believe me.

But I can't seem to help myself, I've got so much energy! I have to exercise. This is probably where the apparent weight gain came from - putting on muscle and bone to accommodate the added activity.

The bad news is that there are not a single used pair of size 16 pants (that are long enough) in town, and I refuse to buy new pants that I'm going to wear for a month, so I look like I'm wearing my big sister's clothes right now. One of these days I'm going to have an embarrassing incident where my pants fall down.

Could be worse, right?

Lynne

P.S. Brewstate, have you considered fast fiving? If all else fails...it works pretty well.

Oh Lynne, its great that you are jogging and that your pants are falling off, but please don't do them together! I insist you buy at least one fitting pair of pants to jog in or calamity may ensue (the skinny kind thankfully).

I will admit complete ignorance of fast fiving. What is it. Obviously since I'm down to eggs and water at this point, I'll try just about anything. And you are a great spokesman considering your success. *Running to google right now*

Hi, Brew -
Here ya go: Welcome to the Fast-5 website | Fast-5 Life

There's a free e-book on there somewhere, which is what I got.

Here's the basics: You don't eat anything at all until 5pm. Then from 5-10pm you've got a "window" where you can eat whatever you like.

There's some good science behind it, it's the same principle as the Carb Addict's Diet, but it works a little better I think.

It might work for you exactly as he's written it, which is to eat whatever you want between 5-10pm. But I had to tweak it a bit to get it to work, and to get myself to do it.

How I tweak it: I use a little half and half in my coffee during the fasting period. I measure it so it doesn't get out of hand.

I only eat one meal during the not-fasting period, and that meal is low-ish carb and high-ish fiber (not more than 50g carbs).

I tend to eat sunflower seeds (the kind you have to shell, one at a time) after dinner for a tv snack, until 10pm.

I drink 2L of (sparkling) water a day.

Bon chance!!
Lynne

Lol, I could never go on a diet that tells me I can eat whatever I want.... because I would!

But I can see where it might work, if one worked it of course within reason. I often don't eat untill 2:00 or even 5:00 because ketosis has been very very good to me.

Virgin Territory today! Got to change my stats. I'm at 237, that's 35 lbs down since January 9th. I tried on an old pair of Target capris yesterday in a size 16, granted they ran very generous size-wise, but still, I got them on! Would never wear them in public, and not at all comfy, but hey, I got them on and up over the hips!

Get and get those lbs off dagnabit!!

Have a good "on plan" weekend everyone!!

Thanks Lynn, I think I will try that to see if I can't supercharge this weight off. I may go ahead and continue my M/E fast as well with no Artificial sweetner for a few days because today I was down to 185.8

The lowest weight since I got pregnant with my nearly 7 year old.

I really think it may have been the sodas. I hate that as much as they were my treat, but wow. Since cutting them out 3 days ago, I'm down nearly 5 lbs.
We can do this guys! If you are having trouble just cut everything out until you find the culprit and then add slowly back in.

Good job on the losses!!!! I am standing still, actually up .8 from my standstill since my mega workout. Going to drink more water and see if I can't get the scale moving again.

Bounced down to 189 today...but rested at 190. I'll take 190, I guess, which is still 25 lbs lost since the challenge began!! Not bad!!

Amanda, I'll bet you've got 6 lbs of...um, waste product...sitting in your gut. It's amazing how much that stuff weighs. Sorry to be disgusting, but hopefully that's the problem because, you know, it will PASS.

I am so jazzed about all of us that are in brand new territory, weight wise!! That's so hard psychologically, for some reason. It's almost like it feels unsafe. Am I the only one who feels that way?

Brew, I forgot to comment on your comment yesterday about my pants falling down. but I went and got more pants, this time in size 16. Sadly, they don't fit too well yet, but I know they will. It's just a matter of time.

So the 18s are too big (except for about 10 minutes right out of the dryer), but 16s are too small. I guess it's time to go buy a belt.

Hi Everyone thanks for the welcome! Nice to see you all slimming down. I am like the rest of you in that my scale will say many different things depending on how I stand on it. I take the average and keep going. My goal is to lose 2 pounds per week. I think that's pretty reasonable. After 5 weeks, I'll have 10 pounds off (hopefully) and then from there I can re-assess. My official weigh in day is Sunday so we'll see if I have maintained the two pound loss that I was hoping for....

You are all SO inspiring. Congratulations to all of you who have been rocking this challenge!

I have had the worst crud--coughing, laringytis, fatigue, etc., for over 2 weeks now. Taking OTC cold meds big-time. Finally beginning to get my voice back, but still hoarse and cranky. Have been WAY off-program during this time, having weird cravings and just generally dragging myself to work and dragging myself to the shower and dragging myself to bed and stuffing my face in between, except when I wasn't hungry AT ALL, which was weird. Anyway, it's been a strange time, and I've gained some weight, though not so much that I'm seriously worried, but I've definitely de-railed a bit in terms of my eating. I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience when they've had upper respitory trouble, and what advice if any you have for getting back on program (low-carb)?

Well, i am up today... but that is ok, I am off to shop today = lots of walking! also headed to the Cheesecake factory for lunch... I have already talked myself into a grilled fish entree for that, and hoping to be strong enough to say no to the cheesecake (have I mentioned that cheesecake is the only dessert that I love ) I will not order a piece, may give in to a small bite of my husbands... after all it is his Birthday Cheesecake... right!?!
